So, after upgrading my IPB... the board index when you load it, is just a blank slate. Literally nothing is loaded. HOWEVER, I can view topics, posts, comments, etc. in other parts of the forum.... its just the board index is blank and isnt loading... Anyone have any ideas as to why?

Hi In the advanced configuration part of the admincp we can make some changes for the data storage 1) What should we choose between file system / MySQL Database ? what is the difference ? 2) What cache method should we choose between the 6 listed ? is there one by default i can try or do i have to install something on the server first ? 3) For the cache guest page, i cant activate it, it asks to send a constants.php, i did it and validated, but nothing changes, it stills shows "desactivated" Tx for your help, as we would like to make the forum faster (4-5s to load a page on a powerful server at the moment)

We are using IPB4 and would like to find members that keep changing IP addresses but within the same subnet. For example they will begin posting using 12.34.56.100, get banned, and then re-register using 12.34.56.200. How can we find all members using IPs 12.34.56.*?

does anyone out there know how to replace the page title with the topic name dynamically, so the page title is always the topic name? Hi, I'm in need of implementing custom profile fields per member group. Can anybody help please? I have different groups w.r.t subscriptions. I need that certain group be allowed to edit profile field based on groups permissions. I know this is NOT available in IPS default. Suppose, I have 3 groups: Editors. Contributors and Dealers. And I have 2 profile groups Personal Info and General Info. As the Editors and Contributors are normally allowed to edit their profile fields in Personal Info and General Info profile groups and that is visible to all on their author infoPane in posts. Hello there, I want to promote the use of social registration/login on my community over using traditional sign up and login forms. I have an intermittent issue on my site in that if someone tries to login using the login popup menu, instead of being loved in they seem to be redirected to the main login screen and have to repeat the process. It happens to me sometimes so I know it isn't a username and password issue but I can't think what it might be. Has anyone else come across this please?

Hi, Yesterday I ran a query which picked up around 22 community members. I selected 'Move Members' and chose the new group. The background process has been running ever since and the percentage is increasing all the time, it has been running for nearly 24hrs so far. Please see below image. Greetings. I'm planning to upgrade my community and move it to a new server. This way I can kill 2 birds with a stone. I thought migration would be easier by keeping a copy of the community in the old server, just in case ! However, I'm having a serious issue trying to convert to utf-8. I'm not even sure it's converting the data. When I pass the ips4.php inspection in the actual server (which will be the old server), I get this: I'm running MYSQL Version 5.1.73 in the old server. Hey, I recently upgraded to the newest version of IPB 4. On update, the inbox has had some issues. Is there any stats available through AdminCP to see traffic, visits/unique visits an ISP Board is pulling per day, week, etc., or any other accessible 'on-board' data/stats that would be useful to market for advertisements? Or does an owner/admin need to seek outside info through Google Analytics etc.? Thanks.

Hello Everyone, I just have a couple of questions and require a little bit assistance in regards to my community forums. - I want to create a default homepage using the pages application just like "Invision Power Services Inc" has done with their "News" tab. I have set pages to the default application but am unaware on how to post and show announcements such as shown below: (I'm not to sure weather it uses blogs or not) - I have not been able to find a working Shoutbox for IPB 4, if someone has already located a free/paid version for the Shoutbox that would be much appreciated. -

We all know that on IPS3 default time for this statistics was 15 minutes. On my forum, in prime time (between 8 and 10 pm), these statistics showed eg. 45 Members, 5 Anonymous, 150 Guests. These numbers were common. With the arrival of IPS4, we all know that this time increased to 30 minutes, and that we can not so easy to change it. I do not mind increasing the time interval from 15 to 30 minutes. Everything is ok. It would be logical to expect that number of users online increase to some extent. Is there a way to make an activity stream which just shows all the new topics, like the recent topics sidebar but then all of them. when i set the option "show me" to "content items only" and "content type" to "topics" I still get results like user X replied to topic Y. With a large forum it's hard to see what all the new topics are since it's mostly filled up with stuff like replies and i have to scroll a lot to find new topics. I miss the view new content from IPB3 Thanks in advance

Hi, I activated SSL for the domain of my board t5net-forum.de and now I tried to set it from http to https. So far it's a little bit try & error (with searching for some helpful informations in other threads, e.g. like this one). So at first I edited the index.php from define( 'IPB_URL', 'http://www.t5net-forum.de/forum' ); to define( 'IPB_URL', 'https://www.t5net-forum.de/forum' ); Then I opened the .../forum/conf_global.php and changed all http://-strings to https://.
