Sorry. That may have been confusing. We create a notification when we create a new support request. If we need to contact members, we do it through the support request system. We do not currently send a notification when we make moderation actions or respond to reported content, but we'd like that feature as well as you've described.
Rather than send out an e-mail, our request for @DawPi is to integrate with the support request system so that a request is logged and viewable within the support request section of ACP.

My site staff are constantly getting moaned at for doing their job. Why did you hide my post? Where has my comment gone? Why have you created a new topic?
It seems ludicrous that there's no way of notifying the members why something has been done without sending PM's everywhere.
We're now trying to combat the lack of notifications by utilising the warning system but desperately need some way of notifying the user that a post has been split to a new topic at xyz, or a post has been hidden because it breaches guidelines, ideally without using PM's.

Did you recently upgrade / move from using Advanced Tags & Prefixes to Radical Tags?
Can you send me a PM here and set me up with temporary AdminCP access? I can have this resolved for you in a few minutes.

So not e-mail but build in inline notifications for example? Would be enough for you?

The app is not officially compatible with 4.5 currently. It may work without issue but I will be reviewing shortly and releasing a confirmed compatibility update in the next couple of weeks.

Is it possible to set this up using notifications rather than PM's?

    @bfarber
Any update as to when this will be fixed?
I need to clarify too.... on my site I have both forum and database sections.   It used to be that I could copy a member's write-up in the forum and paste it into a database section as a record.   The text AND images would show up.  ( The images were originally uploaded in forum).  But now when I copy and paste, the images  just show up as links.

Why are invisioncommunity devs so blind for webp?

It's not like it requires any other extra work, since the compression of webp is already existant by nature.
Simply allowing webp by default shouldn't be the biggest deal, or is it?
It's already widely accepted by all major browsers, so there's no excuse on that anymore, especially not since you dropped IE support yourselfs.
But still, every request and any conversation about webp have either been put down, or ignored.

Could we please get an explanation why you're so anti-fast-web?
I'm honestly wondering why is that.

I'm also wondering if the spacer.png image load implementation is still best practice either.
Wouldn't it make more sense to add native lazy loading instead?
Really keen to live up to todays SEO standards and performance requirements.

What about if some just wants to do a refresh and start again?  There will always be pros and cons and there will always be those who will provide an answer that is not necessarily something that others are prepared to carry out or have the ability to do so, for whatever reason.  The point here is that you have purchased something from a third party that is now conditional on having an active IPS license if you want to use it again

That is the point, there is no reason to deny downloading as well as using the Marketplace in the ACP - this is not an 'instead of' but an 'as well as'.
That's severe and a little over the top, but I do understand the sentiment lol.

Totally agree. You buy an APP, you retain the right to use it, regardless of having an active IPS licence.

Having the marketplace inside of the application in the ACP is a good idea, but - access to the marketplace is governed by having a current license renewal in place.  This means that if a license has expired and the user does not wish to renew at this point in time (for whatever reasons), if their site has a catastrophic failure and they need to reinstall from scratch, the applications they have purchase which need to be reinstalled, what happens to them?  Will they be available in the ACP or will they need to renew their license before they can access what they have paid for?
I believe that the option to install from the ACP should be retained as it's helpful, but the option to download what you have paid for should also be made available.  After all, it is we the users who have paid for this app or plugin.  Thoughts?

I don't use Nginx or a cloud server, but why bother even caching it if you only cache it for 1 minute, or 30 seconds? What is the point? The cache output for guests is to reduce resources. I assume the cached pages are created, for example, when bots crawl pages, or user do. When other request a page that has been visited in the last 15 minutes, in my case, they will get a cached version. I this is set to only 1 minute, the likely hood of serving a cached page is pretty small I think.

    Oh, of course... My bad.
    ☝️➕"allow remote images" = false

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UT8RkSmN4k
In 4.4, this was not the case. In 4.5, it was a surprise change.
I understand the logic behind it if it was intentional, yet this took us a few hours of combing through source code to determine why things were not working. I can see the use case for "hey, I want pretty embeds for the special sites, but don't let anyone paste a remotely hosted image from elsewhere."
    You have a super day!

optrexnz reacted to ChrisTERiS in Close Club if owner does not renew his subscription
Scenario: "A member pays a recurring fee to upgrade to a Usergroup to get permissions to create a club. On the renewal date he does not pays anything, the system drop him back to Member usergroup but he can continue administrating his club (and most probably earning money from club members)".
Question: Is this logic? I think no. Even in real life when someone rents an apartment, shop, office etc, the owner kicks him out if he does not pays the rental fees.
Solution: I'll not suggest a complicated procedure like "Allow the club to work as normal, bur restrict Administration functions". A very simple solution is "Close the Club (disable access and joins), showing a message Club is under maintenance. This will push the club creator to renew his subscription. Maybe an advanced feature is a new Yes/No setting in subscription (in the place with upgrade/downgrade usergroup) "Close any clubs" should gives more flexibility.
