    Hi @Fosters,
It seems like this application is triggering a " There are some problems with your database " error under the support feature.
This is what I get when I click on "Fix This"
There are some problems with your database. Normally it is safe to try to fix these problems automatically however if your community is large, you may want to run the necessary queries manually. If so, the queries to run are: ALTER TABLE `core_groups` CHANGE COLUMN `pm_assign_items` `pm_assign_items` TINYINT (1) NULL DEFAULT 1 ALTER TABLE `core_groups` CHANGE COLUMN `pm_act_as_pm` `pm_act_as_pm` TINYINT (1) NULL DEFAULT 0 ALTER TABLE `core_groups` CHANGE COLUMN `pm_act_as_pm` `pm_act_as_pm` TINYINT (1) NOT NULL ALTER TABLE `core_groups` CHANGE COLUMN `pm_assign_items` `pm_assign_items` TINYINT (1) NOT NULL

@Mike John is there any ETA on the commerce being added? I bought this app a year ago basically for that upcoming feature lol. I have a lot of respect for you man honest I do, you do some great apps etc and a lot of them for free, but this app is letting you down for sure. The point of the app was to be a long term solid point app right? And if I am honest it has been disappointing, some of the promised upcoming features still awaiting to be implemented.
I am more than happy to pay for the app again once there is an update, even at a higher price, please update soon man a lot of communities are crying out for a solid points app that they can use to actually redeem rewards through their communities!
Even a rough ETA, something, anything would be gratefully received

    Hello,
why are group promotion rules only being executed when a targeted user visits the forum again?
For example: I have a rule for new people beeing moved to a different group after three days. But this rule is only beeing executed if a user visited the forum again. Then this special user will be moved to the next group.
But if a user visits the forum no more again or only after 10 days he stays in this "three days" group. This is not perfect in the case I want to target this three-days audience.
Could ips please move this promotion process to any cron job?

Non-Amazon S3 storage services do work with IPS 4.1x. Add your endpoint, key, secret, and sub-directory and custom url if needed, assign to some file category such as attachments or Gallery images and off you go!
However, these Non-Amazon S3 services are NOT officially supported by IPS - that's because some of the internal methods have not been altered to handle them. These methods are hard-coded for Amazon S3 exclusively.
If you are merely displaying images and the like on the front end, none of this is a problem. It becomes a problem if your end-users are going to download these files - that is when you hit the exclusively Amazon S3 code and the downloads will fail. For example, if you assign non-Amazon S3 storage to save IPS Downloads files, those files will not be downloadable. When the system attempts to make the download URL, it crafts that URL as if you were using Amazon S3, not some other S3-Compatible storage service.
The two major areas that this will impact are IPS Downloads files and Attachments (this is what the file storage is called in the Files list in the ACP - it encompasses all attachments such as those you would have anywhere the full editor is used and there is an attachment dropzone.)
This plugin intercepts the URL creation method called on Amazon S3 file storage objects, checks to see if it is an actual Amazon S3 request, and then just passes it on through as usual. If it is NOT an Amazon S3 request, it must be an S3 compatible method, in which case I provide a rudimentary URL to patch this up. It isn't anything fancy: just enough headers to push out the actual file name and trigger your browser to download it. If the attachment or file in question is an image your browser might just pop it up in a new tab, in which case just right click and download it there. This has been tested with the usual modern browsers (minus Safari), and various file-types. All testing was successful.
BTW, as an aside, external FTP storage for files is NOT COMPATIBLE with IPS Community in the Cloud. Might want to note that...
Free, support through the IPS Marketplace topic for now. Free also means lay off the instantaneous demands for support. I use this too so it's in my interest to keep this going. Support, and this plugin's existence, continues until IPS gets around to actually officially supporting Non-Amazon S3 storage.
    WARNING!
The only item in the entire IPS Suite that marks files as private is IPS Downloads. This plugin will flag them as public. This means a few things:
    1) If you are monetizing or otherwise require to fully control access to IPS Downloads files this is probably not the plugin for you. You will need to wait for complete 3rd Party S3 support, or at least specific mods to support obj.space, Digital Oceans Spaces, and so on. It really is just some hump work on getting the signatures correct (and it might be a V2 vs. V4 dance with varying providers as well - IPS just has a hard-coded-to-Amazon V4 method). Give it time, it will happen.
    2) If you are using this plugin on an already existing bucket with Downloads files, those files will need to be flagged as public-read for them to download correctly. Again, this plugin is just getting rid of the signatures to allow public files to download correctly from 3rd-party S3 providers.
    3) IPS Downloads users on IPS Community in the Cloud may need to wait forever and ever before the plugin will work correctly (forever and ever being defined as more than handful of minutes) as CIC caching takes some time to get things working. You *will* need to be infinitely patient. Like, install and then go drink something for awhile, read a book, etc. Then test. Don't yell at me saying this is broken., It isn't. Tested and verified on both own-hosting and CIC.
    Enjoy, good luck, etc...

