  1. Tell us how you really feel 😆 Lol jk. We are always striving to offer the best UX. I think it's worth mentioning that functionality and look will continue to improve in all areas of IC, including Achievements :] Fortunately, there's a bunch of options for all to stylize things to match their own taste (it may require a bit of extra work, but if anyone needs help please feel free to create a topic!).
  2. I feel you on that. My advice would be to give it a try even if it makes you uncomfortable and see if it works well for you. If not, turn it off :] Might be $10 very well spent!
  3. So in this scenario, it'd be a per Topic setting. In that Topic setting, on the initial post of the topic (the topic starter), there'd a button that'd say "add authors." Once added, those members would be able to edit the post. Is that right? @InvisionHQ Whatcha think? :] Love this btw
  4. I like this! Jotted this feature down. @Joel R mentioned this already but this should accomplish what you want no? Another great tool is the group mention plugin:
  5. Nice suggestion! I think it boils down to taste cause tbh I like it on the profile photo. It kind of reminds me when a boy/Girl Scout wears a badge 😆 Curious what others think though as well!
  6. HAPPY Hump Day! A lot has gone down in the last week or two. In case you need a little refresher, we recently soft-launched Achievements. It'll be available for all in the coming weeks, but for now you can get a taste of it here in our own community. The response has been insanely epic 👏 The feedback even more so 🤯 I personally took notes of all the feedback provided. We've already started implementing some key changes (shout-out to our super talented development team!! Show them some love in the comments), including: Explanation for how you earned a badge Current position / max number of ranks shown so you know how far you have to go Added tooltips on rank badges Added lazy loading Optimized rebuild routine Fixed a bunch of bugs I know that only scratches the surface, but keep in mind we'll continue better Achievements over time! 🤠 Lots to absorb here. Now that you've had some time to digest Achievements, how are you feeling about it? Sound off in the replies below! 🥳 PS - here's a short-list of some of the 4.6 fixes we worked on in the last week: - Added a confirmation pop-up when mass approving account withdrawals. - Added an option to limit Withdrawal requests to one per currency at any time. - Fixed an issue where the AdminCP livesearch results link to categories instead of blogs. - Removed Aggregate rating from JSON-LD structured data - Worked around a bug in MySQL when viewing statistics in the AdminCP. 7. Hey Adriano, are you referring to these?
  8. Hey team, I was thinking this could be a cool feature and wanted to hear your thoughts: On Twitter and some other social media accounts, often times they guide you to "follow" a few niche topics upon signing up. This way your timeline is populated with some content you might like right from the get. It could be cool to implement either a page or something similar upon registering to a community. I think our Activity Stream feature is incredible, and I want more people to begin using it on the regular (versus my community's homepage which is curated news content that is the same for all - I'd love if each member had a homepage that was specific to them!). My thought is if they are forced to follow some suggested tags / forums / members to follow, they'd begin getting used to the Activity Stream right away and it'd create a more tailored visiting experience. Also curious to hear if others have seen success with Activity Streams in their community. Love to hear some feedback! Happy 420 😜
  9. I love this suggestion. I have found many instances when featuring a member's topic, I will add some additional information to their post, which looks like the OP wrote it. I want to clarify to people that there are now two authors, at least a contributing author, so no one's words are minced.
  10. Interesting! Leave a comment on a reaction? What is the purpose of that 😅
  11. I do agree it would look more uniform if all the pages were consistent 👍
  12. Word word - any chance you can get me a screen shot of this for me to pass along please? 🙏
  13. --- I do like the concept of excluding. There are certain instances where I've wanted to exclude things. I'm curious - 1000s of subforums? Literally? How does that function? Not being shady btw I'm genuinely curious.
  14. Nice suggestion @kmk We are working on a community roadmap for changes. There's a ton right now so not sure this will make the cut, but I will make a note of it!
  15. I do think it's worth including this as well. 😂😅🥴 When I asked Matt F for an inspirational quote he had this to say:
  16. Hey team, I’d love for you to give a warm welcome to Invision Community’s new developer, @Matt Finger You want some sweet sweet Achievements addons? Then be extra nice to him 😉 So you can get to know Matt F better, I held a mini-interview with the 20-year-old developing prodigy. I said what I said. When he’s not coding, he’s cooking, fixing things (like cars, bikes, electronics, etc) and reading up on science, physics and philosophy. After asking him about his hobbies, I cut to the chase and asked him about his passion for coding and a few of his past experiences with it. He flexed his knowledge of philosophy right away. 🤯🤯🤯 He continued: “That being said, we're faced with the question of, 'how to improve upon one's ability to reason?' We improve upon our ability to reason the same way we can get better at most things: do it over and over again while challenging yourself more and more each time. And in the case of our ability to reason, problem solving and solution finding is, in my experience, the best way to challenge our ability to reason, therefore making it most conducive to increasing said ability to reason, in turn allowing ourselves to achieve our true potential. And software development persistently presents new problems to solve and solutions to find a great way to flex our brains and get better at reasoning.” “So to sum up, to me, developing is more than writing code, it's more than solving problems. It's a way to achieve my true potential as a human being.” “Plus it's fun.” Welcome to the fam, Matt F! Please drop a line in the comments and spread the good vibes 😎
  17. I'm all for members using as many sad or happy emojis as they please. 🙏 Whether that's 1 sad face or 50 of them. I'd like to point out I'm not trying to control anyones' emotions.
  18. Ahh another addition of Hump Day! A lot has changed since last week's HD. 🤠 In case you've been living under a very large rock, Invision Community announced/launched our latest feature: Achievements! Read our Blog Post about it here. This also means that this community is officially on our latest update: 4.6. This update will be available to you all in the coming weeks! In the comments of the announcement blog post, @Matt posted some additional visuals for you to digest. I'm going to include them here as well! --- Here's an example of me manually giving a badge and/or points. Here's the dialog the moderators can use: One other thing we haven't spoken about is that you can allow your moderators to deduct points from a user when they are warned. I have a feeling you guys have lots of comments / questions / concerns (and props of course) to submit, so please feel free to sound off in the replies below. Missed the blog post? Ch-ch-check it out:
