Appreciate you taking the time to write this @The Old Man!
My logic for removing the "sad" and "confused" reactions was two-fold. For one, they were extremely underutilized according to the reports. More importantly (imo), if someone feels confused or sad, we want to encourage you guys to write out a response. Those are more fragile emotions, so I felt, and still feel, that if someone is sad or confused about something, that it's important they take the time to respond why they feel that way. If they're confused, it gives them an opportunity to seek clarification from someone in a reply. And if they are sad, it allows them the freedom to explain why.
Most platforms stopped offering a "dislike" option because it causes unnecessary conflict. I can attest to this personally on my own community. A few members were using it non-stop to essentially start fights - especially if their posting was restricted (they can still use reactions as a form of communication). We removed the option to "dislike" replies and it created a friendlier environment.
YouTube is one of the only places left where you can dislike, and this past week they've started quietly testing out what their platform would be like if they removed it.

Ultimately, I am aiming for our community to feel more high vibe. 😅
Would love to hear what the rest of the community has to say about this! If the majority want the ability to express negative emotion with reactions, if that will really elevate this community and your day, I'm open to hearing that and making a change. It just has to be for the overall betterment of our community 🙂 🙏

Sometimes people use big graphics like GIFs too. I do not for many such GIFs are cat-based and therefore evil.

Devil's advocate here: Do they though? Are you contributing anything of value in a conversation medium when you decide to indicate "confused!" or "sad!"? Are they vehicles for abuse or harassment?
Contextual responses are important, and "I agree with everything you said" is a shortcut that works and is largely free of malicious intent (it's hard to "I agree with you" in a way that is offensive to the person authoring the remark), however the ability to react negatively to content without stating why in a medium that encourages exchange is at odds with the platform in some use cases.
I think it's great that IPS has the easy, built in ability to define reactions for each and every install and that administrators are able to sort out what works best for their individual communities. I also think that for some communities, like this meta one, it's important that the balance of opinions, the dissenting expressions and thoughts, and that the less than positive reactions to content be fleshed out with words and quotations over a wordless reaction. That 4 people were confused about a post doesn't help the author of that post (or the people working on this platform) understand what was confusing, nor provide context to clarify.
By removing shortcuts that add little value (in this case, negative reactions), you need to express those things verbosely, and for many communities (and for this community), I think that's a better thing than the alternative.
If you disagree with me, you're encouraged to reply how and why and we move the conversation forward.

It's a good idea to use images that are double the resolution you need at 100% DPI scaling, especially for logos.

From what I've read it makes a lot of sense, the positives could see a large improvement for those that utilizes it - especially if .webp is used in conjunction.
Most people don't have overcomplicated graphics or logos.

Was there a technical reason why this has not been standardized? I am curious as to why SVG support has not already been added.
SVG has been around for 20 years (technically, 19 years, 20 this September). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Vector_Graphics It became a browser standard 10 years ago (since 2011) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Vector_Graphics#Native_browser_support I am surprised to learn even discontinued Internet Explorer 9 - 11 all supported SVG.
Or was this an oversight? 🤔

We already know that in 4.6 we will be able to use the WebP format.
We need webp NOW (.webp) images support But will SVG support also be added? Why? Because SVG format is intended for logos and icons. Assets load in lightning speed, much faster than in PNG.
    Please consider the suggestion 🙂

I've confirmed this behavior and I think it's a bug. When using post before registering and a post triggers the profanity filter (either by way of having a link that isn't allowed or by having a word that triggers moderation through the profanity filter), the guest post (prior to registration being completed) triggers the approval queue.

Hey team! Another hump day is already upon us. We have a bunch of 4.6 goodness in development still. We're aiming to have it released in the coming weeks.
I want to share a little teaser of a new implementation in our forthcoming Achievements application. You'll be able to reward members for getting a subscription to your community! Subscriptions are a super powerful way to promote community and engage with your VIPs. Here's a little screen shot:

While I've got ya... below are a list of fixes, improvements and updates we made for 4.6.
Also, there's a bunch of great topics in the Suggestions forum. I'm going to review some with the team this week and circle back there, so keep an eye out!
Any of these catch your attention in particular? Have a question about the new Achievements mini-announcement? Drop us a reply!
    - Improved rich embedding to support embedding of short links provided by the TikTok app (vm.tiktok.com links).
    - Fixed a niche issue where _really_ old vBulletin avatars may not be converted.
    - Fixed an IN_DEV error editing Pages templates that was thrown for applications without any Pages Templates.
    - Improved soft deleting comments/reviews to remove code duplication.
    - Fixed an issue where review ratings are not recalculated properly when a review is deleted.
    - Updated the ModCP content restore (soft delete) to use the built in `restore()` method instead of using its own code.
    - Fixed importing members from CSV to Date custom fields not importing properly.
    - Improved performance of the Vanilla converter.
    - Fixed some issues when converting from Vanilla and your files used to be in S3.
    - Fixed an issue where editor contents may be lost or incorrect when paginating through a topic and using the editor on different pages.
    - Fixed an issue where canceling an ad purchase would result in an error.

