I know about groups to restrict access to some sections to only some members. I am currently using it. Previously, when using bbpress, I was able to also restrict some access based on ccaps (custom capabilities in s2Member). This allowed me, for example, to restrict access to those who had purchased a specific course. Those customers could be in any of the existing groups so relying on "groups" to limit access is not reliable. I know I could grant access manually, to the clients, one at a time, and I might have to do that. However, does anyone know of a possible module that would allow limiting access based on other conditions than groups, especially if it could "und…

I am really lost and searching for help. My website, Keypro.com, about 6 months ago lost all the history regarding pictures and videos. I use you and Inmotion for my website so I am asking for help regardless of cost to try to resolve this. I am not sure if it would be this support or the other. There is a feature in vBulletin that I have always thought intuitive, where they show Members X (which is usually huge) amount and Active X amount (which is very small) at the bottom of of the site. Is there a way we can do this with Invision Community? If so, what would an 'active' member be by definition and what would an 'inactive' member be according to IC rules? If this capability is not possible with Invision Community, would it be possible to name a group 'Inactive' members and move them into this group (or just rename the members group to 'inactive members') by our own admin site definition? Hello, there. After enabling elasticsearch on IPB settings (and rebuilding the search index), the forum search always returns 0 results and any system that use the search, dont work either. Possible useful info: Lastest version of IPB installed Elasticsearch version 7.10.2 ES is running and I'm successfully using it via other software PHP ver 8.1 Nginx MariaDB Any help would be appreciated.

Used my license but it doesn't work here on IPS too. If you go to a review on downloads file, type, and hit save, nothing is saved. The database column is NULL.

My forum stopped sending emails again. I'm currently using AWS SMS. Everything seems to be working fine on the SMS side according to the AWS SMS dashboard. Emails sent from outside the forum seems to coming through just fine. Also, I have an error with repeating log entries that will not repair. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

On my 4.7.11.1 site, I only have email/display name enabled (no Facebook, Twitter, etc). We have a single account that 3 different people use to share admin duties. For example Adminer with a gmail account of Adminer@gmail.com. Then we each have our regular user accounts Alvin, BillyB and Chis. On my site when I'm working as Alvin and logout and go back to the site ... I click on "existingUser?SignIn" I can then log in as Adminer. Logout and log back in as Alvin. Hello, I'm messing around with the push notifications to mobile devices and I noticed that when I click "enable in this browser" for both Chrome and iOS I am not getting the "Enabled in this browser" confirmation, even though I get a popup to accept or deny permissions. When I enable the push notifications via notification settings and accept the prompt, it gets stuck on "enabling..." Any suggestions? I checked the support tab and under the "Push Notifications" box it says no issues are detected.

I've run into an issue with SMF imports. I do one import from an SMF database. Works. Then I do a 2nd import from another SMF database. I did just upgrade my overall board from the last version to 4.7.11. So now my plugins say "update available!" but even though I am signed in with my invision account (witness my ability to place this post, I think?), it gives me this error (below). Hi, When I use builtin site search tool, the type search filter works well for Topics, but fails for every other type I tried (Pages, Files, Blog entries, Products, ...) instead of restricting the results to the selected type, it returns all the results found. For example, on the screenshot bellow I should only have files as results (like the 5th result), but I also have a product (first result), forum topics and a page.

I had previously mentioned in the support forums this week that I was attempting to update our CMS, where I encountered issues, including a database table being dropped. This resulted in us having to roll back the update process. Our hosts (Opalstack) rolled back the server files and the database to just before the update, and while it brought the site back - it is experiencing a few issues I'm hoping you can help us resolve. We already spoke with Opalstack, but they aren't familiar with the IPB codes. The primary issue is an inability to log in.
