So, this feature is one of the main reasons we chose to move our community to IPS, and thus far guests' ability to post without having to be dragged through registration forms has had a huge impact on registrations (they basically doubled). but after reading a bit more into the feature, I think it isn't working as it should. In the article "unveiling" the feature and also in the guide it says it will only allow users to WRITE the post and then pretty much force them to register with a pop-up/redirect, otherwise the post won't, well, post. We have the community installed on our site and the Wordpress SSO set up to connect to the wordpress registration but the community page is openly visible to all. We want the page itself to require then to login to view anything on that page. How is that accomplished? I'm not finding it in settings or on any other threads in the forums here.

So whenever we try to upload an image to our forums in a topic, we seem to get an error (i'll post an image below). I have checked if any plugins/applications need to be updated but none are available. Any ideas where I can start searching for the problem to resolve it? Thank you.

So today I updated my forum from 4.4.1 to 4.4.10 Before my notification were fine only showing Disputed Transactions, now I have 3k notification on my Admin panel because of pending payments, people create invoices and never pay How can I fix this to have my notifications clean again, take in mind I cant delete everytime someone creates since this forum have 30k active users

Hi there, Just setting up a forum and articles using Pages. However, the 'basic guide' shows that URLs for Pages articles should be sitename.com/articles/articlename. However, all URLs are sitename.com/index.php/articles/articlename. Anyone know what I've done wrong, and how to lose index.php from the URL? Thanks

Hi there, I'm looking to add the 194 countries to a select box field type in profiles (so, the user has to select their home country when registering). Other than manually entering each 194, is there a simple way to do this, by editing / uploading a file? I've tried cutting and pasting the list, but it all goes into a single cell. Thanks v much!

Our email accounts are not monitored for Commerce as we do everything through the support request/ticket system. However, clearing out emails dating back to 2015. I've come across many replies to tickets within the emails which have of course gone unnoticed. So, two things are going through my mind. Was it not a feature that was or could be enabled? So when someone does reply via email, this is automatically added to the ticket? If this is not the case, how can I stop people replying to the email, could a message be added to the email body notifying the user to not reply to the email but login and answer through the support ticket. Hello 🙂 I made my homepage using Pages and the Databases and works everything perfectly but when I set Pages as the default application I can't see the forums anymore. I can read the topics and messages but when I click the voice "Forum" in the menu I am always redirected to the Homepage. My idea was to make the page I created as Homepage and the forum not the index. Is there any other way to do it? Thanks!

From what I experienced so far using the Bulk Mail and Digest feature, the language labels used in delivered mails correspond to the language that is active in the AdminCP. So if English is set as AdminCP language, related labels in mail contents (e.g. Here's the new content from your followed items for the past week.) are also in English, even though the used language in the frontend is another one. To send out mails in the same language as used in the frontend, the AdminCP language has to be switched to that language. Hello, Is there an easy way to send a bulk email message via dashboard only to people that confirmed their presence in a calendar event (RSVP)? I couldn't find it. That'd be a nice feature to have IMHO. To accomplish this I did the following: 1. Created a new member group and copied its ID (14 in my case). 2. Got the attendees directly from the database. I have had a look but needed to ask the hive mind 🙂 First off, if technical ability was measured from 0-10 (10 being good) I put myself at about a 2.5 so please go easy on me. I have some blogs which contain links to external companies. One of those companies wants to pay for a 'follow' link in one of the blogs. They noticed that any link posted in the Blog defaults to a no follow link and of course, would like it to be changed. I had not used the Our Picks feature until only recently, because I thought the content had to be promoted to social media which I don't use that. As soon as I learned that I could promote content to Our Picks on my own forum I got excited, and I've already featured two topics in Our Picks. When I went to promote my third choice it wouldn't post. It said something about the character limit being 3000, and that the topic I was trying to post ~3200 characters. Why is there a character limit for promoted content? Is it a setting I can change in the ACP? If yes, where?

CLUBS When I asked a few people on my forum about the use of CLUBS, one friend stated how he didn't think it should be used. To him it would just be segregating content from the main forum. Why create a club about a certain topic, when a thread could just be created on the forum. Hi there, I have noticed that Activity stream does not refresh "automatically" even though notifications are updated . I remember when I set up my forum 2 years ago it worked fine. Now one has to refresh the Activity stream for updated comments and posts. I run maintenance tasks with traffic and there has never been a backlog of tasks. It's no problem but it is nice to get updated activity with no refresh. Is it because I don't run crons?

hello. i want to create a evet to allow members to create a event with a minimum of 5 minuts betwin events. so, thy cannot create 2 events in the same time. and max of 30 events every hour. is there a way to do it? i have not seen any option to set or limit events to users. only to allow or block adding a events. and i want it to be automatecly, and not with admin approvel. thank you all.

Hi everybody! I am actually running a website with Wordpress as cms in the root and Invision Power Board as forum board. After talk we decided we want to keep everything more integrated and so use just one software. At the moment my license include just the forum app and I'd like to know which app or plugin I need to make an homepage that looks exactly like a portal with news and reviews, with the ability to create custom pages and once into these articles it shouldn't be like getting into a forum post. Hello, I run a community where many of the users are used to getting email updates (think of an old ListServ, or Yahoo Groups). Most love the new community, but I have several asking if there is a way to set the default for following Forums, Discussions, etc. to ALL. They currently have to go in each topic and click "Follow", and if they miss one they don't receive all of the communications they are expecting. Thanks for helping out this old Noob...
