Hi, I'm trying to get the EU VAT feature working in the Commerce application, but the VAT number check fails every single time, even though the VAT numbers I tested are valid according to the official VIES VAT check. Is there something else I need to set up, or is this a bug? I'm using the latest version of Invision.

Since Invision decided to allow "posts by guests" and setting it on by default, our forum has been ruined by about 365000 guest posts from Russian spam bots. This is crazy, first our server got flooded through the CACHE bug, and took down all our other sites by exhausted our hard disks (we have 2TB disks). The update subscription to fix your exploits is a cash earning module and doesn't take into consideration helping the clients. We had a very popular forum which was ruined by your new features and security exploits. Now we are trying to clean up the forum by simply removing all the GUEST posts! Publish and Unlock time should act independent from one another. Otherwise, there is no sense to having two different settings. Unfortunately, they do not. Adjust either one and the other is synced.

I was so excited that I could "finally" allow guests to posts while at the same time not have to worry about spam. After trying this for 3 weeks, I ended up getting hundreds of spam messages so I finally gave up. All of the usual Cialis/medical ads/porn crap I thought hCaptcha was the solution but apparently it doesn't do much of anything. I feel so let down by this...is there any way to allow guests to post which won't invite ridiculous levels of spam? I noticed the email verification is good in weeding new members...is there any way to set up a similar email verification for guest posts? Elliot

Our cloud hosted site is becoming slower and slower to load on my phone, iPhone 13pro, ios 16? Today it is taking several minutes? Desktop is fine. I have been noticing this over the last week or so. This is really going to frustrate our clients. Can I do anything to help this? Now I'm trying to login to this forum on my phone before i go out and its just hanging, so its not my site, it's Invision too!

Hello, I am getting a technical error on my website: https://www.ccfcforum.com/ I did two things earlier. I upgraded to PHP 8.0. All worked fine after this so I'm sure this isn't a problem. I then upgraded a 'Members Tab' modification through the market place https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8740-members-tab/ and it didn't appear to me that this completed correctly. Hi everyone, i'm trying to upgrade my board from version 4.5.4.2 to 4.7.2.1. I have a fix to made to database, and even hitting on "fix automatically" or executing queries manually on db it still shows error that i have to fix database with this queries: UPDATE `invision_core_output_cache` SET `cache_expire`=0 WHERE `cache_expire` IS NULL; ALTER TABLE `invision_core_output_cache` DROP INDEX `cache_expire`, CHANGE COLUMN `cache_expire` `cache_expire` INT NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 COMMENT 'Unix timestamp of when the cache expires', ADD KEY `cache_expire` (`cache_expire`); Any suggestion? We have a member on our forum that told us his content is missing. It's unusual because when we migrated we used the converter to import all the data from bbPress I checked and indeed, I can't find the user's posts and replies. We managed to restore the old forum on a staging environment and export those .xml files that contain his posts. How could we import his content?

Strange things: My test site and production site both run IPB 4.7.2.1 and PHP 8.1.10. I have installed the most recent version of @HeadStand's Newsletters app. Thing is: my production site has flagged Newsletters as PHP8 incompatible, while my test site has not. In fact, this is also happening with another app - both are flagged by the Compatibility Scanner on my production site but not my test site. I've double-checked the versions and both sites are running the same version of both apps. I'll even add that in fact, my test is showing no incompatibility errors whereas my production site lists three apps/plugins. Smells like a possible bug re: test site…

IC announced the new support changes here: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/invision-community/finding-solutions-made-easier-r1261/ However, I do not see them on my board, everything is the same as it was. I created a new support/questions forum and then I can see the new IC changes, but not on the old questions forum. Even with all customizations disabled. I can provide an example to a moderator via PM.

Hello On old 3.4 version it was very simple to install IP.Content on homepage, when forum was installed in subdirectory. But now at v4.5 version i cannot figure it out how to do it. Is there any way around to use Page application for root homepage as it was in the old version ? Any information in this direction is much appreaciated!

I just tried entering my birthdate on our development server using my phone. Most of my community will use his/her/their phone to register. We have to enable COPPA. By doing that, the birthdate registration form is unusable. Why? Because the only way to input your birthdate is to click left arrow and go back one month at a time. If you were born in 1993, do you really think you will have the patience to click 344 times? To the developers, please investigate and treat this as a bug.
