Ramsesx got a reaction from Adriano Faria in Ignore Topics
Adriano, ignore forums would be a very cool add-on, in combination with this plugin or as a new one.

Of course. The restrictions takes place if the group and forum is selected. If you move the user to another group or removes the forum/group in settings, all topics will appear. I mean, even if the user has ignored topics recorded in the table, they will appear if he is in groups or forums selected. That's how it is supposed to work.
EDIT: btw, I forgot to check the group in the forum view setting. Just reuploaded the file. Update your install.

You can also search for ignoreTopics_ and it_ignore_. I'll try to add some pattern in next version.

Ramsesx reacted to LiquidFractal in Guest View Limit on Databases Records
@Adriano Faria thanks for another great application! 🙂
I could actually see this being used on a broader scale, not just for guests. Have you thought about tailoring it to different user groups? For example, guests get only X views of articles per day, but it would be great for some sites to allow, say, the Member group X views of VIP article database Y before being asked to upgrade their account to VIP, Donor, etc. etc.
This has a lot of potential I think. Thanks again!

It's not that easy. With the two files you can't do anything.

Ramsesx reacted to Pete T in Who Was Online
Short answer to version number was two different files but I now making one widget Vs two as now have time on my hand get this widget right.
So looks so far many like the 24 hour to show this displays members been online in that period Vs having mins cutting off 60mins.

Ramsesx got a reaction from Pete T in Who Was Online
24 hours is my favorite, and I wouldn't like to have it say, users online last 1140 minutes. But b.t.w. I'm happy with the version 1.0.3, only the numbering is a bit confusing. Thanks for your work.

Attempt to upgrade from 1.0.3 to 1.0.5 destroyed my style completely.
After running the support tool it luckily was restored.

How do I edit this to make it smaller on mobile, the element has no name in firefox css editor ?
I now figured it out.
Here is CSS code for small tab for mobile screen. Add it to custom CSS file in admin back end.
@media screen and (max-width:767px) { .ipsBadge.ipsBadge_large { height: 17px !important; line-height: 16px !important; font-size: 11px !important; padding-top: 0px !important; padding-bottom: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 4px !important; margin-top: 2px !important; } }

Ramsesx reacted to opentype in Pages SuperGrid support
Yes, I am seeing what you are seeing and what I talk about is the text column. The number of characters per line is perfect the way it is. Making the text column wider makes it harder to read. Reading isn’t about “not wasting space”. That’s why books have whitespace since 500 years.

Ramsesx reacted to Aiwa in Mobile App, Progressive Web App (PWA) For IPB
@TheWorldNewsMedia.org I'm not interested in this topic, or any debate. Aiming your misguided tone toward me, however, is sorely misplaced. I don't drink the kool aid, and you assuming I do based on a contributor tag is short sighted and, frankly, insulting.
I made it clear IPS could do better with mobile in my comment. They also haven't ignored it. They may not yet have an answer for the feature set your looking for, but they haven't ignored it. The point of my comment, quit with the whining about mobile and do what you need for your community first.
IPS has stated they aren't ignoring mobile, yet for some reason people like yourself keep belaboring on a topic focused on a specific mobile approach, PWA.
Instead, would it not be more constructive to focus on the feature set you're looking for? Mobile, that's a broad topic... What about mobile are you wanting solved? Leave out the HOW, and focus on the specific WHAT you need solved.

Ramsesx reacted to opentype in Instagram embedding doesn't work here and on my site
Pretty sure this is working as intended, but the error message is maybe a bit misleading. It detects that it is an Instagram link, but since there is no specific post, it won’t do anything with it.

Ramsesx reacted to opentype in Pages SuperReviews (Support Topic)
It depends on the specific field type. You can have SuperReview galleries and SuperReview quotes there for example (styled through SuperReviews) or your own custom fields like badges you might have added. The pro/contra fields are suppressed automatically in the listings views if I remember correctly, since they wouldn’t work there very well.
But basically you can just try and see what works in the listing views. Same as with the “Above the content / Below the content” setting for the display view. Just play around with it, until it looks good.
