Not needed to see how it will look on a mobile device.  Make your browser window as narrow as you can on your computer.

Dropped it 10 years ago. It was crap then, and it’s still crap now. Caused nothing but problems. It’s old, out dated, we’ve all moved on. We have a modern and fully responsive layouts now. Absolutely no need for it.

Avoid it no matter how much your members cry about it. I found it very intrusive and buggy.

If you're already using the Invision app, there's no need for Tapatalk.  Don't cater to members who look at necessary change as a bad thing; Those are not the people you want representing your community and you should do what's best overall.  You either adapt to change or get left behind.  They do not bring growth to your site.
Our board used it for barely a few weeks and then promptly removed it after numerous reoccurring issues, one of them being that it would not honor group permissions consistently and members could access content they were not meant to see, including staff-only content. We were told it was a temporary issue and would be fixed, but then it happened again after the "fix", so we said adios and just dealt with not having an app.
We still deal with not having an app because the Invision app does not work for non-forum communities, but we manage.

You may want to open a support ticket on that, as it could be an issue. We had a problem with the download of the update yesterday, but they were able to fix it about a half hour after I opened the ticket. Hope you get it to work!

You're so welcome! Glad to help after receiving so much help here myself.
Am posting these instructions, just in case someone else ends up with this problem.
    If you go into AdminCP/Community/Forums/Forums . . .
Find the forum board where this member posted, and click the small Edit/Pencil icon at the right. Click the "Posting Settings" tab. Under the "Posts" settings, be sure that the "Increase content counts" button is toggled to the on position.

You're welcome. We have a board set up like this as well, but it's easy to forget about the setting!
You can always go in through the AdminCP to manually increase the post count on that user's account, if that helps.

    It's a moderator permission

We have had this happen in the past--accidental flagging of a long term member with tens of thousands of content items.
This is an excellent suggestion. I believe we made a modification to do just this.

The issue I have with delete content for spammers is there are no explicit safeguards to prevent this option for members of other groups from being banned.
Not that I fear it would happen out of malice or intent but rather by accident or curiosity what happened if a moderator flagged someone as spammer who is a long time member?!
I would prefer that this option be only allow to work on  specific groups (newbies) not blankly across all groups -
It seems highly unlikely that a long term member would randomly start spamming a site, this to me indicates their account were compromised and other mitigation should be taken. Such as putting said account in timeout wiping out credentials and putting the last X number of posts in to a queue for review.

Yes, this is one of its primary purposes. The data sent to IPS is used by other communities that have enabled the spam prevention service and have elected to use the return scores to address new account registrations.

Flagging as a spammer does do this if the 'delete' content option is selected.

usmf got a reaction from kmk in Possible to permanently toggle forum categories?
Is it possible to set our entire forum to show all category boards in the toggled mode? Currently, they look like this:

Each user can click the toggle close arrow on the right and make the category appear this way:

I'd like the forum front page to keep all categories permanently toggled, showing a description for each category. To access the sub-boards, I'd like members to have to click into the category to see only the sub-boards in there. Is that possible? Thanks!

Agreed. We have never had so many forum issues as we're having since this upgrade to 4.6. And way too many continual patches and upgrades for issues that should never have been released. It's very disappointing and taking our volunteer Admins a lot of time wasted trying to fix things. Hoping the new update goes well, but have to wait for multiple Tech Admins to be available to do it.

Edit it in Profile fields and change the group to profile information. That's what I did anyway.
