I have upgraded my test site to new gallery 2.1.0 RC1 and some reason my gallery does not look the same as site here and just wanted know is any one else finding same problem at first thought was my own skin made but the default is the same. So this why asking see if my version or its problem with gallery.

instalation went smooth. no problem. feedback: 1. i went straight to acp. first surprise: it warns me i do not have an up to date version??? it is only 10 minutes since downloading. trying to reset the warning ("click here to reset this warning") forces me to log in again - maybe it compares the version number with the official latest version number wich is still 2.1.7? 2. why the color changes? i find the actual acp color scheme more aggressive than 2.1.7 ( i mean mostrly the blueish background instead of the grey one). maybe it is just the shock of a new thing and i will adjust in time. 3. i imported a 2.1.7 skin. does not work, as expected. but i cannot change back …

Currently, when clicking on the "Show the link to this post" a dialog pop's up with an editbox containing the link to the post. Why not just have it as a normal clickable link so you can just right-click it and select "Copy Link Location" ?

I want to use the Flash BB Code to embed Google videos, but I don't want all members to use it. So is it possible to add group permissions? Having to keep logging in here and the test forum is really peeing me off. It's not every time, but it's often enough to get on my nerves. l'm here every day, so it shouldn't be doing it, and on my test forum l have done everything I can to stop it. This will lose members, there's no way l'm putting this on my main forum until this is fixed. :(

RTE stylesheet not in topic page

I just upgraded to RC 2 yesterday and the fast reply and quick edit boxes have no border and background around them. I'm pretty sure that this is because the RTE stylesheet in the style_images folder is not loading in the topic, but I have idea on how to get it in there. I've even reverted all my skins and everything. I'm not sure if its just me but I would like to know how to fix this. If a screenshot is needed, I'll make one.

Installer Suggestion

Just a thought, but I know when the installer runs through its check, from the beginning (the chmod check) to the later checks of whether data gets inserted into the database. I was just thinking that maybe you should have a Refresh button along with with Cancel button that is currently in the installer. This way if a connection doesn't go through, or the permissions are not set properly the form can just resend through the installer instead of the user having to manually refresh the page and seeing the stupid warnings to say "Are you sure you want to send this form again" assuming you knew you were sending a form to begin with.

Okay when viewing topics I noticed the new Quick (or Fast) Reply. I like it, mostly. I think it's too tall though. I would think it should be at most 2 inches tall until you keep typing or something. The reason I say this is when I view a post or the last post in a topic I don't see it all that well as it goes right to the fast reply. This would be fine maybe if it wasn't so tall. Just something I noticed, and felt the need to comment on. Edit: Nope it isn't too tall, it takes you to the Fast Reply so you don't even see the topic's post. Also there is still the Quick Edit issue where you used to be able to tab and complete now I cannot. In FACT I cannot even clic…

I don't like it at all. Is there any possibility I can use the old one if I decide on upgrading? I prefer when there are a selection of emoticons just to the left of where we enter text. The text box is FAR to wide. Insert special item? No. I prefer the images, I like what I'm used to and I think this is a backward step.

At first i thought the new pricing plan sucked, but the more i think about it, i like it I have a yearly license that I just bought, so i don't have to really worry about it until next year. I just like how i can renew it for around $30 for 6 more months and not have to worry about $70 more. I know $30 is easier to get and get rid of at one time then $70 is, even though you are going to have to pay again in 6 months. Most of us don't like changes. So thats the big reason. We aren't really paying more or less, just more convenient for some people. Also for IPS because now they can get their payments more frequently rather then waiting another year, which means they can …

Sorry for asking but I have some concerns. I'm under the impression we still upgrade the way we were always told, that is to delete all files except conf_global. So will it matter that I've changed my admin folder? I'm guessing I'll just have to change it again right?
