I am also having this issue since updating the application a few days ago. All new topics are posted twice for some reason.

Welcome to this year's first Invision Insight!
And welcome to 2023 everyone! 🎉 After a very busy 2022, we have so much more coming to you this year!
There has been so much work happening behind the scenes and I can't wait to share some of it with you in this edition. For those keen eyes, we would like to introduce a new forum in our community called Invision Insider. In an effort to keep our clients more informed on everything Invision Community, we thought it a great idea to provide a central place for all news and updates including Invision Insights, beta announcements and release webinars. You may recognise the majority of topics already in this forum, but as times goes on, we hope to fill it up and give everyone a go-to space to know the latest.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve or evolve on this, please don't hesitate to let me know.

    New Version: 4.7.7 Beta 2
Our February maintenance release is now available. This brings some key changes including the Gallery refresh and GraphQL support which I'm sure everyone is very excited to hear about!
Please bear in mind that it is a beta, so using it on your main community is at your own risk. There are also some changes affecting third party developers and designers to take note of.
Take a look through the full release notes below.

    What's New in Gallery?
The Invision Community team have been hard at work giving Gallery a bit of a refurb...
Well, not a bit, I mean HUGE! @Ehren has done an absolutely stellar job bringing Gallery into the 21st century, and what an awesome update it is! I'm not going to take the limelight off @Andy Millne though, so please read his thorough blog post discussing the many new features and visual refresh below.
We are very thankful to all that worked on this product and hope that our community takes full advantage of everything Gallery has to offer. How are you implementing Gallery in your community?

    Community Security
Thanks to those that joined us for our Community Security event. Some of the key action items @Charles spoke about included enabling two-factor authentication, staying up to date with the latest version and ensuring your host uses secure practices.
For those that missed it, you can still watch a recording by clicking below. We'd love to hear more about what you do in your own communities. Knowledge is power, and the more we share these practices, the more secure all of our communities will be.

    Upcoming Event
This is something you definitely don't want to miss out on! Our February 2023 Release Chat has been announced!
We will be talking about all the significant changes that have been made to Invision Community, a key item being our Gallery revamp. If you have some spare time or need an excuse to take your mind off work for a few minutes, make sure you tune in!

    Changelog
Here's what the dev team have been working on over the holiday season since our last Invision Insight (beware, it's a long list!):
See you in the community and next week right here for another Invision Insight! I look forward to hearing from you all!
    Thank you everyone! 🦘

GazzaGarratt reacted to SeNioR- in More buttons in the editor
The editor displays buttons for each screen resolution. When editing a thread on a desktop, we see a limited number of buttons for mobile devices. The editor has a lot of free space on the toolbar, it should be filled to the maximum.

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.
We look forward to further assisting you.

I have this basically done for 4.7 except I didn't test with php 8 yet and having a situation to even be able to use php 8 (long story).
edit: as I test this and use it for the first time in a while, this is a nifty system if I do say so myself. lol. You can set it to use weeks but just call them something else such as stages of the world cup, for instance, to split up the games. Also someone had me add in some features I forgot about since it's been so long... Options to allow predicting exact scores, tournament winner, top scorer in tournament, etc...

I'd agree 100% with a toggle option for RSVP. Its my number 1 reason why I have to monitor every event as most people accidentally miss that they need to switch it to 'on'.

GazzaGarratt reacted to Richard Arch in RSVP reserve list
The latest November 2022 Release video, Charles mentioned some new features that are being planned, such as paid events and RSVP like tickets.
With that in mind, could you add a reserve list to the RSVP when there are limited spaces?  So that when someone drops out, the next member on the reserve list takes their place and the system sends them a notification.
My community would hugely benefit from this as members plan their own small events which have limited spaces and there are nearly always others wanting to join if someone who has said they are going but later cant make it and drop out.  It would really help with organising these events and make it fair for others.

Just some suggestions, not sure if they exist.
Option to default the check box to on for online event and RSVP:

This is to help ensure members go this route for engagement and see the online event url box. Especially if mostly online events in the community.
Also better block to use in the suite like:

In Invision Community's November Release Live Webinar, we discuss a few key features included in the next platform update.

@Charles gave us a review of some new moderation actions and more additions to our Events App.
We also covered the switch to PHP8 that is effective with this release.

Also, thank you David for your question! We are excited to bring the functionality for "paid events" to the Events App. This is in the early planning stages but we are happy to tease such a wonderful addition since it is "in the works". 🎉

Do you have a question about the November 2022 release? Feel free to ask in this topic.
Did you miss the webinar? No worries. We uploaded the video session for you to watch:

    Yes.
Yes, you can use it with older versions of PHP and IPS. Since you saw such a customized widget somewhere, could you please send me a screenshot? Thank you.
This is a planned feature and you can expect in an update soon.
This is fixed in Invision Community 4.7.4.

GazzaGarratt reacted to opentype in Pages Feature requests: Improving filters
Since I am using Pages databases a lot, I always run into the same problems. Here are two related to filters. (I could probably add more, but I was dealing with these recently.)
    Checkbox as a filter.
This option is unfortunately missing. I often need to give optional filter choices, e.g. as here on Amazon:

With Pages, there is no option to do this. The Yes/No field isn’t optional. Using it would only ever allow one choice in the filter set (Yes or No). Filtering across all records without a choice for this field would become impossible. So it’s almost unusable. The Checkbox Set for some reason can be used as expected, but it only makes sense for multiple choices per field. For one field, it would still create the “select all/none” interface.
Solution: Allow checkbox field to be a filter, where no selection doesn’t do anything and a selection show all records with this checkbox checked.
    Pages relationship fields as filter.
I always struggle with this one as well. This field makes Pages database so powerful and gives us a competitive advantage over other software.
Filters per radio, select box and so on are fine when there is a fixed set of options the admin can set up in advance. But what if that is not the case? What if the list of options needs to grow and needs their own database entries as well? For example, the publishers and authors of a book database. If they are set up as related databases, it’s impossible to filter the book records, because the relationship field cannot be used as a filter. But it is something users would expect.
Solution: Allow the relationship field to be used as filter with one or multiple options.

    Happy Hump Day! Sort of…
I have a bit of news to share with you: this will be my last Hump Day as I am stepping down from Invision Community. 😢
I am transitioning to a new role at Amazon. I’ll be creating content and engagement solutions for AWS.
I’d like to take a moment to thank this community for welcoming me with open arms. When I first started my journey as an Invision Community team member, I focused on community advocacy and connecting clients with the team. We quickly realized my, um... exuberance was better suited in marketing and sales.
Creating content around Invision Community opened my eyes even further to how brilliantly crafted this platform is and the team behind it.
I've also genuinely enjoyed communicating with industry professionals every day who showed interest in adding a community component to their business.
So many incredible Achievements (😏) happened along the way; I’m grateful I was a part of Invision Community’s success as we blazed through the 20-year anniversary. 🎉
Now, you won’t be rid of me entirely. My own community, BreatheHeavy, will still remain on the Invision Community platform. I look forward to staying connected with all of you here!
Thank you for engaging and interacting with me these last few years.
Please feel free to PM me here if you have any feedback, questions or well wishes. 😃
I want to give a special thanks to @Charles for being my mentor and seeing potential in me (even when I didn't).
And before I go, here’s a list of updates and changes made to the platform in the last seven days:

    Thank you, 🙏
