Are we finally going to get a "Contact Us" tab in 3.2? Many have asked for this for a LONG time now  and before anyone says a "mod" can do the same thing many times an author does make a mod then when IPB versions change the author no longer supports it so you are stuck again. Come on IPS it is 2011 integrate a "Contact Us" form and make it settable in the ACP as "Active" or "In-Active" so those that want it can use it and those that don't can turn it off.

I switched over from the perpetual license to the newer license for the spam service and I have been impressed that it is catching the spammers, but there has to be more improved filtering. First, a suggestion I've seen elsewhere, is the ability to stop the "Banned" group from showing up as the "Newest Member" as part of a release and not modifying the source of the files; And second, in the Admin CP, there are tabs for Members, Banned, Locked, Spammers, etc. but why must the banned members show up in the "Members" group tab? Can't we have a tab that only shows legitimate members?

A user could search by tags, and select more than one tag to filter content. Here is a mockup for example: More details: If a user choose Tag1, all content that was tagged with Tag1 will be displayed. But if the user choose more than one tag (for example Tag1 & Tag5), only content that was tagged with both tags will be displayed.

Can we please have the option to switch from rich text to the regular editor directly on the post screen again? Sometimes the Rich Text editor screws up the post code, and you wish to edit the bbc manually. (For example I have had instances where I unbolded in the richtext editor, and it wouldn't actually unbold when you submit it.)

After upgrading to 3.2.1 (from 3.1.4) I had two support tickets. Both issues promptly resolved, my "Thank you" sent as a very last ticket reply. Still after couple of days I get this email: Yes, yes I replied, said "Thank you" etc. What's the deal here?

I had asked previously if the photo - avatar change in 3.2 would alleviate the issue of being lumped into profile viewing permissions and was assured it was. Well it isn't. If guests aren't able to view profiles they are now not only unable to view photos (ie the little photo that appeared in the sidebar content) they are now not able to view avatars (which is worse than it was). You need to separate the photo/avatar viewing permission from the profile viewing permission. They are completely separate privacy issues.

I like how search results show the first post in a topic that match the result. It would be even better if that information contained a link directly to that post (see attachment).

Can anyone shed light on the EOL timeline for 3.1.x? Are we looking at roughly a year from now? Other? This is pretty critical for large sites that take time to migrate and wont upgrade until things are solid as a rock. Thanks for the help.

I guess when it's your own site that's screwed up, you hold support to a higher standard. I have been very supportive of IPS and their support but this week, it is SUCKING big time. We're about to roll into the weekend too when support is almost non existant. I have open tickets that need to be addressed ASAP and i'n not having much luck getting you guys to respond. What's up this week?

Originally I posted my question here: http://community.inv...-rename-a-link/ but after I saw the actual solution I decided to post in this forum as well... Apparently: ...is the solution. It works, but I have to admit it's really dumb and complicated. If I (computer savvy person) couldn't figure it out what about regular people? This is a step back from the previous version. Again, why something simple has been changed to something much more complicated? I hope someone will create a hook to make it like it was before. In this topic (http://community.inv...rom-topic-view/) one of the staff member wrote: If regular members are supposed to be con…

Hello, I might be reading this code wrong, so I might be off-base here, but I think I spotted a minor bug in acp.jquery.members.js. This isn't affecting me, so I sort of don't care, but I thought you might want to know about it. In fetchResults, line 411: var o = $.extend( currentOptions, options ); The jQuery docs for this function state that currentOptions will be extended and also returned: "Keep in mind that the target object (first argument) will be modified, and will also be returned from $.extend(). If, however, we want to preserve both of the original objects, we can do so by passing an empty object as the target: var object = $.extend({}, object1, objec…

Please, bring back Start New Topic button in ViewTopic view (when viewing a topic). That really introduces an unnecessary step for example when you go through topics (hoping that you can place your question there, but you find that you cannot) you have to go back to forum view and then click Start New Topic button. Just simply removing that is not good in my opinion. Please IPS, speak your mind.

Ok, so after purchases at IPMarketplace something needs to be done about sellers that do not support their products and do not mention they do not. Others who purchase out of there deserve to know what they are getting into. Just like ebay IPB needs a feedback section for each seller where they can give honest and valuable information to others so they can make a common sense purchase. Lots of things can be looked at here. Quality of product Quality of support and more... At some point because the products are sold through the IPB system and the products are about IPB, IPB should consider this option. Personally, if I knew someone slacked on supporting something I w…

Does anyone have any information about the launch of the IP.Tracker for IPB 3.2? It will come out in the beta of the IPB 3.2 or in RC? The version 2.0.4 is incompatible with IPB 3.2. Shows the error: Strict Standards: Declaration of tracker_core_field_permissions::adminPermMatrix() should be compatible with that of classPublicPermissions::adminPermMatrix() in/home/**********/public_html/forum/admin/applications_addon/ips/tracker/sources/classes/fields.php on line 1162 Thx a lot!

Is there a reason why topic ratings were removed from the topic listing in IP.Board 3.2? I thought topic ratings were supposed to be used as a guide in knowing whether a topic was worth viewing or not.

Hi, It's more useful also, for the recurring events, to have the possibility to check an option like "yearly recurring events with no limit" instead of setting the year limit. In my calendar I have celebrating recurring yearly events, and there is no reason to set a year time limit in this time period, because they are repeating every year (endless). I wish so much, you implement this. Thank you! Best regards!

I'd like to make another suggestion for future forum versions. It would be great to disallow the permanent deletion option for super mod/admin usergroups. I never totally remove any content from my forums, so that there's always some sort of audit trail or record of the post - and I'd like to be able to enforce this option so that it also applies to super moderators. I'm sure a global or usergroup option to disallow hard delete would be a simple addition :).

I ran across a popular post that had the star inside the quoted text, which could make novice members think the quoted text is what was highly liked instead of the response. I think the quote should be below the star, or offset from it. I don't think it should be inside the quote box, either way.

Most websites have a copyright notice in footer. With IPB you would have to edit the template itself to put such copyright note. What about a setting in ACP where you can set your own copyright, and when people click the copyright text, a pop-up box or a new page displaying copyright will be shown. Wordpress has this copyright added, where you can easily change it yourself. IPB should have this as well implemented as a part of the product itself if you ask me. If IPB support this, people would have to add copyright to their footer each time there was an upgrade...

I know the "my content" area is apparently using caches or tables updated periodically with a task, but I think the need for that is outweighed by the fact that it's much easier to overlook replies now. I'll look at that to see which of my topics have new replies and sicne it's not up to date... another one may show as having replies and end up where when there is an update it may have some newer ones above it with no responses. I'm probably not wording this very well. Basically if you click on topics with unread status all in a row, you will later see a lot of totally read oens on top and assume ALL are totally read, whereas down below them there can be one with unre…
