In my everlasting quest to support IPS, I have now added IP.Downloads and IP.Content to my collection thus making it complete. :P One thing I found a minor annoyance is that IPS doesn't seem to let you use your Paypal for new purchases, only to renew a package. It would be nice to use my Paypal towards new purchases as well, I looked and couldn't find where it would let me. :(

Hello here the nav. bar goes like: IPS, Forums, Help, ...etc. well I want to re-arrange that on my board to the way that suit my board's purpose. Say I want it to be: IP.Contents, forum, shoot-box, help ...and so on. the manage application ACP page is currently limited as you can't move IPC above the core application :unsure: for sure I can edit my skins to get the job done but every-time you customize a skin's bit you're preventing it from being automatically upgraded when an upgrade is available. what do you thing guys? is it worth implementing or is it one of those Enkidu boring dumb and topics? :blush:

Is it possible to create a function where members can cancel their own account, but leave it up to board administrators whether that should be with our without members posts? If posts should be kept, there might be an option that posts will be transfered to moderation queue so moderators can verify if no personal information is within the posts, or maybe even an automatic merge of the former account to a "collection" account, named by board administrator, so no posts will be lost (topics not destroyed) but in the sametime former members will not be named in board anymore. Hello , I saw on a lot of other boards a reference system . When you first register you are being asked a reference user. Can this be done here ? :) It would also be nice to know how many users did a person bring on the forum . Regards !

How do you update a skin? The only way I found out, was to just re-add the updated skin. Transfer all the users from the old one to the new one, then delete the old one. Seems like a bit too much work to me. Am I missing a way?

i have error with IPB 3.0.4 when i click on PM it say. There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here help me please

Sorry to moan, but it is taking a long time for cleancut to be officially released. We were promised that it would be out with 3.0.3 - this was in August. A beta was released, but no official final version with 3.0.3 in early September. We now have 3.0.4 and another beta. How long before it is officially released? I was hoping to use it weeks ago - but can't as it is still not finished. Thank you.

I've been a customer of IPS's for quite awhile now (I believe close to 5-6 years). And usually a pretty vocal (but civil) member. They (and you) may not always agree with me, and sometimes I admit I seem to run in circles like a dog before getting the point I'm trying to make across. But the staff has always been patient with me. And if I get out of hand on that rare chance, they let me know. They have been fair. They have been civil. And they have been partial. As a potential buyer for some of the IPS products, I am interested not only in the products themselves, but also in the quality of helpful resources available. When I evaluate a new product, one of the first places I'm going to is the resources area. I want to know how can I modify the product, how can I expand it, what are the options available and how helpful and knowledgeable is the community. Unfortunately the IPS Resources forums are only available to customers (I can only view the topic list). I have many questions and ideas which are probably already answered and discussed there. because of the issue I had in this thread. I'd like to suggest that IPS make this an option controllable from the Admin panel. I would like to have more control over the sidebar. I want to prevent people from closing it. Since there are varying opinions on this - I'm sure. It should be an option in the admin panel. PS: I'm still having issues disabling the closing of the sidebar. the proposed solution causes browser errors. if anyone can help, it's appreciated.

I've just noticed something. In the block on the portal page called "Latest Discussions". If it displays a post by made by a Guest from a forum board that allows guests posts. It doesn't display the name used by the guest. On the forum "Recently Added Topics" block though it does no problem. Take a look at the screen-shot below, I've highlighted it in yellow.

On the log in page, it says you can either enter in your Username or Email address to log in. I use my exact username, letter for letter and correct password and it does not work, yet when I enter in my email address and the same password it works. Is this just me or what?

I was a long time vbulletin user. Watched and participated in the discussions on EZBoard when John first started to develop vbulletin and was the first install on a large active site converting from UBB. I'm proablly one of a few users out there that would still like to see IP Nexus or something similar to make an appearance, i can think of so many uses for it (having my own store), and plus it would cut down on costs for using other software. I would love to have the following: -- When in ACP, if I follow a non-ACP link that shows in ACP (such as the member's profile link, and then "find posts"), I get taken away from ACP. Can it be set so that when I click on a non-ACP link showing in ACP, it opens the link in a new window so that I don't get taken away from ACP? I know target="_blank" is not semantic... but it's much more convenient. -- Can a member's post count be added to the window that comes up when looking at a given member's account in ACP? Again, it would be convenient. I know it's available from the "Forum Details" tab, but would be great if it was shown under the member's profile photo.

I'd like to suggest that when you click 'view new content' and get the message "Sorry, no new content found" there is a link which says... "To view posts that have been made over the last 24 hours click here." Sometimes when checking view new content, and then I have to dash off somewhere else, I'm finding that the new content then disappears making the site look barren and then have to search for the post that was previously there.

Hi - I've just started using IPB 3 and Converge for a works project (very time limited) and I'm getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of Official online support and Help guides for both and no CSS guide either is making things very hit and miss for me as a beginner I realise they're new but I'd expected there to be more available than nothing or have I missed them - if so then any links appreciated Is there any news on if guides will be made and when they'll be available please - I'm guessing they'll unfortunately be too late for me though :( I'd much rather use a guide than continually pose question after question via the client area as I'm sure they have be…

Hello, Since IPS is known all over the world, I thought it would be a good suggestion to allow customers or new customers to be able to choose there own currency, like if you gave an option for the site visitor to choose a currency, you could have the most popular, GBP, USD and EUROs, I think this would make it easier for visitors to determine how much the product will cost them in there own currency, I myself would benefit from this as I live in the UK so I use GBP and find it confusing sometimes converting USD to GBP.

When you add a warning to a user, the system then pm's them and it comes from the person that gave the warning through the IPB system. It would be great if we could have it come from some "central syste" the pm and the warning so users could not reply to the pm. Of course still having the name attached maybe in the description would be better.

A popular feature on FusionBB is this: http://www.fusionbb.com/forum/showgallery.php?fid/61/ It's basically a "gallery" forum, which is just a standard forum, but with the benefit of having the first image posted in the topic viewable on the topic overview list. I assume this currently isn't possible with IPB 3?
