Okey dokey.
Unfortunately $40/year is more than I'd like to pay for a little circle (the one this thread is about also indicated whether they were on a computer, a mobile phone, etc.).

Quick and easy fix. FTP required.
Download applications / awards / tasks / autoAwardRules.php and find:
public function execute() { foreach( \IPS\awards\Rule::roots() as $rule ) Change to:
public function execute() { $rules = array(); foreach( \IPS\awards\Rule::roots() as $rule ) Save and upload.

@All Astronauts Can we also add the features from this plugin?
And of course the old online indicator plugins too.

That developer is long gone.
A new version is here.

On 4.7.2 and PHP 8.1, running the autoAwardRules (I have none) results in an error:
TypeError: count(.): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given (0)
#0 /path/to/files/system/Task/Task.pho(274): IPS\awards\tasks\ autoAwardRules->execute()
#1 /path/to/files/applications/core/modules/admin/settings/advanced.php(754): IPS\_Task->run()
#2 /path/to/files/system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(107):IPS\core\modules\admin\settings\_advanced->runTask()
#3 /path/to/files/applications/core/modules/admin/settings/advanced.php(38): IPS\Dispatcher\ Controller-›execute()
#4 /path/to/files/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(153):IPS\core\modules\admin\settings\_advanced->execute()
#5 /path/to/files/admincp/index.php(13): IPS\ Dispatcher->run()
#6 {main}
Latest version of the awards app, of course. Otherwise, it is working fine.

Will this continue to work with the 4.7.x and PHP 8 changes that they're pushing? It still works, currently, it's just listed in this category:
9 Resources are not compatible and do not have compatible updates
This resource can be removed if not in use. It should be assumed that this resource will be disabled during upgrade if incompatible. If this is a resource you require, you may wish to postpone the upgrade. -

Yes, sometimes the marketplace approval can take awhile.
It appears to fix things here as well. Thank you @InvisionHQ.
Can I ask what the fix was (I develop software too, so just curious. Might be something as simple as a typo, or a PHP 7/8 thing… or a config issue that affects some like @Anyelica14 and I but not others… I don't know.)

Same here, yes. Can confirm. I didn't even think to look there.

Nothing I can do in the settings makes the awards show up like they previously did.
@InvisionHQ, what's up? You can see that none of them are showing here:
https://thesandtrap.com/forums/topic/96205-5-minutes-daily-practice-challenge/?do=getNewComment
I reverted my account (as an admin) to the default theme. It too failed to display any of the awards in the "postbit" or the signature area where they were showing.
My settings are unchanged and should display the awards:
I don't even see them trying to be rendered. There's no HTML for them, so it's not like my custom.css is at fault (nor would that be a factor in the Default, unmodified theme).
So, what's up? This update seems to have broken things.

iacas got a reaction from Clover13 in Upgrade to 4.6.12 issue
@Jim M, actually this is worse than I thought when I posted the above.
I have a site at evolvr.com and it has a subscription option which I turned on via the setting in the image below:
I've had to disable that feature because it's not doing what it says: "force a purchase when registering." I've had previously subscribed (and already registered members) who should have access to some things on the forum get stuck in the "reload loop" of just being force-fed the /subscriptions/ page even though I have some open areas of the site AND they've already registered, so they should be able to see the content they created when they had a subscription… they just can't create new content.
This feature which used to "work" as expected is now what I consider to be "broken." At the best it's mislabeled - and I'm of the opinion that previously registered users shouldn't need to see only /subscriptions/ when they're returning to the site, trying to log out, etc. Nor that admins should need to be added to "subscribers" to see their own site.

In the next release it will be changed to something like this instead
That should be easier to navigate.
Not pushing out an update just for this right now. It'll be part of an upcoming maintenance release.

It sounds like your member group needs to have permission to access it.
ACP > Members > Members > Groups
Select the group that should have access to the Source button. Enable "Can post HTML".

iacas got a reaction from sobrenome in Auto Welcome Support
I think I get a lot of guests triggering things. Normally a welcome DM has the user's name in it. This is on my other site, thesandtrap.com. Those are all messages to members who are guests.
So this seems to be "bad" behavior on both sites. It's just that on the one site, the AutoWelcome is set to create a topic, and on the other it's escaped notice longer because guests can create a post (it isn't shown unless they successfully register), but a topic isn't created for them.
