This is a new one for me... I have a user attempting to create an account on my forum, and stating that after they register and login, they are being prompted to link their Twitter account. They have created two different accounts and have tried multiple computers, but this is apparently happening consistently. If I login to the account via the ACP, I do not see this. The customer gave me the password to the second account they created, so I tried logging in normally and I also do not see this issue. hello, i am facing issue on my forum other forum owners register account and send PM to vips and other paid group users and leech my vips. so i want to restrict normal member users to send message to my vip members . is this possible with any setting plugins to restrict normal members to send message to vip group ? Hello if anyone could help that would be great. I am wondering if for certain post or forums if I can remove the Posted date. Some of my content is course material and although it's evergreen, the date makes it feel like it's out of date content even though it doesn't change. I did some searching through the forums but didn't find any question like this. Thanks in advance.

My developer who is in Europe said that he's getting this error each day now when he visits my site. When he gets the error he waits for a minute or two, and then it goes away. He believe that the error is related to a bug in the guest caching, which I have set to 3 minutes, and this might explain why it goes away after a short time. He says it only happens before he logs in, never after. Is anyone else seeing this? What could be causing it? This never happened until I upgraded to 4.6. Here is a screen shot of when it happens:

Some of my clients have reported to me that they are unable to use the attachment bar ("Drag files here to attach, or choose files...") in Private Messages. As in it doesn't even show up for them in some cases. I've suggested they clear their browser caches (and I've cleared the site cache several times), but the problem persists. I'm still gathering information on this, but my as-yet unproven theory is that they are using MacOS/Safari. I haven't had any problems using popular browsers (Firefox/Chrome/Edge) on a 64-bit Windows 10 platform. Just wondering if anyone else has reported this issue as well? Thanks!

It seems I can no longer mark posts as the solution. I suspect it's unrelated, but I recently had my host convert some myisam tables to innodb. I just cleared my cache. Forum setting Sample post Same issue if I disable all customizations.

Hi there, in my community an user can't login with her credentials. She has the correct password but login failes. Then she's using "forgotten password" function, is setting a new password and can login. Next day begins the same procedure as every day... She can't login, she's using "forgotten password" and so on. Now you might say "okay, one user" BUT I have the same problem for myself with another IPS page (and this is not my community). Do you know this problem as a bug?

I'm seeing quite a few posts being held for moderation and wondering what I'm missing. I wouldn't say it's a majority of new posts, but enough to be noticeable. Automatic moderation is off The option for holding new posts for moderation is NOT checked for that forum section The user does not have any infractions that would result in their posts being held for moderation It's happening even to long-term members with high reputation scores. What else could trigger a new post being held for moderation?

Hi all. I am not a developer but generally run the updates on our forum without issue. I've been a bit late at running the latest update and it has thrown a whole lot of errors which means the forum is showing no content when threads are opened. The application update says to run the Support Tool because the theme is out of date. I think I've found a bug that exists with at least IPS 4.6.5 & newer. Something in these versions blocks most bots from indexing or seeing the site. I have tested with fresh installs of IPS v4.6.5, v4.6.5.1 & v4.6.6. When I install a different forum system, we see all the bots indexing and see the site. EDIT - I think it may be part of this bug...

Hi, I don't know if this is a bug, but when you log in anonymously, if anyone go see your profile pop-up (the information pane appearing when you leave your cursor over a profile avatar) your status is shown as online and they'll see which topic you're looking at... That does not sound very "anonymously" to me... 😕

Greetings, It's time for me to upgrade my forum from 4.4.10 to 4.6.6. I am attempting to setup a test forum so I can get my themes, plugins, and applications updated to 4.6.x, as well as making sure the upgrade scripts run without any problems. I was able to copy all the files over to a new destination (on another server) and copy the database as well. Unfortunately, while the themes were rendering properly at one point, now none of them are rendering properly (the CSS isn't displaying, for instance), either on the forum or in the ACP.