    Tutorial 3: Scenarios
There are so many fun ways to utilize Custom Notifications.  The sky is the limit (and even then, we're ridin' high on a rocketship).  We have so many ideas for you, we had to group them into separate sections!  Pick and choose which scenarios you like, and start building your Custom Notifications!
    Awards System
Sample scenarios for you to reward and congratulate users for achieving new milestones:
Activity -- Create an informal system of activity awards by congratulating users on their activity in the website.  The criteria for content count includes any activity, such as writing a topic, responding to a post, answering a question, uploading an image, etc.  More content usually means more experience and greater membership with  the website. Reputation -- Tie into the default IPS rank by congratulating and notifying users about achieving a new rank.  When used in conjunction with the rank system, you can create a reputation awards system!   Leaderboard -- Let users race for the leaderboard in a daily competition by congratulating users if they were Member of the Day in the past.   Duration -- Do you have a user who has been a member for 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or even 1 decade with your website?  That's awesome!  Let them know about their anniversary day with a custom notification. Commerce
Drive more business by issuing custom notifications upon a recent purchase:
Thank You - Send a thank you note for supporting your website by purchasing a product or subscription. Upsell - Offer a relevant and more valuable purchase in your store.  Remember to link to the product so users can easily access.   Drip Campaign - Target these 'high-value' members by membergroup or purchase in a drip campaign by sending them custom notifications on a consistent basis.    Members
Get new members involved, get old members back, and get all members more involved:
New Members - Filter for lurkers with no content count or members who joined in the last day, and provide a series of educational tips to introduce them to your community.  Help them introduce themselves in an Introduction Board; help them write their first post; help them fill out their profile.   Inactive Members - Filter for members who last visited over 90 days ago and send them a custom notification to bring them back!   Member Engagement - You can mix-and-match criteria for membergroups, member last posted, member last visited, and member joined to target any kind of member that you want. Community
These are some of our most favorite ideas, but we didn't know how to categorize them so here they are!
Tour - Give a virtual tour of your community, roll out new features, or introduce new upgrades by sending out notifications over time showing off new features or options.  Remember to link to the content item or a tutorial for more information.   Security - With the rise of identity theft, it's more important than ever to inform your users about your website's security precautions.  You can use Custom Notifications to highlight important security features like asking users to input their password when accessing secure areas like the Client Area, privacy over items like birthdays or emails, the new 2 Factor Authentication with Google Authenticator, changes to your Terms of Service, etc.   Holidays or Important Days - Auto-celebrate the holidays (and leave time to actually party!) by creating a series of holiday wishes or important days by creating custom notifications in advance and then enabling the notification when needed. As you can see, there is SO MUCH you can do with Custom Notifications!  It's driven by an extensive list of criteria where you can target everyone, hyper-target a select few, target high-value, or target members to become more engaged.  It's also a system where you can build multiple campaigns of multiple notifications, enabling you to create elaborate series of notifications that are entirely automated.  And finally, it's so easy.  This app includes everything with simple and clear options for you to get started in minutes.  We wish we could notify everyone on how fun and amazing this app can be so you can be the next InvisionPOWER Admin!

