the 3.2 skin keeps changing by the hour ... this morning there was one style on the All Blogs page and a different read/unread style on the forums page I think it goes without saying that the default skin should, as much as possible, have the same conventions and style throughout the board, and the default apps so that the """""Casual User""""" [defined by someone who visits a board maybe 1 - 3 times a week or maybe 2x a month ...], would intuitively understand what the conventions and the symbols mean. Now that the round blue bullets have been explained, I get it but I didn't immediately understand what it was when I logged and started using the new 3.2 today.. So …

When clicking the top icons, Messenger and Notifications, there is no "X" or close button on the window that appear. This is from a logical and user perspective essential. Far from everyone gets that you can click somewhere (anywhere) outside the window to close it but that is not intuitive.

if you have a post that have multiple lines like this post here. when you go and edit it, the editor makes it all into a single paragraph. its kind of annoying if your trying to make a post with a list and you want to edit it and you have to reformat the whole post. also, please do something about the whos online at the bottom of the page, it looks like its been graphically abandoned..

Is it possible to enable the articles feature of IP Content on this community?

Should there be a legend on forums to indicate what the icons are for? Whilst it would add to bloat on the page just wondered if it could vanish once say 10 posts have been made, so that new members could understand the system and established members would not need telling. This could then include items such as preview, hot and any other indicator on the page. Of course this might be better for a hook, but even if it was one hiding it after x posts would be beneficial to all.

Are we sure we like where the forum's description is placed on ipb 3.2 (under the subforum instead of directly under the title as in IPB 3.1.4)? :)

Yes. I've tried to ignore it. But, I'm weird.

Maybe I didn't search well enough, but, so far, I don't see any topic with this subject... First off all, I really like new 3.2 version  Now, off to the subject... I'll start with three items... 1. When View New Content>Past 24 hours (or longer time span) is selected, it doesn't say how many pages are listed. All we got is "Next" button. When I log in here daily and I go for the above search, I'd like to know how many pages I'll have to go through. It used to be 1, 2, 3... page buttons at the top and at the bottom. 2. I'm not sure what's the purpose of this: When I'm done with reading through a list of some new topics/replies, I just want to clic…

Congratulations on a job well done. I really like the improvements you guys are making within the internet communications industry. IPB is really looking like the best forum out there, especially with such a nice suite available.

Most of the features in the ignore settings are features a person can usually stay away from anyway. If you don't like a poster and don't want to read their threads you can do things like not enter their topics. The one feature on this board that a user can't stay away from are status updates. is there a reason why status updates aren't included in the ignore options? It undermines the credibility of ignore settings/system when a poster you want to ignore puts messages on the forum homepage and you can't ignore them.

We would like to give a group of trusted/established member access to the 'Flag as Spammer' button, rather than just the 'report post' button. There are four issues we have come across: If this is not realistic, how else would you recommend we do this? We're trying to cut down on elevated staff-status moderators in favour of community-based peer moderation among known/established/trusted users. Extending them the right to flag spammers (and unapprove posts) would be ideal, but the restrictions above force us to separate staff from members more than we would like. A solution would be required to work on 3.1.1 or later. [*]Without making them Global Moderators, they c…

In the public beta, it was suggested that with the way Youtube has progressed since IPB 3 was first released, it would be better for YouTube Videos to automatically embed in widescreen format. On the public beta it was accepted and updated so that YouTube was then in widescreen format. Now here on IP.Board 3.2.0 Beta 1 I've noticed that YouTube videos seem to have regressed back to the old format: I was wondering if this was intentional, and if so why? Also, as a side note, this wasn't updated in the Public Beta, but it would be nice if you could add the fullscreen button too e.g. For reference, Media BBCODE Replacement HTML for this would be: …

Hello, I think the skin of IPB 3.2 could be simplified in a way and I have attached a sketch of how it could be done. The advantages I see in the way I propose it is to have: 1. a cleaner design, removed multiple frames around the board, which have no real function 2. better utilization of the space, no empty space around the forum 3. I also suggest to improve the forum icons, I didn't have time to propose better ones yet, but I think they should be simplified, at present they are too 'edgy' and attract too much of attention, no need to have green colour without a serious reason.

Very minor, yet possibly invaluable for members who are not experts First of all, it would be better to say 'profile feed' as this is the section in question and would help to educate people as to what this section is called.. And is there any way (not sure there is) to point users clicking on the link directly to the profile feed section of your profile. The latter would be handy to direct people straight to other sub-sections.

A lot of times we'll have to do things where we give people SQL queries to run to do things on their board. In those queries, the tables affected may or may not have a SQL table prefix on them, and if they do have one, it could be darn near anything. So if I give out a query to someone, the odds are pretty good they'll tell me they ran it and were told that table didn't exist. I then have to go into my spiel of explaining about SQL table prefixes. What would be great would be if there was some constant that we could use in the queries we give people that the SQL toolbox would swap out with the table prefix on the board it is being run on. So say we wanted to update…

View new content is a great new feature for IP.Board and it would be totally awesome if you would add some basic seo to the "View New Content" url structure. It would be great if you could turn this http://community.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=gallery&sid=835bb6d3e7d3ae0f58a8b2d2f1b7d20d&search_app_filters[blog][searchInKey]=&period=week&userMode=&followedItemsOnly=0[/CODE] …into this [CODE]http://community.invisionpower.com/new/gallery/images/past_week

I found the Client Area, and it's slimmed down quite a bit now. I'm hoping this is an oversight and not intentional. Or have they been moved to a location I haven't found yet?

I have heard (not seen yet myself), that other forum software (vb?) allows you to drag and drop attachments and/or images. Draging images into the editor is supported since 3.2 but images were not rendered (just base64 coding). Matt fixed this issue and now all base64 is ignored. Anyone into this? My members are complaining they have seen and used this function on other forums and my board doesn't have it.... :S

In board index you got TOPIC TITLE and the user name below. In forums, you got USER NAME and then last post date. Can't you just make them the same ? Sometimes you click in a user link when you want to see the last post, etc.

Hi, Just wondered if it would be a good idea to have the names of search engines as a reserved list of usernames as default in IPB Not a major item, but am sure it would save confusion on some forum owners not to see Google or Bing register an account and post.
