  1. I'll take this to the team and get some feedback. We're super focused on Achievements at the moment, but I do think this is a good suggestion!
  2. Hey there. Sorry to hear about this. When a user from Europe goes to check out, is there something discouraging them from switching the currency to EUR? Or is it confusing? I definitely don't think it's this 😅 We care a lot about offering the best solutions and are always working to improve functionality. 😇 I'd love some more information about this before I present to the team to see if it's something we can take a closer look into.
  3. Nice. What about using the Advertisements section? Create two new "ads" with the code and set defined keywords, then stick those keywords in your theme's global template code. Could that work? Are we asking for GTM to be native?
  4. Hey @Clover13, I'll check into things for you and circle back. 🙏
  5. Interesting idea. Question: if topics include tags, couldn't the member in theory just follow that tag? The tag could represent a category. For instance on my community, you can follow the tag "Lady Gaga" which could serve as a category for anything Gaga-related. Thoughts?
  6. Really like your suggestions! @Gangst3r. Especially the poll one. I am going to pass this along and see what the team thinks. I'll circle back. 🙏
  7. Interesting. What do you think would be a good solution to this? Making it so the subscription expires, but not the invoice?
  8. Lol welcome to IC. Unfortunately this is not available for 4.5
  9. Hey IC fam, got two little questions for you. tl;dr in bold. I use SendGrid to send emails from my community BreatheHeavy | Exhale. If someone unsubscribes from my newsletter (I send using Bulk Mail), then they also get unsubscribed from everything. Meaning, if they need to reset their password in the future, they can't because they unsubscribed. I get people emailing me all the time saying they didn't receive the forgot password email. It appears it's because at some point they unsubscribed. Question 1.) How do you guys go about avoiding this? If they want to unsubscribe from my newsletter, I'd still like for them to get the automated emails like notifications, password resets, things like that. Question 2.) Is there a way for a member to resubscribe? If I use the "newsletter" block, it won't show because they're already logged in right (I tried adding the block to an example page but nothing shows). Your insight would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Community sharing is community caring. Take it from me: prominently curating your members’ content will profoundly accelerate growth. It’s also pretty darn fun. I’ve run my company, BreatheHeavy, since 2004. While many online businesses shuttered because of social media’s looming presence, mine thrived because of the community. Full disclosure? I had no idea creating a community back in 2004 would become the not-so-secret ingredient to staying alive. Ahh, if only I knew then what I know now. Hindsight is 20/20 (that number gives me anxiety, am I right?), but I never fully understood or appreciated how immensely game-changing community building is. Related: The Importance of Moderation, err... Community Guidance (New Video!) In the past, I focused my efforts on writing news articles (in Wordpress) while my Invision Community community ran rampant. I felt my presence needed to take center stage. That cast a shadow on my community and thus my members. I unintentionally muted their voices by exclusively promoting mine. That was a colossal mistake, but the greatest learning lesson. One year ago, I decided to pivot and shift all my energy towards fostering my community; the results were astounding! I saw more than a 100% increase in unique visits compared to the previous year. The most powerful change I made was shining a light on the content my members created. My website went from being a news site to a community. I constructed a new homepage that featured topics created by myself AND my members. This not only manifested a dynamic, constantly varied homepage, but also incentivized members to post thought-provoking and engaging topics in the hopes their content gets featured. In my community, topics that are featured on the homepage are considerably more viewed and commented on than topics that aren’t. I suspect you’d find similar results. Here’s how I set up my new homepage: I utilized Invision Community’s custom blocks feature. It’s available with the Pages application. I created a new block plugin, selected “topic feed” from the list, then set the permissions in the Feed Configuration tab to only show “featured” topics from members. I also used @opentype's SuperTopics plugin to give a more-polished look. Might sound a bit complex, but it’s rather intuitive. Community leaders can “feature” members’ content by selecting their topic and in the moderation panel, tap “Feature.” Our Picks “Featuring” content isn’t the only powerful tool Invision Community has baked into its software to highlight your members’ content. We’ve also carefully crafted a promotion option to manually select content that’s included on the “Our Picks” page and corresponding block. This is another powerful method to curate community content. We created a guide on how to set up promotion/our picks. With great power comes great responsibility The ability to “feature” content is a privilege only moderators in your community should have access to – at least in the beginning. Avoid giving any member the ability to freely feature their own content onto the homepage - instead, focus on manually curating the content. Be selective and choose what topics you want to represent your community. By creating a standard, your homepage won’t feature any and all content. Instead, it’ll display items you believe will pack the greatest punch. Featuring your members' content visibly shows your desire to embrace your community. It’s one thing to comment on members’ topics, it’s another to feature and promote them for all to see. That’s the secret sauce of curation. Do you agree? Disagree? Have any suggestions? Curate content in your own community? How many questions can I ask in a row? Drop us a line in the comments below!
