It's really frustrating that there isn't a way to prevent certain groups (i.e. guests) from seeing images that have been uploaded as attachments and then inserted into posts. Every forum software that I have ever used has this ability. Just blocking non-paid groups from being able to upload isn't enough. This feature is very important for those of us who run forums that require membership fees. If I can't prevent guests and non-paid members from seeing content it basically defeats the purpose of having a fee based system. Currently, you only create one thumbnail for profile pictures, which is 240x240px, to account for 2x DPI on the largest profile pictures that you display. However, personally, I would rather trade the lower bandwidth (and therefore higher page speeds) for the higher disk usage to get each image turned into at least a couple of different sizes. Is there such a thing that would allow a user to set a price in commerce, and the plugin, core software, API or whatever could work out other currencies and autofill those currencies tied in with something like XE.com? The reason I ask is I'm now using @Adriano Faria's excellent classified app, and I use three currencies. UKP, EUR and USD. My members tend to put in their own local currency, but if potential buyers display in another currency, no price shows. I think this would be pretty awesome if it's do-able.

Hello, I used similar sidebar blocks before on the forum, now I am using the IPB blocks instead of an external one. One of the most important differences, that most of my members also noticed is, the new sidebar blocks show the name of the owner of topic and the date of when the topic was started. However, I think the idea of creating a sidebar block with the most active, recent or popular topics is to show the users that your forum is active. For this reason, I think it makes more sense to show the name and the date of the last reply to that post. Its not only my request but also many of members of my forum suggested that it was much more useful to see that information.…

Just as a suggestion, it would be nice to see when you click the rebuild images via "Posting" you could get some kind of indication of where the processing is at for rebuilding those images/sizes. I can see where someone would think this feature may not even work because they go to the front end and expect images to be resized immediately after clicking the link.Maybe this does show somewhere and I am missing that? DS

For Forum with type 'questions' widget that shows 'questions with no answer' is only to display 5 questions that have no answers. More may exist but it only selects 5. So my request to have paging and be able to see all questions without answer in that section. Thanks.

I've used IPB since 3.4.7 and one thing 3.x has that 4.x does not is replacing old statuses on the feed/block. If I post a status an hour ago then again, in the feed you can see my old status and my new one. I would like to see only the most recent status of that person on the side block.

When clicking the Notification Bell the drop down menu initially shows you new Notifications in Bold. Depending on your settings there can be quite a few. Problem is when you click one to go read the Topic/Reply, when you return none remain in Bold but are back to regular type as if you already clicked them. It would be great if all Notifications you haven't clicked remain in bold until clicked, so you can go back at your leisure to review those. Seems like that wouldn't be too hard to code?

Ok, this is causing me a problem in Commerce. I use three currencies, GBP, EUR and USD. If I only enter a price in GBP, and my members then changes to view in EUR or USD the item comes up as $0.00. If they try to buy they get an error. Is there a way that the members can only see the currencies that I fill a value in? Or, what would be even better, an API that links currency converter such as XE.com so that approx values are added, just like in ebay?

Hello, I am not exactly a client which causes me to be unable to post it on the feedback section. May this thread be moved to that section please? I am an user in many forums which adopted Invision Power Suite software, and I hate how when you use a profile picture which contains a transparent background, the background goes white on your profile. My suggestion is for pictures with transparent backgrounds to be fully supported. Cheers.

Would it be possible to add a trash can editor icon that clears the editor? Probably a CKeditor plugin available that I haven't seen but I feel it should be included in IPB as default with the auto save feature you have. Despite the huge editor improvements which have gone down great, my members are still struggling to remove quotes on mobile when they change their mind not to post in 4.1. I've been trying myself to figure out a fool proof method of removing quotes but select all can take several attempts to highlight the quote. Put the cursor before the date, click delete and it takes you to the previous page. Bug? The closest I've got is, tap inside…

I know that the ability to add custom BBCode has been removed from version 4.0, and I really do not want to go over old ground here, but I still need some way of replacing either tags/urls/code with other content in the same way that images and twitter is done at the moment. How can this be done now?

I would suggest to make the homepage of the new Client Area Manage Purchases. In my opinion this is better than Your Orders, It is a bit unusual as homepage. This opinion I saw here several times passing from other ips members in the following topic. Besides this, a great job ips staff! Thanks for the nice new Client Area department!!

Hi, I would like the ability to let the profanity filter scrub HTML if a user can post it because their group has the permission. We could easily start banning things like meta redirects and other such to let more and more users use HTML and blacklist bad stuff.

I think it would be nice to have an option to send each member a happy birthday greeting. In my experience this always results in positive feedback eventhough it's a machine generated message and also serves as a friendly reminder to the user to checkout the site again. IPS could go one step further and allow a unique Commerce coupon code to be created for this individual. This way a person would get a greeting and a coupon code as a birthday present for extra discount or something similar. What do you guys think?

Hello, Publishing on my website as usual, I felt the need for a tool to filter searches. Like the ones that we can observe on shopping websites. Although we have tags, it is not enough. With this tool, we could separate in a more organized way. Look at the example images below, of how it would work, and let your opinion.
