i try import skin that i exported from 2.3 into 3.0. I get: Warning: DOMDocument::loadXML() [domdocument.loadxml]: Empty string supplied as input in /usr/home/etstreet/public_html/board/ips_kernel/classXML.php on line 353 and thats it. Didnt import. I fill out the correct boxes, all of them, half of em, none of em...same error. Wont let me upload skin xml. Any one else have a problem importing 2.3 skin?

I just got an email with the exact same announcement as is shown in the "Company News and Updates" forum and I'm thinking, "OMG those liars! They've already released IPB 3.0.0 final!" Sneaky creatures these IPS people are. Funny though, because those who haven't bothered to look are still twiddling their thumbs like, "When is it going to be released? I've been waiting forever!" :lol:

Ok while I am on the search issue elsewhere (and maybe this has already been mentioned) but what happened to my assistant? Now the only way you can search for your posts/topics is by going into search? Can you guys maybe add a link somewhere to just show my posts or show my topics? It will save one page load vs going into the advanced search and typing in my username.

Feature suggestion: In the next version (3.1?), it would be good if we can add some shortcuts in the Dashboard. For example, we can add shortcut of 'switch off board' on the main ACP page.

For the "top 20 posters" of the day, next to the post or percentage count, a magnifying glass (or some other small icon) that when clicked, would perform a search of posts by that person. Heck, just changing the number of posts to a link to the search would work. Only a minor skin change and could probably prove to be really useful! :D I would ask to make it do a search of the last 24 hours, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to create a link for that.

I'm not one to put off the release of Final (heck I'm a bit impatient myself), but with over 140 bugs listed and fixed on RC2 alone (not counting the ones still found in RC1 or before and are listed as being fixed now), I think it would be a good idea to have an RC3 release and then a week later (maybe 2 weeks) have final released. My thought on this is that with all the bug fixes, it would give us all the ability to test out the RC's and the fixes one more time and to see if any new bugs developed from the fixes. Obviously more bugs will be found and development can't continue forever but with over 140 fixes, I'm a bit worried that there will be an onslaught of bugs …

OK so its really neat to have the facebook thing and all but I was wondering if there was a risk of some type of injection? I mean I know it only imports your information from FB. BUT what if a attacker was to make a dummy FB profile and possibly have some code added to their profile. Would it be possible for it to be injected into IPB 3.0?? Maybe its possible maybe its not, was just wondering?

On the performance mod perhaps there should at LEAST be a option to leave the search ON. That way you get speed and keep the much needed search that most forums rely on.

The new ACP template editor is really great... it's got find and replace and a lot of really convenient things in it.... but for me, it lags a bit when I go to it.... if I'm on it for a while it's ok... but if I minimize the window or something and open it back up it lags and takes a while to load... but it still is nice to have there should be maybe a lighter version that just has the codes like the old one in case I'm just needing it use it for small things so that it will load quicker

One thing I've noticed is that members aren't given options for profile privacy settings. Not many anyway. For example they should be able to choose whether guests, members or just friends can view their profile. Or am I missing some options in AdminCP?

i cant believe that a hosting site doesnt operate over the weekend I have a non functioning website and i have to wait from fri evening to monday to get it resolved there site says: I've emailed I've called I've opened a support ticket I have a dedicated server which i cant access because the server is done I can't change anything on any page of the site Only parts of the sites are operating but is display outdated information because I have not access to my dedicated server (all links are broke,cant telnet or ftp file to/from site or edit any files) Definately have to have some type of customer support because i cant believe only people have problems with…

This always happen, when they register a new account, many of them do not validate their account via email. Maybe the message was not clear enough via email or on the screen after registration? Did you get the same problem?

To use a drupal term "weight" as in lighter float to the top and not content significance ! although floating to the top makes it more significant. pinned topics should reorder according to weight weight of 0 of course reverts back to the general list ordering. and it should be ajaxed in with the other moderations options ;)

A suggestion for an enhancment down the road. In addition to the current option to limit editing by time, there should be a further option to impose the limit if a further post was made in the same topic. Member A posts. Member B responds to A and possibly quotes A. The A edits the original post and the flow is broken.

Why do the search and new content have separate templates, when they have basically identical design? I was really confused when I had completely skinned the search and made it look perfect only to click New Content and find it was an absolute mess, then I had to make the exact same changes as I made on the search. I understand that allowing as much flexibility as possible is great, but this seems like an absolute waste, when they could so easily work of the same template.
