On the uploader, I had at one point offered to pull this from your server. However, this may have been better offered earlier in the process so I will note that for future 🙂 
  On the communication on migration, I think the confusion here is in that you had purchased cloud and we have no way to really know if you want to migrate unless you let us know of this. I do concede however, that we could maybe make it clear that if you do want to migrate to us, to make contact.  

Thanks for your feedback, John. I think the issue with pages is it intentionally serves different purposes for different people. As such, looks very different to each, and one generic preview may not nessesarily work

It could be a feature that can be turned on or off in admin? The hover preview would grab the first image (if there is one) of the article or record and some intro text from the first paragraph?
I know ya all know wikipedia, if you hover over a link at their website you'll see a handsome preview popup, I really love those. Just a wish added to your long long long list of wishes from us all 🙂

You can't import a CSV list of the active members, it would just duplicate the accounts or skip importing them if the same email already exists (I forget which right now).
 
If you already have a list of active members, it would be best to:
Move all members to a new group. Run a script to move the active members (based on your list) back to the correct group. Mass delete the members that remain in the new group. Delete the new group.  
As I mentioned, you need to write a custom script that accepts the format of the list of active members and updates the accounts. Or, for example, if you have a query based on the email field, you can do step #2 above without a custom script and simply run your query with all the active members' emails.
 
In any case, be sure to do a backup before making any changes.

This is working as intended. The ‘black cat emoji’ is a combination of multiple Unicode values. Cat + Combination Character + Black square. Those ‘strange characters’ are a necessary part of the emoji and they all need to be encoded. Removing them changes their meaning. For example, for the emoji representing people, skin color and gender are represented this way. People won’t accept that as they might accept a cat changing its color. 
And sure, if you delete parts of it, it will break. Like removing the combination character will result in 🐈⬛ instead of 🐈‍⬛. 

No. If you switch, any tags already present will stay, but no new ones can be added unless they are the ones you specify

No, you would have to add them via the ACP in order to be able to use them. There is no way in which to do it in the manner you suggest