Is there an option to display collaboration groups in a category similar to clubs?
I like the grid display view (realized in clubs) and it would be of advantage to already show "collaboration groups/club header/cover images" in the overview, as well as important members (admins, mods, contributors with highest amount of contents)
    Requested:

Custom Notifications is one of the simplest and easiest applications in our portfolio, yet it's also one of the most powerful.  You can use this in incredible ways, limited only by your imagination (no unicorns though!).  We want to show you how to write custom notifications, two advanced ways to build a system, and give you ideas in when to use it.
As a brief introduction, Custom Notifications allows you to write your own custom notifications based upon certain criteria.  That's it.  It's so easy that you can write your first notification in 30 seconds!  But did you know you can define a cascading series of notifications backed by an elaborate system of criteria, which allows you to penetrate and hyper-target certain kinds of users?  That's where the simplicity of overlapping notifications can be leveraged into an incredible system by using two key features:
Multiple notifications -- Write the notifications in advance, so they're entirely automated.   Multiple criteria - Base your criteria upon successive criteria, so you create a series of notifications.   You can set up an automated system of notifications that trigger when certain criteria is met, which can create a never-ending system of engaging your userbase.  Become an "InvisionPOWER admin" in no time!  (yes, yes we did come up with that pun, and yes we're totally trademarking that idea  ).
We have 3 tutorials in this series, so follow this topic to read each tutorial when they're published.

Is there anyway to create a better award stream content block than the small "Top Awarded" block?

So something that's a list of the last X awards awarded that says per line, "User W was awarded award X on Y date for Z action(s)."

to be frank, this sounds like something is restarting the babble app in nodejs on the server. most of the recent versions since 2.4.0 have all been to address problems you have reported, the original "problem" that you ran into with 2.4.0 was a change that was made to fix a "ghosting" issue. before the online list was stored on both the user side and in babble.js, but storing it on the user side and then just "updating" it only on the client side when new user joined and removing "dead" ones, was causing the ghosting. so now the list is stored and updated only in the babble.js, then sent to the clients each time a new person comes in or logs off. connected clients also periodically send a "heart beat" to babble.js to let it know that the user is still connected, this will also cause to send out new list every once in awhile too.
today i installed 5 browsers onto my two laptops, desktop and the kids desktop and grabbed every available tablet in my house (which there are 7) and logged into each with a different user. so i had 27 people logged in. i let them set for about  3 1/2 to 4 hours, i would  let them go idle and every 10 or 20 minutes i would go around to all them clicking the idle message to return to the chat. some i even setup to refresh the page every 5 or 10 minutes, to duplicate exiting and entering. so i spent a great deal of time today attempting to duplicate any possible issue, across a myriad of devices and OS's (my two laptops run ubuntu linux, my desktop and the kids computer were windows 10 and 5 of the tablets are fireOS, 1 is android 7.1.1 and the last is iOS 10.3.3).
I will send out a mass email from my site here in a bit, to ask any one with a self hosted package that purchased there to let me know if they are having any issues with the online list with these latest updates. i also ask any who have purchase here, to either post here or send me PM to let me know if you are having any issues with the online list, cause right now i'm dead in the water with what could be happening as i am a 100% certain i can not reproduce this.

i've thought about making something for forums like adding in community moderation (like setting a threshold when a post is rated down, and its positive to negative ratio hits the threshold it's content gets "hidden" like a spoiler and flagged for moderators to look at to see if it needs removed). i've also thought about doing a catgory-less forums, have everything tag driven, and add in hashtags like twitter has, that can be searched for and what not, but it appeared IPS was going to be adding them in, but that doesn't appear to have happened yet. i've also thought about making a "chan" style addition to forums, where anonymity is the name of the game, and its made mostly for sharing images. i also like the threaded nature of say reddit and tumblr, thought about adding those into forums as well.
i've never really used gallery, I've always been fond of pinterest, but not sure how many others have been. blogs imho is a lost cause, its not a very interesting app to begin with. commerce i would be open to making changes to it, the one thing i've been wanting for a long time is front end submissions, paid submissions, and even actual digital downloads, as i use it on my site, and each of my downloads get linked to a product. it be nice to offer it directly in commerce instead of having downloads.
i've thought about generalizing questions and answers after i rework it (right now it works, but its kinda plain and has a few bugs in it), and the tab ordering, and the amazon style review additions i did in downloads plus and bring those features to the other apps that use them. as long as they use the node/item/comment/review class's, i could introduce those features to 'em.
if you have any suggestions for other "plus" apps, i am always considering new apps.

