Can we fast-track some of the updates approval processes for verified/ trusted creators? The wait for IPS verification on simple bug fixes r/t software updates for some of these apps can be extremely long and impact our communities negatively while we wait. Seems like there are plenty of content creators here that regularly submit working, verified apps that would be safe to allow on some sort of fast-track as opposed to unknown submitters.

Try disabling the sticky note plugin and see if the error stops.

Believe there is a misunderstanding here, that message is coming from your server, not our software. Therefore, something on the server is causing this message to appear. Perhaps, it is hitting some limit which is configured. Server diagnostics is outside our scope of support so your hosting provider would need to investigate why you are getting a 429 Too Many Requests message. Even if our software is the root of the issue, your hosting provider would need to provide supporting logs to detail that.
Without the 429 error gone or some logs pointing towards a software fault, we are unable to move forward in assisting you.

You would simply create a new language. It will install an unmodified language.

That’s because you’re in 4.7 but the resource is 4.6 yet. You have to ask to the dev to make it compatible with 4.7 then it will show up in your ACP.

No don't use her, see will take you money and you will have trouble getting the theme updated and have no support. 
 

We have the Alert system active on our site, yes, but I think we've only tested it and not had a real use for it just yet.
The author of the alert doesn't see it again because they are the one who created it. They already know what it contains. 🙂

You are on self hosted, not on our cloud product. So you will not see this. You would need to be using our cloud product to see this

use the news ticker widgets
you can add multiple news ticker widgets and i think if you add a ips widget in forums, then it will only show in forums 👍

I don't understand the logic of making it free so that you can always support it. I would have thought it would be the other way round – but maybe I have misunderstood something.

Anyway, here's some feature requests:

It would be nice to be able to configure some of the ticker messages as only being visible to certain people – unregistered, site team, ordinary users, people with more than XX posts or people with less than XX posts – et cetera.
It would be nice to be able to put timers on to some of the messages so that the ticker is less repetitive. So some of the individual messages would appear for an hour every three or four hours and then replaced by another one which would go on for some designated amount of time – et cetera. Colour changes – automated. Date changes – so, for instance, a Christmas message comes up the day before Christmas and last a couple of days. New Year's messages, Valentine's Day messages – everything to be designated by the admin. The idea is to keep it dynamic so that there is often something new to look at.

While I've got you, feast your eyes on the latest round of updates/changes to the platform in the last week (btw, I hope you've updated to our latest release, 4.6.11!).

I found that the global template is the one change that seems to be affecting this.  IF you ensure that the global template does not have any changes to it (revert it prior to upgrade) and set it as default prior to upgrading you will be OK, but any other themes that have global template changes made will show this error.

You would click on "Add theme" in the them area to create a new theme

We've re-added the method we removed for the final release (it will be removed again in a future version), but I would still strongly recommend that everyone check their customised templates when they upgrade and implement any changes.
