PrettyPixels reacted to Jordan Miller in Reactions in private messages
Hey there,
I'd love to see Reactions implemented into private messages.
My staff and I use Messages to communicate, and some times I would prefer to "like" their comment to acknowledge I've seen their message versus having to reply every time.
Thoughts?

PrettyPixels reacted to crazzzydave in Google AMP Support
I am all for progress in web design, but am sick of everything having to conform to what Google wants. As a company, I do not like Google or the way it works so I for one am pleased this hasn't been added in to IPS software. Who decided Google was boss?

We have not announced AMP support for 4.5 is not "4.5 will not support AMP"

PrettyPixels reacted to ahc in Account Credit Suggestions
If any third party developers can create a plugin/app that does these, I'd be your first customer! I still think it should be included in the Commerce app by default, but I don't expect this to be done anytime soon if considered. We're working on releasing a user-to-user marketplace and the current state of Account Credit is a little too basic and we need more fund security for buyers and sellers.
Tagging some that I purchase the most from: @Makoto @Adriano Faria @Fosters

PrettyPixels reacted to ahc in Account Credit Suggestions
Here are a few suggestions for the Account Credit feature in Commerce.
Limit how many withdrawals someone can make per day/week/month. Set a "pending" period for withdrawing recent commissions. (ex: If you set a pending period for 3 days, any money/account credit a member has received in the previous 72 hours from withdrawal date cannot be withdrawn.) Only show the currency the member has selected. Having a long list of 0.00 currencies that a member doesn't use and will probably never receive creates unnecessary clutter. -
PrettyPixels reacted to Jimi Wikman in Multiple versions of applications?
I see the potential to use Clubs in more ways than just as community enhancements so I wonder if you have considered allowing multiple versions of it being installed in one license?
For example I might want to use clubs for listing software or services, but I also want a community enhancement as the default clubs. This is currently not possible and I would have to create a database with tabs that bring in forums for the default forum rather than isolated forums as I can in clubs?
I think this can be useful for other applications as well, but clubs is what I would love to see right now 🙂

PrettyPixels reacted to BomAle in Taxonomy for categories and tags and MORE
Hello I would suggest a improvement for categories and tags introducing taxonomy concept:
1. assign a basic structure, not a simple tree but a network model
2. extending it on posting new content
3. custom fields relationship useful for feedback/survey
4. define upsell, alternative, raccomanded content
5. multiple author/group for single posts/comment (relationship with other members share same/similar content)
This could improve the understanding of the order of things inside the community with some schema visualization and a genuine growth of it
Benefits: increase findability of content, great addition to Zapier @Matt, multilingual community thank you for it

PrettyPixels reacted to AlexWebsites in Add subscriptions page to registration process
Please consider adding the subscriptions page to the registration process without forcing users to purchase a subscription.
Maybe after quick registration (via IPS or social connect), redirect the member to the subscription page to view available subscriptions and a link below the packages to continue without subscribing (similar to products). Maybe a plugin can do this by a developer.
Right now, I see no way of building in subscriptions during the registration process without forcing users to pick a package. But then if you offer a free membership, you need to create package for this which might not be the best solution at $0.00.

PrettyPixels reacted to JoshB84 in Please add Categories to Clubs
I know not everyone will have so many Clubs they will require categories. Still some of us would find it useful to be able to categorize our Clubs.
[edit]
Before someone suggest making a custom page using Pages. I would say then could we atleast have tags added to Clubs then?

PrettyPixels reacted to Kirill Gromov in Custom fields everywhere
Hey, IPS, you must do it! This is a good part of any community.
You do a great job for us, but we do not have a some functionality, for example we want to create topics with custom template with fields. We want to create events with Database Relationship field to retrieve data from the Pages and etc.
Is it planned to do this in the future?

PrettyPixels reacted to kmk in Custom fields everywhere
+1 I have the 3party app too, but it nothing to compare with ips packaged.
Please consider this functionality to add more plus to core software.

PrettyPixels got a reaction from IncredibleIPS in Custom fields everywhere
Sorry for the necrobump on this topic, but I'd really love to see the option for custom fields in threads, too. Any chance of seeing this in 4.5? 🙂

True
Personally, I never understood by IPS didn't allow custom fields everywhere, only in certain apps like Pages and Downloads.

PrettyPixels reacted to Allegheny in Extra Fields search is useless/do not work the way it is
I agree 100%.
What it's forced me to do is put everything in the main body / description so it will be included in a search. Which does get around the search problem but wrecks any idea of having certain types of data separated out for uniformity and other database type purposes. Like you said.... pretty much useless.
Which also begs the question.... The solution to not include extra fields in search results only speeds things up by having less data to process (odd solution for a search problem, as we want data and content). But, since that forces us to put the data in an area that is indexed, the net result is the same (performance wise). Sadly, this decision just causes us harm as now instead of having clean, uniform database like structures - we are basically left with the equivalent of static html pages.
It causes us a whole lot of extra work and we loose all the benefits of a database.

PrettyPixels got a reaction from Silnei L Andrade in Forum Sidebar
@Fosters - I'm looking for this same thing - the ability to add blocks in the spots above and under forums/threads, in addition to the sidebar. Depending on cost, I may be willing to sponsor the initial development of this feature. Please let me know if this is something you'd consider.

PrettyPixels reacted to Adriano Faria in Error with furl changes
You can change the furl.json file in the applications/APP/data folder and rebuild cache later. But I'm not sure it works.

Hello @Foster
I need the function that indicates @Silnei L Andrade

PrettyPixels reacted to Silnei L Andrade in Forum Sidebar
Very cool, but is it possible in future versions to be able to insert the blocks below the list of forums in the categories as shown in the arrow in the figure below?

Would also love to see this for Amazon SES.

PrettyPixels reacted to Morgin in Why not offer push notifications solution
I suspect most of us like having users who keep our communities viable. >50% of mine use iOS to access via mobile browser. I don’t give a sh*t about android vs iOS or people’s inane fanboyism, I just want to service my users.

PrettyPixels reacted to stoo2000 in Mail Bouncer - Automated Bounce Management
SES is coming but not immediately (I'm on vacation at the moment).
If you uninstall emails will send normally, but you'll also lose any historical bounce/block information that may be useful when you switch to SES. Leaving it enabled won't hurt anything even if you stop using Sparkpost, end-users that have already had their emails blocked will continue to get their emails blocked until they update their email address (so that aspect will still work based on data already processed)

PrettyPixels reacted to Sonya* in Club Categories ( Support Topic )
I am not sure if you aware of: on mobile the categories are shown BELOW the clubs list. It should be above as nobody would scroll down in the hope to find category selector

PrettyPixels reacted to AlexWebsites in Mail Bouncer - Automated Bounce Management
Sparkpost is depreciating their free service which means time to move on. Was this ever made to work with Amazon SES?