Some additional ideas for "Commerce Plus":
    - Ability to use virtual currencies. Right now commerce is tied only with real life currencies, which is an inconvenience for everyone that use one of the Point systems and want to be able to use Commerce for users to pay with points.
    - Splitting of payment methods per currency choice. Paypal can be good for one currency but very bad for another.
    - Ability to buy digital products (like upgrade subscriptions) for someone else - similar to reddit gold
    - Ability to pay what you want for a digital product
    - Personal store for the users - I know that classfields app does something similar.
I am sure there are plenty more, you can just take ideas from the Feedback forum here. In general Commerce is an app that looks like it was created only for the internal uses of IPS, added a few bells and whistles and released for everyone. But it is still miles away from the real e-commerce systems.

    Hi,
I have yet to upgrade to 4.2x, but I have a few suggestions.
    1. If it's not available, can you please re-implement giving awards to multiple members at a time? The last time I checked, that feature was removed because it interfered with something.
    2. Last I checked, there's sorting by date, category, and title, while ascending and descending order. Can we please give members more control, by allowing them to sort by clicking and dragging awards or by an up/down arrow button? Or in a way that gives them more control? Please consider.
    3. Pagination: If there are many awards the page can get very long and messy. Can we have a setting to choose the amount of awards to display per page?
*I'm willing to help fund these features I request.

