Is .webp currently supported for logos? Unless I am mistaken, within the ACP, I only see an option within "Posting" to set images upload extensions but I see no other abilities to set extensions throughout the site. Am I missing where I can enable this?
When I try to upload a .webp logo, I get the error:

It's already been fixed on here (and is unrelated to the browers being used) by turning off the combined fluid view on the forum (it was in the "Community Managers ..." forum, not in this one, but the way)
    Easy to reproduce:
Create a forum Create a sub-forum in that form Back to the first forum - go to display settings and enable combined fluid view in the display settings Go to the front-end and view the forum - click 'start new topic' and you get the dialog with 2 forums to choose from Back to the ACP - delete the sub-forum Back to the front-end, refresh the forum - click 'start new topic' and you get the dialog with only 1 forum to choose from Back to the ACP - edit the forum, look at the the combined fluid view setting and it is off (but it isn't really...click save and now it is) Back to the front-end, refresh the forum - click 'start new topic' and it now goes to the form as there is only one forum available, so no dialog.

By no means do I know anything, about anything but in case it matters. I just tried to create a new topic and was taken directly to the new thread creation. Chrome browser here.

Thanks, I was using Firefox on Win10 at the time. I tried it just now in the same forum using my iPad (Safari) and it took me straight to the form too.

This message is only displayed while the community is offline.  It is not displayed during an upgrade.  While the site is being upgraded, you would have to set the constants.php variable noted by Matt.

    On the registration page....

The words "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" are actually hyperlinks if you've set those policies in your ACP.  They're not underlined, but they're clickable links if you actually click on them.
But I don't believe it does that unless you actually have a policy defined in the ACP.  That's what people in this thread are telling you to do.

My Sharona reacted to Dreadknux in Images - Gallery/Grid Arrangement!
From a content creation/design aspect, the one thing that I think is perhaps the most frustrating in the IPS suite is the inability to insert images in a gallery/grid-like arrangement in the editor/page. If there is one feature that prevents me from fully converting my Wordpress site into an IPS Pages/CMS setup, it is this.
Wordpress allows for the upload of images, much like IPS - but also allows for the insertion of 'gallery'/grid containers that can neatly include these attachments on the page.
Some images to illustrate how Wordpress does it:

    ^ Initial 'Gallery' Block container

^ Image Uploader and Gallery Image Arrange Dialog

^ The image gallery/grid output (on the WYSIWYG editor but this also has the same appearance on the public site)

    ^ Gallery container block options

    ----------
It boggles my mind that there isn't anything close to something like this available out of the box on IPS Suite. I have a number of other improvement suggestions related to image upload that I hope the IPS Staff is also taking on board, but I feel like this small improvement would be a trivial enhancement to add to a monthly update patch and would add so much QOL improvements for those of us who want to decorate our content in an organised way.
Could something like this be taken on board and added to a future release please?

@Matt Thank you for the care and concern. You guys and the support from IPS is amongst the best, if not the, best. I can't tell you how much it means. Having suffered through many years with support that didn't come close. While I may not agree with all direction taken (it's not my show), the effort and energy IPS continually displays with regard to it's customer base shows.
I have asked a few, seen where others have asked for a file to be updated (hence, no need for me to add redundancy), and saw where others have said they have submitted updates that have been approved yet subsequent comments indicate that errors are still being thrown. This last was the impetus for my comment here:

Not to single anyone out here, and she does work that is amazing but I see where @HeadStand (and I do apologize here for the example, Esther) submitted an update that was apparently approved. I say apparently because if you venture to the file in question it says that it is compatible with 4.7 and a bit further down the page, under, 'What's New in Version 2.4.6', it states that it was, 'Updated for 4.7.2 compatibility.'
Now, if you read down from my linked content, 'submitted,' you will see that even though the file was approved for 4.7.2, customers are complaining that they are receiving errors and that the PHP8 Compatibility Scanner is flagging the file, even though it was approved as a compatible file.
To her credit, Esther checked the file even after it was approved by IPS, to be sure it was what it was supposed to be. After which she stated that it was correct. Subsequently, other customers indicated they too were getting flagged.
All of which reiterates my contention, how does one know if it works when there is so much confusion.

I don't want my site to break, I want to upgrade to remain current. I want to upgrade before I am forced to, but only want to do so when I am certain that the probability that things will break is next to zero. IPS could help with these concerns but I think sometimes that the minutiae some customers express gets lost in the hustle and bustle that (in this particular instance) PHP 8.x is causing. I expressed my concerns in a way I thought to be clear but, as I stated, sometimes, for whatever reason, things get lost in the shuffle.

It happens to me too, it's rare and random (Self-hosted).

Using a custom theme (not the default one) along with 2/3 plugins/apps, difficult to determine where the anomaly comes from.
I was thinking a quick double click and a temporary server slowdown.

Invision Community is growing! We are excited to welcome a new team member to our Customer Service team so we can better serve you!
Please help me welcome …🥁… @Gary!

Gary has been a long-time fan and user of Invision Community. We are excited to have his experience and fresh perspective on our team.

This is what he had to say…

Share with us why you wanted to join the Invision Community team.
I have been a huge fan of forum software and creating websites in general for so many years and stumbled upon Invision Power Board whilst I was still in high school (circa 2004-2005). The first forum I created was on Invisionfree (that brings back so many good memories!) and I remember creating so many different types of communities. I registered an account at Invision Community in 2007 and always dreamed of creating a successful community, but finding a niche proved to be very difficult. Last year there were positions advertised at Invision Community, and whilst I was not successful then, I decided to apply again for the more recent ad and was pleasantly surprised when I heard back from the team: persistence is key! Personally, forums have always been a passion and hobby of mine, and to be able to spend time on them in an official capacity is such an amazing opportunity and I thought I could bring something new and fresh to the Invision Community family.

What excites you about this role?
Aside from having a passion for customer service and helping the community in whatever capacity I can, I am most excited about the freshness I can bring to the community. I am an advocate of working collaboratively internally and externally and I am really excited to see what Invision Community has in store for us all to maintain its standing at the forefront of modern community software.

Gary, we are so excited to have you! Welcome to the team! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Gary in the comments.

You can, of course, make changes how you see fit. It's your community 🙂 . I am just saying from an administrative perspective, you don't want to remove things from your "power" account just to view as your members do. It's putting yourself in chains, so to speak, because you're restricting and removing abilities that an administrator should have to perform tasks as an administrator.
The other side of it too is often administrators go down this route and then come to us, it would be great if we could do "x, y, z" but "x, y, z" is already a feature in our software, they restricted themselves from seeing it when they setup their community and forgot.
Some of our clients do the reverse as I am suggesting. They have an administrator account which they log in to do admin or moderator activities but the rest of the time, they view/post under an account which has permissions just like a regular user. Each is seen on the community as "staff" but like you, they like to see things as a user, so they set things up that way. Just food for thought 🙂 .

You would have seen this when you first upgraded to a version with the ACP marketplace. It would have been shown as an admin notification
