I need some direction with a robots.txt. I need all the standard recommended stuff blocked and then I'd also like to block user profiles unless there is good reason not too. I understand they can be viewed by the public but seems a waste... Thank you in advance for help with this

So I moved my installation to one directory up from the original, I updated conf_global.php and most everything works except I seem to be missing everything that was in the uploads directory, however that directory was moved, and automatically updated in the storage settings. There is also no recache options like I keep seeing everywhere I've searched as the cache seems to be turned off for my site(for now). Any suggestions? Wondering if anyone here can help me find below features or options for IPB self serve advertisement with commerce please. How ad-buyer can track impressions and clicks from frontend? How can ad-buyer insert the codes for DFP, adwords or any other integrated ad-campaign system from frontend? There is only an image option atm I can see. How admin / ad-buyer can insert separate codes for mobile, just like there is an option for uploading up to three images?

My goal is to avoid .htaccess and beable to set this up from within the ACP, even if it has to be coded into an HTML Template or Custom PHP block. Is there a way I can lock profiles so they can only login from a specific IP Address? OR Is there a way I could use PHP to allow views to a specific page only from a certain address? Also, along these lines could I allow anyone to view a different page except that address? And finally can I allow and Admin/Mod profile to supersede these allowances/denials?

I'm having problems with the content feed (through the "Unread Content" link on the right side of the top navigation. I use the "Edit This Stream" link and select "Everything" under "Read Status". I also select "Content I have Post In". However this selection does not bring all the content that I've posted in.

How easy is this to implement? I've found this link that talks about it, https://community.invisionpower.com/4guides/themes-and-customizations/javascript-framework/using-ui-widgets/ipsuiinfinitescroll-r47/ but I guess it's a little over my head as far as how to actually implement it. I'd love to implement this at the bottom of an article, displaying other articles in the same database category. Just not sure how to go about it.

I have a cms database setup so that the categories view shows all of the entries on a google map: However in order to get the map to display I have had to set a 700px height for its container. Hi folks! I was wondering... how can you choose opening images either in Lightbox or New Tab? After finally setting everything up, I just noticed that all images are opening in New Tab instead of Lightbox. Strange... Also can't find any settings for this in the ACP. Thanks

Hi If I post a new topic, for example called test post 1, the topic title displays on the forum index as the latest post in that forum:- If I then edit the topic title to say Test Post 1 New And then go back to the forum index, it still shows the original topic title Any ideas why?? I'm running into a problem with the built-in widget for Status Updates that seems to be affecting my community. I've been using the sidebar plugin created by IPS that's built in to the IPS4 suite but every so often, members can't post via the plugin. It's like the editor that allows users to post status update via the plugin becomes disabled and I can;t figure it out. Even running the 'support' feature to recache the software won't fix the problem and I've tried multiple web browsers and multiple solution such as cleaning out the browser cache and whatnot. I'm wondering if there is a bug or glitch in the status updates plugin.

I've upgraded our IP.Board from 3.4.7 to 4.0.4. But with 3 million+ posts and 1 million+ messages the rebuild process is set to take 14 days to complete! Problem is, our database now locks up when more than 400 users are active. I suspect because the posts and topics are not yet reindexed. My questions: Is there a faster command line tool for rebuilding of posts and messages? Is it safe to manually adjust priorities in the "core_queue" table to force reindexing before rebuild? More than 24 hours after upgrade, this is what our "Background processes" panel looks like in the admin dashboard: And this is the contents of our "core_queue" table in MySQL:

Hello, I can't find in ACP a way to hide files feed from guests in sidebar and a way to set a group to add files only from URL and not via attachment in Downloads app. Is it possible to set these settings?

Back in the old days it was possible to construct a link of the form https://mysite.org/index.php?act=findpost&pid=1234567 This resulted in the software searching for the correct topic and taking you to that post. What is the v4 equivalent for finding a post when you don't know the topic ID, but you do know the post ID? Aha, my question was answered here:

Hello, Can you tell me if someone has managed the upgrade from 3.4.8 to 4.1.5.2 without problems?? I have tried several options but non of them works. The most promising was to copy the new install in the same dir and then go to admin/upgrade. But that stays in a loop. So any information would be very helpful. Henk