That's precisely the issue you're facing. SendGrid's unsubscribe mechanism is designed to make sure you don't email people who tell you to stop e-mailing them, so it stops any e-mails being sent out to them for other purposes if you don't use unsubscribe groups. By using their default unsubscribe without groups, you effectively told SendGrid "block e-mails to the people that unsubscribed so they don't get spammed."
SendGrid, without groups, has no idea what you're sending. It can't tell the difference between your newsletter and password reset e-mails. It just knows dualipavsbritney420@gmail.com said I don't want e-mails from this sender, and effectively stops those e-mails from being delivered wholesale.
To fix this, you probably want to create a newsletter specific group and a group for "important site communication" that would be things that IPS sends out by default. Then, manually move your unsubscribes into the newsletter group (that's probably what they wanted when they did it).
See here to set it all up:
    https://app.sendgrid.com/suppressions/advanced_suppression_manager
Look here on how you should update your e-mails:
    https://sendgrid.com/docs/ui/sending-email/index-suppressions/
Ideally though, you'd want to remove these e-mails from your actual tool that sends out Newsletters instead of having SendGrid manage suppressions. Each e-mail that is suppressed consumes one of your e-mail credits, so it's probably better to go in and remove them from your mailing list.
What do you use to send newsletters? IPS itself or some third party product/application?

I'm going to check later today! Maybe I'm mistaken. I've just received a good amount of emails from people who claim they don't ever get the "forgot password" email. 🤦🏼‍♂️
"What it sounds like is that they are subscribed to your newsletter but they have unsubscribed from receiving your emails through sendgrid and so sendgrid isn't sending anything." Yea! I am under the impression it's this.
Do you have any advice as to how to go about using IPS' default sub/unsub? I have had trouble implementing that with Sendgrid. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Ahhh gotcha. I'll play around with that later today so I can get a visual. Thanks for the insight @Nathan Explosion!
    Interesting!!
Going to take a look today. I believe in the past I tried to add a separate unsubscribe to my newsletter template, but Sendgrid could never recognize it, so I've been using the default unsubscribe. 😩

Thank you. I believe you do an excellent job of clarifying that. I have used e-mail provider services (Mandrill) for my own uses, but I presume the service providers I use do not filter the unsubscribed directly and still honor the software I am using.  That is to say, if you had unsubscribed from newsletter-type e-mails (admin sent e-mails), you would still receive general site e-mails (password reset).  I had no idea that SendGrid could be so intrusive.
Again, thank you for your time, consideration, and assistance in helping me understand better. It is very appreciated.

I must apologize for being short-worded with my answers. I fear in my attempt to be short and direct, I have left the wrong impression.

I understood that is how it works now, and that is how it has worked. My initial comment was for @breatheheavy as I was confused and puzzled on how he had managed to unite the e-mail in such a fashion. SendGrid (https://sendgrid.com) as I understood it was a mailing service, and I was puzzled how that server was somehow undermining the internal e-mail system. I admit to ignorance (not knowing better in this instance on how that can happen).

I made my reply before I knew you had replied.

Once you read my comment, I appreciate you took the time to clarify that the two (newsletters -vs.- general e-mails) should operate independently. While I already knew this, I was appreciative that you took the time to address me anyways (thanks). I quickly said that it was good to know in my short-sightedness and that I am looking forward to 4.6. Which I am looking forward to since it will support PHP 8. But there was no way for you to know why I am waiting for 4.6, and my pleasantry comment, with my effort to be short-worded, seems to have given the wrong impression.

    I apologize for my miscommunication.

I think you have just highlighted an important reason why the two should be separate.  Some people do not want to receive newsletters, which is perfectly fine (I don't use them myself).  But they should receive system e-mail upon request, such as resetting their password.  I am confused to hear that somehow the two have been linked together.

I think the only difference here is that you are allowing IPS to deal with the unsubscribe whereas I believe that @Jordan Invision is using Sendgrid's unsubscribe. So I think Mandrill COULD be just as intrusive but its a matter of how its setup.
