Hello everyone! I need help. I will try to integration my forum with cpx-research.com, but i need to get the user_id to work fine and i know who finished the survive. Does IPB collect statistical data and analyze it in terms of user engagement? It would be very powerful if they could survey data from all participating communities and come out with reports like "we found that user engagement increases X% when this change is made".

Hello, I was wondering if there was any simple way to place times within content (page content blocks, announcements, posts, etc.) that would use the user's time instead of a hard typed time. Essentially instead of me having to place "5pm EST", I could just use a tag or something to place 5PM and it will factor in the user's defined timezone or simply use the forum default time for guests and display the correct time? I mostly need this for the Pages app, so a coded solution is fine, but I am very curious if there is any sort of built in feature that I am missing. My site gets tons of w3 HTML validation errors for the social mailto sharing link. I noticed that this forum does not use the same type of social sharing links as the default ones in the current version of IPS. Does anyone know how to fix these errors?

Hi All, After upgrading from MariaDB 10.0 to 10.3 I suddently get errors when new members register. The following error message is dispalyed: Now, what happens behind the scenes is that every new registration is recorded in triplicate, IOW, 3 new registrations for each registration attempt, so the error message is very likely caused by the system trying to register the same info three times, with keys staying the same, and hence causing this error. Any idea how I could solve this? Is this maybe a setting in my.cnf, and if so what? I tried playing around with the settings, but cannot solve it somehow. Thank you very much in advance for…

We have a lot of spam accounts that are registered on our site and fill in the "About Me" section of their profiles with spam links. I currently have this section completely disabled to prevent it from hurting our site ranking. Is there a way to prevent the guest group from viewing member profile fields, so search engines don't pick up the spam links?

We have upgraded last night to 4.5 from 4.4. The big issue we have (default theme) is that there is no more possible to get into primary nav items, only secondary items are displayed. Example how it was on 4.4: On the 4.5 we miss this primary item point: The users ask how they can reach the primary menu item on mobile. No more possible?

I have this kind of setup in place (Invision Community v4.5.4.2): I found that the table 'ibf_core_output_cache' gets quite large when traffic is heavy (record was 51GB). Is that normal with my current settings? Shouldn't cache be handled by Redis db instead of MySQL? Redis data files usually get around 30-50MB.

Am I missing something? I'm trying to set up an easy way to allow for images that are inserted into a post to be arranged in a gallery sort-of-thing. I've came across this plugin: but it looks cumbersome and only allows uploading from a URL - so it forces you to go to another website, upload your photos there, get back to the post, and enter the url you've generated. The other way is by using the IC albums app, which - again - forces you to go out of the post editor and do everything there. I'm sure there's something I'm missing. I wanted to offload downloads to S3, so I moved my Downloads, Screenshots and Attach folders to my S3 bucket. I have them all in their individual directories in the S3 bucket like they were on my hosted server. In Storage Settings > Configure; I setup each directory as a separate entry as they are with the IPS install. I am not able to see which directory they are for the S3 so it's difficult to ensure that I'm setting the right directory for the section in Storage Settings. Is this something that's not needed for S3? Do I just need to move all the files from Attach, Downloads and Screenshots too the root of the S3 bucket? As I have it now; screenshots are not app…

Since updating to 4.4.1, myself and my co-admin are unable to post or send private messages on our board. The text area will not load, and it does not allow us to type anything. I attempted to disable attachments, which I would hope would disable this, however, it has not. This did not happen until an update to 4.4.1. Even 4.4.0 did not have this error. Is there a way to fix this? See image below for example!

Hello everyone, What is the easiest way to be able to create signup forms for various things in our community. Is the CMS (Pages app) the way to go? I understand that it can be used in a multitude of ways but I am hoping someone here might be able to give me more specifics before I decide to foot the license cost. Currently we use Google Forms and Spreadsheets to track what we need, but it is cumbersome for our users and our staff to maintain. For those of you who are trying to use Mailgun for SMTP with IPB...I hope this helps. I had been using Mailgun successfully for several years on my domain. After installing IPB in a subfolder in the domain, I configured the SMTP settings to use the MailGun server (TLS & Port 587). Created a new SMTP credential on MailGun via their dashboard. Copied the password for the new credential to the clipboard and put both in my IPB setup screen. All to no avail. Kept getting 535 authentication errors thrown back at me. Hi, I have an old community here, grounded about 20 years ago. There are over 250 000 registered users over the time. The nature of the community is that the users are only active for some years and leave then. My issue now is that over the half of email addresses (estimated) are not valid anymore. I would like to "purge" the database setting users with invalid emails on validating to prevent sending emails to them. Hello everyone, Is there a plugin that will let us control abandoned carts? This is something very important that IPS does not have as a built-in functionality. I found a plugin called E-CommercePlus that does what I need but sadly, Spanner, its developer passed away recently 😞 Rest in peace! The plugin recovrs abandoned carts and recaptures lost business with a set of automated emailed that prompt clients to pay for outstanding product.
