Of course. Leave it disabled! That’s al you have to do. I’ll check the app version and will submit a fix to marketplace then you will have to wait by IPS to review and approve it.

This is not a plugin anymore. Disable it. You have to install the app available on marketplace.
I’ll check the version today later.

I have this same issue with redis and css. I had to disable redis for my site to load properly. Otherwise, every few clicks the css wouldn't load.
    Did you resolve this issue?

We are updating the tagged maximum supported version for Elasticsearch in the next maintenance update.

Is there any list of official versions of items supported?
For example, the 4.5.2 release notes say "Updates search compatibility for Elastic Search 7." but according to @bfarber in this post, only 7.6.2 and earlier is supported. How are we supposed to know the exact versions supported before we upgrade to 4.5.2, without searching the forum for all possible issues? I can imagine many people just upgrading elasticsearch to the newest version from the repo and finding out later that it doesn't work. Plus, how many other items are like this? An official versions supported document would be great.

None of my issues were tech issues. It was all Amazon communication issues.

They are widely used because they are cheap, not because the company has good service.

Be careful with SES though. There's a reason it's so cheap. When things go wrong, you'll be left hanging for weeks at a time by the Amazon "support" staff.

Chris027 reacted to Rhett in Export Theme HTML Templates?
There is a built in tool in the edit themes section in which you can compare to a stock template to see your exact changes and update as needed.  No need to download them in this case as that feature is all built in.
Select edit HTML& CSS on a theme in the admincp > from the upper right drop down menu select "Show Default"  and it will show the two side by side, highlighting the changes between the two templates.

I used Sendgrid based on the recommendation of the IPS staff and because support is built into IPS. Unfortunately the price of Sendgrid is 10x that of Amazon's SES simple email service.
I just switched over to Amazon SES and am stuck using the SMTP route rather than via the API because there isn't native support via IPS like there is for Sendgrid.
I'd like to ask for or vote for IPS adding support for Amazon SES, just like it supports Sendgrid.

Chris027 got a reaction from sobrenome in Amazon SES API For Sending Mail
I was a huge fan of Amazon SES. I used SendGrid until it started costing several hundred dollars per month to send emails. I switched to SES and everything was good and inexpensive. Then Amazon decided to block my account because of a crazy plugin glitch that sent hundreds of emails per second for an hour before I could stop it. Working with Amazon to get my account unblocked was impossible. Email exchanges took days and there was zero clarity about how to work with them in the future. I didn't want to deal with Amazon anymore because it's a terrible company to work with as a small business.
I switched to sending email from my own server. This is also a nightmare because now I have to work with ISPs from around the world who block my email for no good reason. One German ISP won't pass my email to its customers until I put my complete physical address on my website. I can't do that because I've received threats in the past.

I would’ve been interested but I’ve stopped using Amazon for nearly everything because the company will take actions that can bring parts of your site down but only reply to support emails once per week. Amazon is a terrible business partner.

There isn't a way to do this from the UI, but you could look in the database directly if you're familiar with phpmyadmin. You'll want to look at the core_ratings database table.
