SeNioR- reacted to Marc Stridgen in [Commerce] Subscriptions vs Product With Renewal
You can do a little more with products such as limit to certain groups, associate with other purchases, add various renewal options, feature, do licence key integration and a fair bit more. Subscriptions was built to simplify this process, and just offer a subscription model of subscribe/upgrade/downgrade and add to user groups when this happens. They are also presented on their own subscriptions page, which is more built for purpose.
Generally, most customers will find subscriptions will suit their purposes better than products. As a general rule, I would say unless there is something specific you cannot do as a subscription, then It's a subscription you would be using.

Well, the software isn't supported on those so maybe pop back to PHP 8.1.x which is supported, and start investigation again?

This is added in .15 but it isn't working properly. As you're ordering it by record_time DESC, I have to upload them in reverse order if I want to keep them in a specific order.

All the files have the same record_time (1704826851) so it doesn't make any sense to order by time.
record_id ASC would be more appropriate.

As mentioned above, these are indeed supported. Taking a look at your system, you need to upgrade

You should add in the Changes affecting third-party developers and designers the new parameter in the \IPS\Node\Model::setLastComment().
This is breaking/locking the apps and crashing the whole board install and requires the immediate attention of the developer.

Sorry to hear that this has happened. However, we would not be able to assist with transactions with a third party. If you haven't already tried, please contact them via their website.

SeNioR- reacted to My Sharona in [Suggestion] Events Location Data Field
When you are posting an Event with a physical location and you choose to Specify a location..., unless my understanding is off and I am missing something, on a desktop, the software places the Location data alongside the Event Details within the block.
If you post an Event with a physical location and you choose not to Specify a location..., on a desktop, the software expands the block to fill the entire block. Choosing to not fill out the Specify a location... field will result in Google sending you an Events structured data issues detected notice and potentially penalizes you in an SEO. Hence, it is advisable to fill out the Location data field.

Now, having all that dead space is not a desired look in my opinion and it would be much better to have a larger image/data field be more observable and thus easier on the eyes.

In mobile portrait view, it all displays as it should, the Location data field is placed below Event Details section of the block, so that operates as it should, again, in my opinion. However, in Landscape mode, it displays the same as desktop mode.

I should mention that in this scenario, the software sidebar is enabled.

    Thank you for your consideration.

I don't believe you have the capability to turn it off.
Stuart stated that certain parts of the network are still suffering from a DDoS attack, which more than likely are causing the puzzle prompts.

    Dear All
I haven't looked at updates recently, nor browsed here - I've very much moved away from running a "forum" and now concentrate on running our "community". The result is I am behind what the software actually does, features etc.
Today, a Moderator reported that he was editing a post when he was confronted with a "Human Puzzle", which took three attempts to solve and then when he did solve it, the software didn't take him back to his edited post. I tried and pretty much had the same result.
How do I turn this "feature" (pain in the rear!) OFF?? (I've searched the ACP and done a serach here with no result)
    Many thanks

    Bill

I am getting the prompt repeatedly this morning. Other issues include not being able to edit posts. Today is not a good day for issues, please fix ASAP. Thank you.

    ^^^^
The puzzle prompt that arises will not solve the first time, it has to be loaded a second time no matter what.

I couldn't even edit my post above, here and I tried immediately after posting it.
    ETA: and it merged it...

for clarity... It only merged after posting a new message

We're still actively mitigating the DDOS attack on some sections of our network. This isn't a network-wide issue and does not affect all customers.
4xx errors are likely to be WAF related, such as making too many requests in a short time.

You are correct. I disabled the app and the HTTP 500 errors go away. If I re-enable it then it comes back so I currently have it disabled while I am working with the author of the app.
Thank you everyone for your guidance.

Bring your community to life with the latest live community features coming to Invision Community 5.
Last year we introduced new features that immediately showed who was currently reading a topic and who was replying. This feature leveraged new technologies to connect members with each other instantly.
In this blog post, we'll delve into the latest live community features for Invision Community 5 and explore how they enhance our sense of togetherness within our communities. We'll examine how these features instantly notify us about new events, updates, or interactions and how they contribute to a shared sense of presence.
These features go beyond the static posts and comments we've grown accustomed to and introduce a real-time element. Whether you're part of a support community, a gaming forum, or a professional network, these features will have you feeling like you're interacting with other community members simultaneously, fostering a strong sense of shared experiences.

    Posting
We've all been involved in a busy topic where you're keen to see what replies your latest post has. Select packages on Invision Community 4 can see who is active on a topic and who is typing, but you have to hit refresh to see the new posts added to the topic. If you're anything like me, then you hammer refresh until something new appears.
With Invision Community 5, this is no longer a problem. As you interact with a topic, new replies are automatically added to the topic without needing to refresh. This one feature brings the conversation to life, and you get a real sense of other members interacting with the topic at the same time as you.

Getting rewarded for your content is gratifying and encourages you to post more and show your appreciation for other's content via reactions.

With Invision Community 5, you can watch the notification count rack up in real time, alerting you to new events that you may otherwise miss as they happen.
