Welcome, I've got performance issues on main page of my site after turning on SSL (everything done exactly like in Invison guide). There wasn't problem like that before turning HTTPS. I'm using Cloudflare pro plan. On main page there is 6-7 seconds lag. Tested on two different PC in different locations. Tested on incognito mode also - same issue on main page. Hey there, I have big thoruble with my currency and ipb4 on windows server, I don't know If I have the right php.ini settings. can someone help me? This would be great. Date and Time will work but the currency don't work. At the shop I only see a sign with "?" when I setup it to EUR and under languages to : de-de / German_Germany.1252 / deu Dan

I hope that I can get some advice from more knowledgeable admins regarding my software upgrading plan. I'm getting the following messages from my Admin CP: My VPS is running Debian 8.11... As far as I know, it doesn't offer any native way to upgrade both MySQL and php. My plan is the following, just in order to simplify things as much as possible: 1. Install Maria DB and use it instead of MySQL, because that's what Debian 9 supports natively. 2. Upgrade to Debian 9 altogether, since it also supports php-7. 3. Install php-7. I'm not sure though what exactly will have to be changed …

Hi Guys I am trying to install IPB 4 using runcloud.io it comes with MariaDB 1:10.2.16+maria~bionic and no support for mysql . I am just wondering what will be cons of using MariaDB over Mysql ? Becuase i guess IPB team is alos using mysql instead of MariaDB ? will IPB 4.3.4 works fine with MariaDB 10.2.16 ? or i will facing issues with IPB 4.3.4 and its plugins with mariaDB Anybody switch database from mysql to MariaDB what kind of pro and cons he/she faced please share your experience. Hi Server slowing to a crawl (happens a lot) ; trying to trace down source of high CPU usage. problem looks mysql process related. When I trace the process I see a loop happening over and over with the same error. ran query to show processlist and I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Any idea how to track down what is eating up my CPU? Have used cloudflare for quite a while now. Has noticed that I get bad results on pagespeed now the last time. Tried and paused clodflare. Got 2-3 times better results with regard to the loading of the page. Is there anyone who has problems with cloudflare?

Hi guys, I'm using Cloudflare on our IPS community and I think it's impacting the view counts of articles and topics due to caching. If I understand correctly, it loads the page from our server then sends it out to multiple people. However, because it only loads it once and then sends it to multiple people, the view count only goes up by one for the article or topic. Is this correct? If so, is there any way to remedy it? Or perhaps remove view-counts altogether? Thanks!

I switched my site to SSL and everything is working fine with the exception of emoticons in existing posts. They emoticons images load from the http:// and not from the https:// When using emoticons with new posts the SSL version is being used, but how to fix the path in the old posts?

Hi all, My IPS community (current version: 4.3.4) keeps complaining about my MySQL version. My server runs cPanel and I have the latest available MariaDB installed (10.2) This is the warning I get: MySQL Version Recommendation You are running MySQL version 5.5.5-10.2.16-MariaDB. While this version is compatible, future releases of our software will require version 5.6.2 or above. Should I do something fix this (or should Invision write a patch to recognise MariaDB better)? MySQL itself won't be updated, as I don't use it anymore, MariaDB will.

Hello, Very recently I've noticed my site being massively crawled by a few select IPs. Mine is an academic/educational/research site so I know it 'aint gonna be YouTube popular, but when my online activity jumps to 300+ and 5+ pages of instances I know something's up! In my CPanel error log some of these IPs are hitting my site 2-3 times per second and trying all sorts of different ports. My site is very secure so I'm not worried about hacking, but I'm wondering if all these hits could cause performance issues. Just wondering how people here deal with this sort of thing?
