So 4.6.6 is out and to my disappointment the issue remains. Was this fix not included?

This issue has been confirmed by IPS through a support ticket and the good news is they are working on a fix. The workaround is to re-save the content notification setting either by logging in as the user or through the ACP. One you re-save, the email notification is sent after content is approved. I've tested and used this workaround multiple times and has worked for me. For now its an extra few steps but hopefully there will be a patch or fix soon. This is important for some of my sites as it triggers the content poster to come back.

Please, please, point them at this discussion and request that they actually read it - because the moment you mention this application, they will switch to "3rd party issue" mode.

You definiately get better revenue from Ezoic over Adsense as you have access to Google's premium inventory. There's a couple of downsides 1. You have to pay in advance for use of their platform by credit card, rather than them take it from your earnings which are paid by PayPal. 2. There's various levels of paid plans, the more you pay the more you make. But there's no automatic scaling of plan. It'd be better if it automatically scaled based on volume and ad inventory and just charged you from your payout.
If these two issues were combined in one solution it would be an incredible product. I'd still recommend it though.

Thanks for that @Paul E., wasn't aware. Any db prep I need to do if I move from mysql 5.6 to MariaDB 10.3 or is it just update and drop in? WHM gives me the option, just wondering if I update the server to go this route with MariaDB, what else do I need to do. Anything with IPS config need to be changed/updated?

What nonsense, just curious. I’m not up to speed and haven’t been following either to be honest. Is there more support behind MariaDB?

I've been running MySQL for years and there are various topics on here regarding those who are using MariaDB. I just upgraded all my sites to 4.5 and moved to PHP 7.4 while still on MySQL 5.6, now EOL. I'm inclined to just move to MySQL 5.7 and call it a day, but was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about moving to MariaDB 10.3 instead. Any real benefits?
I've added a poll, just wondering what everyone uses. What does IPS use for their hosted customers?

I just started playing with this and a content rebuild feature would be nice, retro and delete. Might work well for SEO if in a small word or abbreviated niche. I can also see this being very useful to add affiliate links.

I've been testing out the club feature and seeing how it handles forums. I'm glad it shows the forums in the normal index, however I'm disappointed in the 0 control in the order of them. I'm not even sure how it's ordering them. Having some way to just re-order them in some way.

However, the main feature I really want is to just show each club's forum as a sub-forum under their club's name. Example below. I think it would be much more clean and organized looking rather than just having a huge list of redundant forum names.

EDIT: I've also noticed creating a club sets you as the owner forever, even after removing yourself and setting someone else as the owner. It says I'm a member on my profile and in the clubs page, despite me not being.

AlexWebsites reacted to Marc Stridgen in Moderators can mark posts as the solution setting?
Not a problem. As suspected by my colleague there, the issue is that the moderator group has restricted moderator permissions on the "forums" tab of moderator permissions. In this case it was the permission "Can set best answer/solved for questions and topics?". Therefore the user was not actually a moderator in that respect

AlexWebsites got a reaction from Daniel F in New notification when content is approved in 4.6
I did some more testing on one of my lower traffic sites. Updated to latest version, created new user/checked notification settings, disabled a few apps/plugins and am running on phpmail. Checked mail logs and no emails for approved content to that user email, only notification bubble on the site. I submitted a ticket because I'm stumped on what to check next.

Please check your emails. I have created a ticket for you on this, so that we can get on there and take a look. From what you are describing, you appear to have done everything correctly

In 4.6.2, the release notes state -  Added a new notification when content is approved
Where is this and how does it work? If a member posts content that is held for moderation, how are they notified? I don't see a setting for this or emails going out.
