So I'm currently self hosting a couple of forums Both are old sites that have been running since around 2004 or so They're large in size of database but also storage due to uploads over the years of images etc by members I've tried Invision hosted communities a few times over the years but always had issues with it in terms of speed, downtime or issues but due to price increases by my current hosts I'm tempted to try once more Could I get some advice as to whether I should trust Invision to host my stuff or not?

PHP 8 no longer silently ignores fatal errors. Background processing of profile pictures in our self-hosted instance was failing on system\Images\Gd.php line 224, which throws a fatal error on imagecolorsforindex if the computed transparency index of a GIF is outside the color range of the image. When someone uses Stripe's Google/Apple Pay for purchasing, is automatic renewing an option? I do not see automatic renewals enabled on the ACP's customer view. That only appears when the user uses card details. As does the automatic renewal option during checkout.

I had a collaborator setting an event in the calendar that was repeating without a repeating end. After fixing this and removing the repeating, the iCalendar subscription is still picking up the repeat and generating 2 years of daily events. I tried removing the subscription from my google calendar and adding it back but it didn't work. I then removed the event but no luck with that either. How can i fix this issue?

I am running apache 2.4.52 with php 8.1.10. I have enabled mod_rewrite and have confirmed that it should be working (rewrite from http://site.com to https://www.site.com works) however when I upload and rename the .htaccess to the folder (/var/www/html) then enable rewrite urls it fails. I am assuming something is set incorrectly in apache config, but I have no idea what that incorrect setting may be. I have restarted apache after enabling and done a complete reboot of the server as well.

If I try to upload images, I got: If I try to use the option Supply HTML Code, it won't save and will reload the page; no "error" shows up. This is happening on a 4.7.2.1 fresh install bu it also happens on my live board.

Hello, when users clicks "dismiss" on the alert screen then the redirect loop error message appears... URL looks like this: [...]/alert/1/?do=dismiss&csrfKey=... Tested on 2 different sites (with PHP 7.4 and 8.0), same problem.

Forum upgraded over weekend and obtaining following issues: If attempting to use previous custom theme the following error report appears: [[Template core/front/global/footer is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] If I disable that theme, restore default theme then my custom css then stops working and some images don't appear. Please advise. 🙂

In my current forum (I have not yet converted to Invision), I have some daily "feedback posts" for all the projects posted on that day. Members like to be able to see what I am talking about and since I refer to images and not text, quoting them is not the most convenient way to go. So far, my way around was to identify the post with its number. I did conversion from phpBB to IPS 3.x beta years ago. So what it's complaining about? How can I get rid of this errors? An app contains a hook that extends \IPS\convert\Software but it's associated file /home/xxx/public_html/applications/convert/sources/Software/Software.php could not be found.

I just upgraded my live forum from 4.5 to 4.7.2.1 and all went well during the upgrade, then I enabled and updated all Marketplace Apps & Plugins and all went well. This was all done with PHP 7.4 and MariaDB 10.3.35-MariaDB-cll-lve Then I switched to PHP 8 and forum went blank white page Switched back to PHP 7.4 and disabled all Apps (2) and plugins and modified default theme switched to IPS default theme Switched to PHP 8 and same thing all blank website What next to go to PHP 8? I have tried to add giropay and ideal, to the checkout options. But they are not showing up for any customers. Even if they are in germany. I have tried to check logs on the admincp and stripe, but nothing shows in the logs I do use cloudflare, i dont know if that can somehow corrupt the process 🙂 Do you guys know what might be the problem?
