I guess it was just a temporary caching or routing issue in connection with the server move. Everything is working fine now.

Marketplace was really good option to find everything in one spot. Now i need to register on 20 different sites and half I don't even remember.
It's like Apple telling to it's customer, here take iPhone. You want apps? Go on developers site and install from their. Jeez, what a nightmare.
Take care of your health. Rest everything will go on.
PS I am one of the customers who is unhappy because support/ticket system is gone and have to deal with broken donation system in store.

Steph40 reacted to opentype in Bug: Accepting guest cookies on a website with Discovery as homepage leads to empty page
I’ve reported this already in September in a reply, but it might not have gotten attention this way.
    Steps to reproduce:
visit an Invision Community website with Discovery as the homepage (like the one I link with this topic) and stay on the homepage delete all stored cookies if there are any Reload the page so the cookie bar appears on the homepage.  Click Accept Cookies Result: Cookies get saved but the activity feed is removed and a page with an empty body is loaded (see screenshot) I can consistently replicate this on all my communities with Discovery as the homepage. It only happens for the root page “/”, not “/discover/6/" or anything like that. The browser doesn’t matter. It does not happen on a website where Forums or Pages is set as default app. The URL looks like this index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=cookies&do=cookieConsentToggle&ref=aH…
So, it seems to fail to forward the user to the previous page because no “page” is detected.

It would be nice to have a fix in the 4.x line. After all, the homepage is the most typical place where people will accept the cookie bar and presenting them with an empty page is not a very good start to keep people on the site.

I've been using IPB since 2006 with the MSSQL driver.   I was always attracted to the flexibility of the platform with minimal programming.
Recently tech support has become more difficult.  It's harder to find code examples and removing the marketplace killed a creativity source for me.   I had a stroke a few years ago, so my development skills are retarded, but still I believe this is one of the poorer organized forms in regards to technical documentation.
A wiki, kept up to date by your community, would really help in development IMHO.
    Good luck all!

I am also stumped why the marketplace or at least a directory of available plugins and apps is no longer available. Not like the older days when it was easy to find a solution to certain things within minutes.

wish you luck in the future Martin!

I totally understand the situation, and I put myself on developers' shoes.
Only one thing we want from developers; please let us know if you are exiting (Do not just disappear)
And please please give us an exit plan....
    That's all we want...
    Thank you for your input...

This file will be supported by me, from now on, on my board: https://www.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?/file/298-community-map/
You can redeem the marketplace purchase keys provided by IPS to keep getting updates and support for this application.
    Thank you.

    Okay, thanks.
For anyone interested or finding this in future, here's the 4 CSS rules I used to increase the size of the product images in Commerce. I didn't go as far as editing the HTML templates to add lazy loading or anything but it's a start:
    /* Add to custom.css - Overide and increase size of tiny Commerce product images */ .cNexusProduct_image, .cNexusCategory_grid .cNexusProduct_image { width: 100%; height: auto; } .cNexusProduct_image img, .cNexusProduct_image .ipsNoThumb, .cNexusCarousel.cNexusCategory_grid .cNexusProduct_image img, .cNexusCarousel.cNexusCategory_grid .cNexusProduct_image .ipsNoThumb { width: 100%; max-height: 100%; max-width: 100%; } .cNexusCategory_list .cNexusProduct_image, .cNexusCategory_list .cNexusProduct_image img, .cNexusCategory_list .cNexusProduct_image .ipsNoThumb { max-height: 100%; min-width: 250px; } /* Align product images with top of row and Product title in List mode */ ol.ipsDataList.ipsDataList_large.cNexusCategory_list li.ipsDataItem div.ipsDataItem_generic { vertical-align: top; } /* End overide */

I know and I was one of the first to support your decision and I am really happy (you don't know how much 🙂 ) because it removes the restrictions of development for me and I can do bigger things.

I didn't mean how to set up my own marketplace, I know it perfectly (I'm doing it with Laravel and React - something I specialize in) but the point is enough time to prepare all these things. Because according to what you said,  it remains almost 2 months.

I mean, for example, in a particular case, as the sale of the product is currently active, why has its renewal been stopped? These two things are related. Don't you think so?
Because my customers expect to be able to download the new version of the app now that it is released.
If it didn't allow me to upload the new version when I wanted to upload the new version, you can be sure that I wouldn't have spent the time to write the previous post and this one.
I think that writing and explaining more about this matter, both from your side and from me, will not solve the problem because you have made your decision and done it.

here I want to ask customers to wait for a short time so that I can implement the update method and other things and I apologize to them for this.

I know you have a lot to do rather than this conversation, and really appreciate you taking the time to answer. I completely agree with what you said. It really makes sense but what about users whose purchases have expired? maybe they also want to update their apps to fix major/security bugs.

If they're not longer responsive, the same thing that would happen even if the marketplace remained open... you could continue using the application as long as it works.  But given there are no new updates or support...  it would mean if you run into problems later you would be on your own in terms of figuring out what the problem is.
IPS does not own the plugins/applications.  It's not for them to give to someone else.  That would be like me giving your website to someone else.  It's not my right to do that.  🙂

The site that will host my private marketplace is almost ready.

A detriment to the devs will be the loss of all the reviews their plugin/apps have generated. It would be a nice gesture on IPS' behalf if there was a way to salvage them.