I'm very interested in any ADVANCED POINTS application in the IPS marketplace! But all available solutions here appear as they don't get beyond the initial stages.
This was said already by end of 2015. So is there a chance of a more or less rapid further development?
    I wouldn't mind paying a higher price! $$$
I think an ADVANCED POINTS app should be somehow bound to
    CORE / FORUMS COMMERCE app
-> as a solid POINTS PAYMENT GATEWAY
-> as POINTS showing everywhere as a valid virtual currency (in addition to USD/EUR as a multicurrency setting)
-> Products can only be purchased by points, if point price is filled in. If both currency prices are filled in the customer can choose, if only real world currency is filled in customers must purchase with real bucks DOWNLOADS app
-> POINTS should be shown in addition to USD/EUR in blocks / widgets / slider ...
-> Products can only be purchased by points, if point price is filled in + (see above like in commerce)
-> points system must be suited for site commission/referrals/affiliates AWARDS app (currently: iAwards)
-> POINTS should be triggered if an award is received or taken away again, depending on the worthyness of the award (custom config per award) AUTOMATION RULES app (currently: automation rules)
-> there are lots more situations and maybe it makes sense to create some ECA (events/conditions/actions) as @Kevin Carwile describes his API for other developers
-> maximum flexibility And here is my (new) list:
    POSITIVE POINTS EVENTS:
Registration of a member is complete (once per unique Email address / member name)
-> this is a direct welcome bonus and introduces the points system to new members Daily Login (once a day): I try to force my members to login daily and award them therefore
-> if the member opts in for bulk mail he should get an extra minor daily bonus (email marketing!) OR he will only get the daily login bonus if he opted in for bulk emails.
-> if the member has a completed profile he should get an extra minor daily bonus (personalization) Topic/posts creations (once for author): topic author receives major points, post authors that respond in topic receive less points + thank you points for topic author for each post in topic by others, long texts (minimum chars) will be extra awarded, also texts with high reputation (f.e. if a post receives XX likes, then... extra points)
-> it should work the same way for blogs Free downloads / paid downloads creations: free gets XX points, paid DLs XXX points, if DL is downloaded XXX times then extra X points, or if purchased more than X times XX points Positive reactions (reputation): each reaction should trigger points for the receiver as well as the reaction giver in dependance of a unique reaction. Points values for different reactions differ (f.e. like = 10, thanks = 5, confused = 0, sad = -1)! The idea is to engage all members to take more part in using reactions, while others will be triggered by this behavior! Review creations: f.e. the more stars rating a reviewer will give, the more points he will get, extra points if other users find the review useful Gallery album creations: bonus for massive photo uploads (but if deleted again, then double minus points!) Purchasing memberships: give points for regular and VIP memberships and renewals (according to the price level) Special member group promotions: if members are promoted, they will get an extra point credit Leaderboard daily winner: different points for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place iAward is received: depending what category and the worthiness, points should be given, awards are a very high reputation sign, hence they should be awarded with points, too! By the way, iAwards can also be triggered with "Automation Rules" ECAs NEGATIVE / NO POINTS EVENTS:
If receiving/giving negative reactions: take away points from both negative reaction receiver as well as the negative reaction giver -> this way a negative reaction will become "expensive" and only used if worth the event! receiving a moderation warning: in dependance to the severity reduction for inactive behavior: each month, reduce points by XX or XX% account banned: user looses all points (deactivation) manual reduction: admins/mods are allowed to take away points as a special warning mechanism!
-> Or admins/mods can suspend members from "daily points" OR "ALL points" temporarily Only problem: If (additional) points are purchased with real world money, there should be a setting that a member can't loose the purchased points (=drop below his investment) except for spending them in exchange for products like memberships and downloads!
    POINTS MULTIPLICATORS:
If user is in VIP group XX then multiplicate points values with f.e. 1.2 (=20% bonus) If user is in MOD group YY then .... f.e. 0.8 (=-20% as they will naturally get more likes for bureaucracy instead of content production) Points award for very high reputation: give 0.1 extra bonus (f.e. 1000 rep and up) SPECIAL POINTS OPTIONS:
Received points must be confirmed daily or weekly or monthly
-> this way, users will only get their points finally, if they take part in the community regularily
-> timeframe maybe dependant on member group Comeback users after time x should be awarded, if they click a special link!
-> so we can create bulk emails to attract inactive members to come back and engage again Banned members can't earn points (also during times if banned temporarily) Daily limit: limit the maximum points a member can receive daily! Tipping: Options to transfer points to other members as a thank you mechanism: if in group XX, can transfer daily X points max, if in VIP group YY, daily max is YYY points I have 1000+ ideas but these ones should be the essential ones for the start
If all the requests are too heavy to be hardcoded at once, there might be a chance to realize them with Automation Rules ECAs? I would accept this solution, too!
I don't need banks, no trades, I want to lift up the members engagement, sell points for real money and generate income (downloads/memberships products) by exchange!
    This is the requested "voice"
    Thank you!

Here are my impassioned pleas to IPS concerning the interface deployment for additional features like virtual "point currencies" and "reactions" to be used with automations rules and points economy.
It would be great if you would support these topics, that IPS can see our urgent needs for these possibilities.
I hope to gather a fanbase for these ideas, so automation rules and points economy can become much more mighty.
For now, I see that if no reactions can be used, all my gamification ideas come to the end. It's an essential requirement. Same for the showup of points currencies in IP.Commerce, IP.Downloads and other third party applications.

I think the leaderboard is a fantastic addition to PS, used in the right way it would promote fun engagements.
I have some further ideas which I feel would make it better.
Notify members that they have lead (Daily/Monthly) One thing is within many communities I am sure most are unaware of the feature, to promote the fun engagement and to encourage activity it would be nice to see members being told automatically.
I'd like to see team members and members separated, create more friendly competition but IMO, team members within sites are always likely to lead. Just look at IPS, it's mostly staff members or popular developers, this cuts so many people who make great efforts. Within my own community, it's usually always me or one of my team members and I think it would be nice to split it up. I have some other suggestions, however these are the main areas. I'd love to see other clients make suggestions!

    Thank you!
