Maybe I am missing something, but it appears that each new blogger creates another entry in the ACP blog area: ACP -> Community -> Blogs -> Blogs I am intending to allow all members (perhaps not very new or low-post count members) to create a blog. But each new blog will create an entry in the ACP. We could easily end up with hundreds or even thousands or blogs and categories. I am not sure how we are supposed to reasonably manage that many entries. Does anyone have suggestions or workarounds, or perhaps reassurance (that I have misunderstood something)? Or maybe there is a helpful application or plugin I have failed to locate? Thanks.

Can someone tell me a bit about about IPS Cloud back up systems? As I understand it, the only way to obtain a copy of the database is to place a request with tech support, and, I think, they will supply a copy within 24 hours. And DB copies are intended for migration purposes / switching to stand alone, so it is not something we would normally request outside of those situations - yes? Does anyone know the frequency of backups? I've been asked by the owner of the website about backup procedures, but I could not find any IPS documentation. Thanks.

HI, I have seen this several times. I want to finally report this. Steps to repeat Customer tries to purchase item from downloads app without first checking the the "terms & Conditions" acceptance box. They get asked to check the box and click the purchase button again (so they do) IPB ACP reports two stripe payments, Stripe portal only reports 1 but second is "uncaptured" Customer see's 2 holds on their credit card and is unaware that one will fall off and see's two charges in IPB orders screen. I am combining three forums into one. But I wonder if there is a away for me to for me to add a forum-specific prefix onto each each thread in each forum before I merge them? The three forums can operate quite well as one, but it would be useful to be able separate out the three types too. And, on a related matter - if the space should become too busy for all three areas of discussion - is it possible to separate out threads of a forum via a prefix for moving out the content to another forum? Any suggestions?

If there is way to split up a quote to respond to specific points, I have failed to discover it. So, is there a way to split up a quote block? Of course, I can quote a series of extracts, but that's less than convenient when the quote is long and I wish to make a lot of inline comments. Is there a trick I am missing with the editor? Thanks.

Hey guys, I am setting up ads for my site, however I keep hitting a wall with finishing the setup due to "Policy Violations". The policy violation being that for some reason every time Google attempts to verify it keeps reporting that the "Site Is Down Or Unavailable", see below screenshot. I cannot see anything that would block Google from accessing the site. We have Google Analytics/Indexing etc accessing the site just fine, so I see no reason for Adsense to have problems. I cancelled my credit cards and somehow Invasion was able to access my Pay Pal to renew a community I no longer wanted to renew. How do I get hold of these guys and how did they access my Pal Pal as it was not listed on my payment methods.?

Hi, It's been over 10 years or probably more since I had to ban a member from one of my communities and I can't remember where you configure it in terms of the actions to take. An AdminCP search shows no results apart from the Ban Setting filters (IP, Email etc). I recently banned a member and I see this in their profile when I look at it whilst logged in, but that doesn't show to anyone else: I also see this in the Admin Dashboard: However, I noticed that members are still replying to the banned members' existing content. It is about time that we migrate our community to the cloud. I think it will be mostly fine, but there is one key functionality that right now we do through creating auxillary database table and updating it through an event on a daily basis. This is all done directly in the database and once moving to the cloud I won't have access to it... So I am wondering what is the best way to do that. OK, a bit more details. After checking in on my Facebook developers api, I see that my api access "was disabled due to a Platform Policy violation". My question, is there a general Privacy Policy that we can simply copy/paste for use in our own community? I can't imagine having to come up with it on my own. I have placed a twitter feed on my site. It does not work. I do not know why. I have looked at the different things in the CP about how to get it to work but I do not understand any of it. Is there a tutorial or documentation (step by step) walk thru?? I have been making posts on twitter but they never come up in the block. It just keeps saying Nothing to see here -yet. For some reason (That I obviously do not understand) when I create a new member on my site it takes them straight to the "choose a subscription" page? WHY.. I have created a new member with a new name and an email address and assigned them to a group. Then when I try to log in as them or they log in the site takes them straight to the Choose a Subscription page. I know there is a setting somewhere among the 10,000 settings. Could someone tell me how to turn that off? Thank you! Jeff

Hi @stoo2000. Couple more questions. 1. We are hiding wp admin with a different URL using a plugin. Does your plugin need to see the original wp admin or can we hide it? 2. Can the URL be https:// or does it have to have www in it? 3. I don't see Admins in the list even though they are of course in the wordpress list?

Hi. We have just moved to IPS. We had one forum where members could reply only to the thread they started. It operates as open diary or sorts. Yes, we could restrict the forum so that only the topic start and moderators could read it, but we wish for all members to have access to the threads on a read-only basis. Is this possible in the core and I a missing it? Or, perhaps there is an addon I cannot find. Thanks.

Hello experts I am planning to build a small private community for our international club. The goal of the community is for me to provide learning videos up to 15 minutes long for the members. In addition, a cross-video exchange (forum) should be possible. Now I started the test version and wanted to test the gallery component. Unfortunately, I can not upload videos there (file type restriction). Is it possible to adjust the file type restriction or is this not possible in the test version? I deleted a Page, but it persists in the menu. I assume I must also delete the item from the menu manager - yes? But the odd thing is, the Page content persists when I visit the page from the menu. It is definitely no longer listed in Pages. What am I missing? It is not a caching issue (I am logged in and it has been an hour or more since I deleted the Page).
