  1. 😍 Regarding this: "Added a setting to allow the administrator control over whether to disable the form's submit button or not" So a user could check the box, but the admin still can take away the Submit reply button from them? How does that differentiate from being suspended? Sorry I haven't had enough coffee yet on this fine Monday morning 😂 Love love love that you're continuing to improve this idea. I think it's huge and an amazing step in the right direction for communities (amidst all the potential toxicity that can happen mainly on social media - it's cool to see how IC differentiates itself from that with apps like this).
  2. Gotcha! I'm still v v interested in this app btw. I'd prefer to hold off on giving my moderators ACP access even if it's limited. 😇 But if I have to manually apply this and remove the restriction later by setting a reminder that can be done. Would be suuuuper powerful if it was time-sensitive and automated in a future release! Happy Friday @Nathan Explosion
  3. We're wrapping things up! Everyone's favorite answer: sooooon!
  4. How time-consuming would it be to take on these suggested amendments to the app? 😇 Worth mentioning that all the hard work you've done to make this is greatly appreciated - don't want you to think my suggestions negate that! 🙏
  5. You're a rockstar @Nathan Explosion. I love where this is headed! Few questions: Does this include a timeframe for the user (like how suspensions / restrictions work)? The kindness feature is applied to Jordan Invision. He'll be forced to check the kindness box for X amount of days. Once X days is up, the kindness restriction will expire and he can freely post. If not, will members have to manually be removed? Can moderators who don't have access to the ACP be able to apply this? Looking forward to hearing back.
  6. SHOOK! Going to look into this further later today. Appreciate you taking the time to make this come to fruition. I think giving the option to apply this to specific members versus globally is a game-changer. I received a lot of feedback all over the place about this being applied to all and no one was a fan of that (except me lol). I have a few questions, but I'll ask them in the corresponding support topic. Thanks again @Nathan Explosion
  7. I feel ya. It's a tough line for us to straddle between being transparent with our Community and letting you all know what we're up to and being more secretive. We'd rather let you guys in and be subject to some criticism (like the wait time for 4.6 & Achievements) versus us doing our thing and our community having no idea about what's going on. Don't be angry 🙂 Be happy! Once it's out I suspect you'll be grateful we took an extra bit of time to improve things versus rushing it.
  8. Hey @GazzaGarratt 👋 I do agree that it'd be great to have more flexibility in regards to how the page displays whether you're looking at it from desktop versus mobile. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to have an app/plugin for this. It knows, 'oh, the user is looking at X Page on desktop, so they'll see Y. Oh, and this user is looking at X Page but on desktop so it'll display Z. Just thinking out loud 😅
  9. This is awesome! I will gladly donate 👏 I'm wondering... would it be a big undertaking to apply this Kindness plugin to specific members (versus globally). If someone breaks the rules, instead of suspending them first, we can apply this to their account for X amount of time. Then, if they continue to check the box, but their posts still break the rules, we can suspend them. Thoughts @Nathan Explosion?
  10. Happy Hump Day, fam! Been receiving a lot of messages about 4.6 and Achievements. We're near the finish line (I know that's annoying to hear but we're close!). Why the wait? We absorbed a ton of useful feedback from you and are implementing it 👏 Achievements is turning out even more epic than what we launched here a few weeks ago 😭. It'll be worth the wait (again, annoying I know, but sit tight). Our talented team of Code Yodas™ (aka our developers) implemented some cool additions that'll make their red carpet debut in 4.6. 📸 The ones we're highlighting today are the improved appearance of Notifications Settings and Top Files reporting in the ACP. Shout-out to YouTube Short URLs being fixed as well. Improved appearance of Notifications Settings You'll notice we're adding more flexibility to control what kinds of notifications show, and incorporating them with the Push notifications feature. 😍 . Thanks to @Rikki for hooking up the screen shot preview! Most Downloaded files statistics in the ACP And for the data junkies, we've also added statistics for the most downloaded files in the ACP. Shout-out to @Matt Finger for this implementation! Our full list of changes made in the last week: - Fixed an issue where changing table filters could cause the table to be stuck in loading state due to an underlying error. - Fixed an issue where Stripe webhook events may fail in some circumstances. - Account settings will no longer prompt for re-authentication if the account does not have a way of re-authenticating. Applies mostly to custom SSO integrations. - Fixed an issue where Youtube Shorts URLs would not embed. - Fixed an issue where API requests may cause an error if referencing transactions from deleted members. - Improved the appearance of the Notification Settings screen. - Added support for converting Markdown formatted posts in Vanilla. - Fixed some issues when converting from Vanilla and your files used to be in S3. - Added statistics pertaining to the most downloaded files Lots of exciting things going on here. What's your favorite from the list? Sound off in the comments - we'd love to hear from you!
  11. Good call! I did actually think of this too but it felt a little stuffy to have them agree to the Community Guidelines every time they comment. I wanted to make more of an emotional plea. But I like the suggestion. 👍 Still thinking of ways to improve this idea. Appreciate the feedback.
  12. Agree! Jotted this down. We'll see if this is something worth taking a closer look at in the future. 🔮
  13. Thanks! I'll pass the idea along to there. Appreciate the honesty. And no, I was never intending this to be implemented as a core feature (though I personally am not opposed to it of course but I can see why others are). Thanks again.
  14. Kindness plugin update: I changed the verbiage around from "My comment is kind" to "My comment is not hateful." I think this gives the user a lot more freedom to express emotions that might not necessarily be positive or kind, but acknowledge that it just can't be hateful. So far my community hasn't lit the pitchforks regarding this implementation. 😂 Comments are being posted as usual. @Nathan Explosion If you're interested in expanding on this awesome plugin (paid or other), I jotted down a few notes 😇 Again, really appreciate that you developed this. I know that there's a fine line between freedom of speech and censorship. Ultimately, I am not looking to silence members or tell them how to feel. Rather, give members the opportunity to pause for a moment before hitting Submit Reply. Adding this little barrier yea is one extra step, but it could very well be what inspires a member from saying something that either breaks a community's guidelines, or something they'll regret. I know people can simply ignore this option and say something hateful, tick the box and post it, there will always be people who ignore that, but if it can help communities overall - that's something I'd be interested in seeing. 🙂 Add ability to Enable/disable in the admin panel options: When creating a Topic When submitting a Reply When sending a Private Message Change language in plugin settings versus Language pack Other ideas: Move closer to the Submit Reply button on Desktop Ability to apply to specific Members or Groups (versus Globally)
  15. Hmmm I'm not sure there'd be an obstacle here. All this user would need to do is check the box and they can freely post their message. 🙂
  16. This could be pretty useful! Same with a "draft" option for topics (which we have a separate topic about I believe).
  17. I hear ya @Maxxius. Jotting down for review. 👍
  18. Hey there. I'm not quite sure where you got that link. What you linked to is this topic though 😆
  19. Then you haven't listened to his new album yet 🤠 💐 🌈 ⭐️
  20. WOWWWWW! You came through out of the kindness (😏) of your heart. This is awesome 😭 I enabled the plugin and changed the settings up a little. Really appreciate you making this @Nathan Explosion. I am curious to hear what my community will think of it. I know there's a big debate about this option, however I like that it's up to the community leader to leave it up to them whether it's integrated or not. This is part of several Kindness plugin ideas I have. Thank you again! I'll circle back with feedback soon. ❤️ Video of it in action here:
  21. Like the suggestion 👍 Jotting down :]