  11. Love me some hype tho. And love me some Xtina even more. 😆
  12. Thank you 🥲 When I see a topic I created with 0 replies I legit look in the mirror and go WELP
  13. Could you expand on this please? Why not show which moderator changed the title? As a means to protect them from potential backlash from the topic starter?
  14. Hey there! This can already be done so long as you upload an image into the topic. Here's an example. I uploaded the Hump Day image and it shows in the preview:
  15. This 😆 Still dreaming of this application. I feel like it could be a game changer. Want to clarify this is my own opinion and not representative of the IC team. 🙂
  16. Hey IC fam, is it just me or does it feel like every morning I wake up and it's Wednesday. No more Mondays or Fridays, just Wednesdays. The weeks are flying by 🤯 Maybe it's cause we're hard at work on 4.6 and the Achievements system. I personally had a chance to play around with Achievements and it's super powerful and sleek. Without giving away too much, it's seamless and intuitive. If you are even semi-familiar with the admin panel (which I imagine many of you are 😆) then you'll pick things up rather quick. Below is a list of new fixes we made for 4.6 in the last few days: - Fixed sitemaps not generating properly. - Fixed an issue where font-sizes on mobiles weren't following the Font Scale setting. (FORUMS) - Fixed an issue where users may not see the correct page after checkout if email validation is in use. (GALLERY) - Subscriptions Grace Period setting will now allow a value of 0. - Fixed an issue where AdminCP theme resource may continuously be written to disk. - Improved performance of session handling. - Fixed the hardcoded "Change how the notification is sent" text with the notification. (BLOG) In case you missed last Wednesday's Hump Day post, tap here. Blink and it'll be Wednesday again! If we're lucky 🙂 Have any questions? Comments? Drop us a line.
  17. Hey @DreamOn, you can already search by solved/unsolved in a forum that's designated to. 🙂 Check out this forum for an example and click "filter by." Search is a different animal. I can circle back. 🙏
  18. Low-key VERY interested in integrating this into my own community. I created a discord channel today and already have a bunch of members joining and chatting. Curious how my Invision Community would perform with this app
  19. Ahhh. So are you thinking this would be more useful as a moderation tool rather than a feature implemented for the overall community to use?
  20. I know you mentioned wanting it to be native and not use css / edit templates, but this might not be a one-size fits all solution. Perhaps give it a try in your community and see how it functions for a while then circle back with your findings to let us know if it improved click through rate / overall functionality 🙂 If yes I think it's something we can take a closer look at! 🙏
  21. When you send a bulk email, what if you excluded the group of people who subscribed? So they don't get that particular email.
  22. Tbh I would be curious to see how these would function in an IC community as well, but from what I gather it would require a big ask on the back-end when an admin wants to switch from the default setting to nested.
  23. Can you please provide an example @kmk?
  24. Thanks for the suggestion @MEVi Can you please expand on how this would be useful for you?
