Hey, so I have run into an issue overall, maybe I have a wrong idea in mind but, just want to confirm that I'm not missing anything. Generally my result is this: I have a club that is closed, one club member is able to invite further members The club members have a privileg in another application with another database I use OAuth to authorize the user and gain the member id and some other data like groups I save the whole data, where the other application has access on to gain the user information and prefereable if they are in the club Now my issue is, I want to have also the information if a player is in the club. Hi, I am not sure what the situation here is but I feel VERY lost in setting this forum up for the first time. My biggest issue right now is I know where to go to access my forum, but then how do i login / manage it? There is no backend portal or even trying to login with my Existing (this) Invision C account it says my user name and password is wrong! So then I say ok forgot password and it NEVER sends me an email, so is there even any Email ID validation happening to see if that email is even a registered user? I submitted a support request on Sunday and its now Wednesday and no one has responded... What do i do now? how to do i login? …

I need to be able to link to the profile edit. We would like to use it registration page for the product. So if the member disabled the profile completion then its no longer comes back. Now I would like to add a tab at the top "Register your product". I need to be able to bring the member back to edit his/her profile page again. Like I demo'ed the idea and the dismissed the profile completion now I can't get it to start back up.

This is a strange one... Everything looks fine when the default language English (USA) is used but I wanted to give the option to have dates displayed in the international style (DD-MM-YYYY), so I created a new language and gave it the English (United Kingdom) localisation. Before I'd made any translations, I noticed that some words were missing from the interface when the new language was used. Specifically "and" and "or" but only in certain places. Here's an example: I haven't made any template edits that affect the pages involved, so what's going on? I'm stumped. Curiously, I can't even find the affected strings in the language file, so where are they? ?

Hello IPB users. I'm having a permission problem with my forums. I am an admin, in the Admin group (the default one). The admin group is additionally listed as an unrestricted moderator. In short, I have access to all of the boards member features, moderative features, and administrative features. Yet, I cannot view the results of a poll. I had to close a poll as it had expired and the results were already announced in a post, but after closing I was greeted with the message: "You do not have permission to vote in this poll, or see the poll results." Syntax highlighting in IPS has really improved since I last looked at it a few years ago. However, the language I need is not included by default. I need syntax highlighting for LISP and I can see that this is supported in highlight.js, which I believe the Code Snippet plugin uses by default. So my question is, how do I include LISP on the list of available options in my editor?

THIS is almost a joke. We've been trying to upgrade our dozens of sites to 4.3x and almost everyone fails - error after error - different servers - 4.3.4 itself couldn't upgrade (bug) and you can't use 4.3.3 or anything lower to do it, which did upgrade OK. Amazingly enough, we can easily upgrade our 3.4.9 sites to VBulletin? How is this even possible that we can convert an IPB site to VB error free and we can't even upgrade a site from IPB to IPB? ? ? This is like me having to take a Camaro, Corvette or Challenger to a Ford dealer for engineering support. This has been one momentous pain. . .

I can't seem to figure out how to select and move a few posts from one topic to another topic. When I try to select posts and go to MODERATE and MOVE, it moves the entire thread, not the selected posts. I just want to move a few posts to a more appropriate thread.

Hello I have ran google Adsense on my forum for years, but lately it is blocking pages due to certain content that is against its policy for example a knife related subject, etc. I have my Adsense banners setup in IPB to show in the forum header, footer, etc Question being how do I prevent certain forum sections and my classifieds section from showing Adsense code ? Hello, The calendar application on my install is locked down to signed in Members-only, since our Forum is a paid member benefit provided by our organization. However, I would like to make the calendar publicly available--at least enough that anyone can subscribe to the ICS file. My problem is that when I make the app visible to guests, they can also see all the widgets with information like who is online. Since those widgets contain information on member names and topics, I can't let them be visible to guests. Is there any way to configure the Calendar application so that it is visible to signed-in Members with all widgets, but only visible to Guests …

Hello, I have memcached and redis installed on my server, but for some reason IPB don't detect it. Maybe I have to edit some conf file of IPB ??? How can I test if the php extension of these caching methods are installed ? Just to be 110% sure ? Is there a commmand ? Any help would be appreciated.

For a while now I'm getting an odd Pop3 error in my Systems Logs but not really sure it affects anything. Email seems to works fine, so I wonder if anyone knows what this means, it happens every 10 minutes and it's been going for months. The urls where the error occurs vary.

Hi All, My server guys agreed to enable AutoSSL for my website. So what all the things to look for before/after enabling HTTPS. I can see below guide is helpful : 1) But please let me know if any other settings to be changed ? or any things I need to consider ? 2) I read in a discussion to enable 'serve images locally?' setting when HTTPS is enabled. Where can I find this setting ? 3) In my old posts, if I displayed images from a HTTP URL OF MY WEBSITE, what will happen to those images ? They give any error ? Do I need to modify all image paths ?

Our website has been silent the past few months as our group has put projects on hold. We recently started a new project and a member of the website told me they were unable to react to posts. So I figured it was just my software being outdated. Updated it and checked through all the settings I could find on reactions and still not able to fix it. anytime a reaction is given the response "Sorry, there was a problem reacting to this content." any quick suggestions? I searched the forum, but did not seem to find any luck.

Somewhere along the line, IPB disabled the default status updates setting. They just recently added a setting to allow you to enable the default setting, for new accounts. How do I mass apply this to existing members? I have new members groups with this "group level" setting turned off by default. Regular members enabled.

I have noticed something since upgrading to 4.3.5 as some posts seem to keep re-appearing in the unread topic list when they have actually been read. Is this because "maybe" the poster has edited the post? Is this normal behavior now? Thanks
