Facebook (a.k.a. Meta) reached out to alert me that an action was required for them to continue letting me using the app I created in order to allow for Facebook login on my Invision Community. I detailed the purpose of the app (to offer the Facebook login to my community forum). They replied with: I have 3 days to comply or they're canceling my app. What should I do?

This week (after latest update) I noticed that the Spotify player is not working on my site - in articles. It seems to work in topics. For me, it is broken in mobile but I showed it to @opentype and he said it works for him sometimes and seems to not be related to Mobile vs Desktop. IDK. Is this an issue with IPS player code? Hello, After updating to 4.7.11.1, the sales statistic reports feature is very bugged. Seems to be an issue with the IPS javascript framework. I just got through doing a test upgrade and figuring out how to fix all the issues with our skins and server configuration. Once I cloned the server again and recopied our original prod files with the real database in the background, ready to do the production upgrade, I'm hit with this message... any way to fix this? I did all this pre-work with testing explicitly to avoid extra downtime...

Hi, We use Elastic Search to power activity streams / search. We created a activity stream to replicate the old "View New Content" functionality. Our users complain that the search results often show "duplicate" results. Contrary to what our users report, they are not actually duplicates but rather separate posts by different users. - But this only happens when two or more posts are posted at the same time. I have included screenshot below to hopefully show what I mean. It seems like such a minor issue yet is a common complaint on our forums. Any idea how to make it so that it only shows one result per topic? Thanks

Site 1 that I upgraded, Page Builder works just fine. (But ACP timeout isn't being honored.) Site 2, Page Builder isn't working. (But the ACP timeout works just fine.) I've tried clearing caches, changing the cookie prefix, and using a browser that I usually don't use except to watch Twitch streams and isn't working on there either. Even checked via another computer and still not working. (I have removed the custom cookie prefix setting.) Is there another setting available for rebuilding the content (html/js/etc) that I can try?

The plugin "groupcoloronuserlink" was not compatible, and so I removed it. But it still seems to appear in this error log in the MySQL table "nin_core_logs". The forum loads with some errors and the top of the page displays [[Template core/global/global/includeJS is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] I've tried manually setting the theme to default theme, it didn't help. I tried changing it to recovery mode, AdminCP was still inaccessible.

Hi, I have been using Invision for 6 months now, and have in general been very impressed with it. I use my site for customer support, and I also use subscriptions and plan to introduce product sales as well. As part of this update in the way I am running my business, I want to do a lot more with metrics, and integrations to other systems in order to do more with automation. Google now suggests that you swap all analytics over to GA4, so I did, and my initial sense of this is very positive. However, it does not give me any metrics on conversions/monetization through my site, and this kind of defeats its purpose. Can someone please advise or give so…

Unfortunately, the cookie popup still appears upon refreshing the page. I tested it on the default template, and the issue persists. Hello, we wanted to upgrade to 4.7.12 today, however the database check found a problem before. Apparently it is because the profile field with ID 1 is no longer present. FYI. We recently removed that very profile field because it contained information about AIM that no one uses today anyway. Likewise, we removed some other old profile fields that no one needs anymore. Our instance originally came from a vB import. How to do the upgrade now?

Dear, I am the owner of a self-hosted invision community but due some intern problems we have not done the updates for a long time. We have tried to fix this by updating but unfortunatly this broke the site and we had to put back the back-up. We can't figure this one out. The error occurs sometimes when a member attempts to upload an image. I just tested uploading images and could not trigger the error. Is there any files that could be blocking an smtp server from sending emails? I use alt smtp settings to test if the problem is script-sided and the emails deliver successfully. When i change smtp to the ones i want to have i get an error, is there any chance that the issue is still with invision? (I recently migrated servers)
