I have a question for those who might know this or the IPS staff.

1. Will we be going RC1 - RC2 - FINAL RELEASE or will there be a RC3 or no RC2 and just to the final?

2. Can we expect any major skin changes? Perhaps by RC2?

There are no major skin changes in RC2.

So from RC1 to RC2 nothing major and I am guessing that can also be extended to the final release?

Looks like it is generally safe to skin on. I like the feel and it is much more stable than the 2.0 early beta and RC series!

Just to clarify there are no major changes in 2.2 RC2, however I did make a few tweaks to get the default skin to validate XHTML - so you may want to wait for RC2 before skinning.

I said in another post - a brand new default IPB 2.2 RC2 installation will validate.

There is so much content saved in the database on this site already, and I don't have admin access throughout the site, that I cannot update the old content. A default install will validate however.

He speaks the truth! I just ran the validator on a default installation of RC2 and it passed. :)
