Hello, I have got this error in the support center. "InnoDB database tables typically perform more efficiently and reliably than other database engines such as MyISAM on most modern hosts when configured correctly. It is strongly encouraged to ensure all of your database tables are using the InnoDB storage engine and that your hosting provider has configured MySQL for InnoDB use. " I have indeed seen In the ACP SQL Toolbox that I have several MyISAM engines running for some tables, What is the safest what to the migration? Can I do it easily via the ACP or involve our system guy?

Hello, I just update to Version 4.7.14 -beta Now, when we edit an article of a database (Pages), the updating time erase the created date. All the content edit get a new "created date", with the time of now.

Hello, My website was hacked at the weekend. My hosting company flagged it after the event and flagged some suspicious files. I got these cleaned up and removed. The hosting company did a fresh scan this morning and sent me the following. I have a large forum, are these files normal? Is there a way of installing a fresh version of Invision to ensure all files are clean going forward? Thanks for any help. We only have a very basic scan that searches for some common spammy strings\code that we've seen commonly used on sites. I ran it now and it flagged a lot of suspiciously named files still on the site. Are they by your developer? …

We've got some weird stuff going on with notifications -- noticeably on a particular thread: https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1900-military-lighters-all-eras-all-brands/page/38/ Member has been following the above thread and always received email notifications for new replies within the thread. It changed over the past month or so. Been getting emails that give indication that someone has liked or responded to their post, but if somebody posts something new he doesn't get anything. Had problem in my modcp after add some warn points that provide to ban user. The warn points are added correctly but all my moderators get same error. On warnHovercard is the same. Hello, I received an application tar file from a developer. When attempting to use the manual upload function with the tar file, I can select the tar file and click the Install Button. This loads for a couple of minutes, then my server returns a 504 Gateway Timeout Error. Installing applications directly from the marketplace seems to work as expected (or did while the Marketplace was open), but the manual upload fails. I'm not sure if this is because the actual upload fails or some other issue. No errors are reported by either my site host nor in the logs in the ACP. Any ideas what may be contributing to this issue?

If an (guest-)user comes to an URL and then clicks the cookies bar he always is redirected to the start page. This is annoying because many users come from Google to forum threads, for example, and are thus redirected away from there. Latest Patch is installed, redis Cache is enabled, 'guestTermsBar' template isn't modified.

Hello everyone I hope this message meets you well. I am having trouble setting up Cloudflare to work perfectly with my website - whenever I force captcha on my website everyone seems to get in an infinite loop of "Checking if the site connection is secure". The only way to bypass this is by going incognito mode or clearing all site data through inspect element. We are having an issue with rekapthka and were told the problem is with the Date/time on the server , however the date and time on the server is correct and verified with pleask setting as well as the logs showing the correct time. In our invision forums application we are getting an alert that the server is reporting the time incorrectly. See the screenshots of the Server time showing the correct time backed by the time stamp in the logs. I also included a screen shot of the invision forum showing a time stamp that is 7 hours different that what the server is showing. My server setup doesn't allow FTP, so I have to manually download the new version of the software. The doc says "upload the file", but it doesn't say where to upload it. I have tried putting it in the root directory of the website- but it says "there are no applications to upgrade". Exactly what is it looking for when it makes this test? I have put "Invision Community.zip" in the root directory, and also tried unzipping the file, resulting in a folder ips_05470. Question 1: After downloading the update file, where should I put it? Question 2: What does the webroot look like when it has an update ready to execute?

Getting this error any thoughts on solutions? There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. I am trying to convert a vbulletin 3.8.x forum to the latest Invision board. When I go through the steps to configure the converter I am getting stuck on the final step. There are two fields that keep giving me an error... Path to emoticons and Path to Avatar Gallery Files. What am I supposed to be entering in there? Is this supposed to be a local directory or the directory path from the vbulletin site? Everything I've entered in there has given me an error saying "The path appears to be invalid."

Hello, When I disable Redis and download constants.php the file contain. \define( 'REDIS_ENABLED', true ); \define( 'STORE_METHOD', 'FileSystem' ); When I enable Redis the file contain. \define( 'REDIS_ENABLED', false ); \define( 'STORE_METHOD', 'Redis' ); Why is 'REDIS_ENABLED" set to false? I think my cache is not working properly, my site was fast (250ms response time) but after I edited a widget the site started to be slower. (500ms, no load on the server) I cleared the cache but no improvement. Thanks.

Hi there, I'm having issues upgrading to the latest version of Invision Power. Here is what I see: Step 1. Step 2. If I try the Fix Automatically option it times out. (500 error on server) Step 3. I ran all these SQL commands via phpMyAdmin manually last night. (sequentially) However I'm still running into the same problem and cannot get past this prompt. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Recent issue is that we have remote servers initiating 10+ logins a second on a continuous basis.. This eventually corrupts the sessions portion of the database, and causes the forum to go down. I looked but don't see a way, to limit / block these in the config... Is there some way this can be configured, or added as a security fix? i.e. more than 1 login a second from any given IP, would get blocked by the IPS software / more than 100 per 30min timespan - ideally logged as an offending IP somewhere for reference. I have tried the IPB Support theme with all 3rd party and customizations disabled. I changed .htaccess back to bare items generated by AdminCP. When I try and edit a block, this is all that I am able to see and modify. There is no text block showing.
