As it makes no sense to start using the “Support” app built into Invision Community Suite as it will be deprecated soon, I went ahead and disabled the app. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fully disable the app after all as you can see below. If you disable “Support”: “Support” related tasks continue to get run daily: supportAssignedReminder Sends a reminder email to staff members who have open support requests assigned to them. supportAutoresolve Marks old support requests as resolved. “Support” still shows up in the Menu Manager:

When a picture is uploaded or custom emoji is used we get the following error. I guess there's folder permissions incorrect somewhere but I dont know where. Any suggestions? Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hello, Self hosted. Normally I would keep our website relatively up to date but in this case we got stuck at 4.6.12.1 because one of our other critical bits of software (FileRun) did not support PHP8/PHP8.1. I would like to be able to upgrade Invision and FileRun separately so that I don't end up with failed upgrades in both components at the same time. I am now in the situation where: My current Invision (4.6.12.1) does not work on PHP8.1 (I tried it and the Calendar died) The latest Invision (4.7.11.1) does not work on PHP7.4 (running on my system) My current FileRun does not work on PHP8.1 The latest FileRun does not work on PHP7.…

I just had a new member sign up and his/her registration IP address is showing a private address. I queried all my members to see if this has happened previously and I see nobody with this issue. Any idea how a private IP can be shown as the registration IP?

Hi. I am currently in the process of trying to migrate a legacy version of IP.Board v3.3.4 to 4.x. I have followed the instructions and managed to create a test installation on localhost and am serving it over an nginx webserver on PHP 8.1. The problem I am having is that the database I am migrating from seems not to work with the new IP 4 software. I have a MySQL instance running on a box with the previous database there. When I go through the installation process it even detects it as an existing IP Boards database. However on completing the setup, I find that in the database the application has just created a load of new empty tables and the legacy …

I have observed the following behavior for several months on two different servers with multiple installs. One running cPanel and the other running Plesk. I install the Invision Community Suite and set up a cron job running once a minute. This starts the process of each task getting run at different time intervals. I then go ahead and install various marketplace apps that create tasks that are supposed to run at certain timeframes in order for them to work "as expected". I don't know if this is the appropriate place to put this, or even something I can be helped with... but since last night, every time I go to my community, I'm given "This site can’t be reached" and they talk about proxy and firewalls, etc, of which I have zero. The site loaded around 8:45pm last night, and was off and on until 9:30pm when it went completely offline to me, and cannot reconnect. It works on mobile but not MY desktop. I've cleared my cache and browser history (big mistake as I don't remember passwords, haha). And I've done everything I can to get it up. What can/should I do? I’m really not ready to upgrade to current version yet, but security is important. I have two questions for you guys 🙏 1. Will the upgrade preserve our current forum template without risk of need to redo the edits (for example ad units and plugins that generates display blocks). 2. Is is a lengthy upgrade? Does the upgrade need to go through all topics (millions of topics), or not?

Is anyone else having issues with event times not being entered? By that I mean that when I create an event and put in either a start and/or end time, it takes me three or four saves before they 'stick'. They keep reverting to 12:00 AM. Usually I have to create it with the start time only, then save, then do it again, then I do the end time, then save, then I have to do it again, and sometimes once more. So I'm basically having to save up to five times before the start/end times are finally saved. Thoughts? Thx.

Recently had to reinstall IPB due to a corrupted container. Uploaded a clean install, updated conf_global, and logged into ACP. Everything seemed to be working until I ran the update that was waiting. After the update I am getting the "Template core/front/global/announcementTop is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme." error. The same error is preventing access to the ACP so I went ahead and set recovery mode via the constants file. Still have the same issue. Before I start ripping into this, is there a common cause/fix? On my achievement rules page I am getting this error: [[Template core/admin/achievements/rulesListRows is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Since the latest patch I have problems with setting cookies, it's a disaster! e.g. I have a Dark/Light Mode Switcher which saves the setting as a cookie in the browser. Doesn't work anymore with the latest update, as well as pretty much all non-standard cookies that don't come from IPS. Is there any way to change this?

I just installed a fresh new Invision. I forgot to set up SSL and https:// So I did it. But know when I tried to go to the admin, the login form is stuck with an http:// link on submit form. I have to inspect, add an "s" after http to send my credentials normaly. How can I change this link ?

I'd like to configure and test plugins on my authorized test url before putting them on the live server. I get this error when I try to connect to the Marketplace in the dashboard: "There was an error authenticating with the Marketplace. Please try again later or contact technical support for assistance." I've confirmed this is because I've password protected the site.
