It's more useful also, for the recurring events, to have the possibility to check an option like "yearly recurring events with no limit" instead of setting the year limit.
In my calendar I have celebrating recurring yearly events, and there is no reason to set a year time limit in this time period, because they are repeating every year (endless).

I thought ips implemented this but I realised yesterday that we have to input an end date :(.And the maximum end date year is 2038 for linux 32b if you input > 2028 it will give errors in your site(will not appear in calendar the event)
