I used to run a website powered by Shopify and I placed one piece of Google Ad code within my "Shopify" global template. This automatically enabled google ads to appear across my website. From within my Google Adsense account I was then able to control where ads were placed across my site and easily select which parts of my website pages should not contain adverts. This was the handy part of working with Shopify. At the top and bottom of my website i've added custom blocks of Google Adsense code. See screenshot below. From this photo you can see the top part of my site where there's a standard sized 728 X 90 google advert. This is just one of googles "standard" sized adverts which isn't responsive. I thought the advert was fine when viewed on larger screens i.e. Desktop PC, until I began viewing my site on my mobile phone and part of the advert when viewed in Portrait mode was cut out! I'm noticing an issue that on our site members who haven't selected "remember me" on login aren't staying logged in. They successfully authenticate, but then end up logged out. How would we troubleshoot what's going on here? I can replicate by going to an incognito window, log in with remember me unselected, and then after typing in 2FA, I'm logged out. If I check "remember me," I stay logged in as expected.

Can someone tell me, or point me towards documentation that tells me how friendly URLs are put together? I'm trying to convert a site that has had friendly URLs switched on for a long time, but I'm trying to enable URL rewrites to kind of finish the job. Hi there, Currently we have the configuration below. The issue our moderators are questioning is this. If we give a user his second warning, he will be restricted from posting for 7 days. If, however, within this period we give him another warning (his third, in this case), the system doesn't add the remaining number of days from the previous warning to the new number of days. For instance, if the user gets his second warning today, and later today he gets his third point, he will be restricted from posting for 15 days instead of 22 days (7 days from the second point + 15 days from the third point). Happy New Year everyone. I've been wondering this for a long time, and I have searched here but I haven't found any conclusive answers. I've been pondering about using Pages to commission someone to make a directory, and for that I would like to pull fields from the members' profiles. I understand that's possible. Now, I believe it would impractical to do so, if I wasn't able to create pages with widgets whose default is a random sorting of the entries every time you load the page. Hello. Is there a way to set some sort of limit on the number of posts users can hide/delete? Privacy is very important for our community and sometimes members might want to remove sensitive things they posted. I would love to give them that opportunity but my previous experience shows that it will be used and abused when they start deleting everything. It would be great if I could set only x% of the total posts to allowed to be deleted/hidden or only x per time frame. Something that would prevent mass deletion of all content. Thank you.

My forum is running on Amazon AWS Elastic Beanstalk. But as you know when you update, you usually deploy the whole local project files as one big file. So, when I change settings on the server(EB), the changes are lost when I deploy a new version. So if it is possible, I would like to kinda download the changed settings(?) to also apply the changes to my local settings. Or if there's any other way please let me know.

A few of our moderators threw an idea at me and also said that it was possible when we were using VB, so I'm asking to see if it's also possible on IPS. Is there any way to block a member who's content currently needs approval (because of multiple warning) from posting in a certain forum/s? We have one forum that is basically just banter, and posting in it is reserved for long(er) time members who abide by the community rules and basically are good guys. Here is my problem. sitemap generator task for IPS execute this function. ips/system/Sitemap/Sitemap.php:buildNextSitemap() This function has this statement $extension->getFilenames(). which points to applications\cms\extensions\core\Sitemap\Databases.php:getFilenames() But the problem is this function (Databases.php:getFilenames()) never executes (I tried adding breakpoint), and IPS instead returns a old cached result of the function. As soon as I turn on dev mode, this function start executing and uncached result returns. How do I clear all the caching or regenerate the cache so that returned output of the function is latest. When adding TAGS to articles, forums or gallery images, they look aweful from a design point of view. They take up a lot of space (if you add many tags). So my question is.... If I already add META key words to articles, is there much point adding tags as well? And is there a way to hide TAGS from showing on the front end? So members can still add tags but the tags wont show up on the front end which would create a more aesthetically looking website. What is the whole point of tags anyway? Do they provide better Search Engine Optimisation or do they simply just allow users to search the whole website for certain key words or phrases?

I have this file "applications\abc\dev\js\admin\controllers\configuration\ips.configuration.form.js" which I load via $form = new Form('form', 'save', NULL, array('data-controller' => 'abc.admin.configuration.form')); Now I face some problems: 1. When I turn off dev mode, the file doesn't load at all. 2. Sometime it loads, but it keep showing the old cached version. 3. I compile it and then create a new version. Hello guys. So when I click “next” inside a topic with 300+ replies, it usually takes more than 3+ seconds to load the destination page... my website (a forum) is pretty smooth in general. 1-2 seconds for home page, sub-forums, topic list, club etc. so is the problem related to database (MySQL) rather than hardware ( cpu, ram, Apache setting etc) ? what do you think? Thanks!
