Big thanks to @Daniel F for fixing the issues. He's the greatest of the greatest.

As some of you may already know, I'm supporting  @TheJackal84's file since March, 19. We started to talk about this deal on Feb, 21. So in this regard, I would like to state publicity that I am not getting the expected return/attention from TheJackal84, which has not:
given me the list of purchasers of the resources in his website. So what it has to do you with you? I'm not able to add a purchase here on IPS so you can keep downloading updates, if you purchased it there. Why I can't? Because I can't simply trust in words from everyone that requests files. I need to make sure you purchased and when they will expire. Just checked his website and his community doesn't exists anymore: https://flashmodding.com/. If it was there yet you would just need to take a screenshot from the Manage Purchases page. So you can still prove your purchase by sending a PM with the PayPal purchase, etc. In sign of good faith, I will add a full year of support to the proven resources, without take the renewal date in consideration. provided the XML from the plugins, which we can't download from the new marketplace (4.5), so there's no way for me to support these resources now. I will try to get them with IPS (I will speak directly to Lindy). I would also like to inform you that there are other pending issues that are not relevant for this matter but they definitely exists.
    Thank you.

It looks like a case of missing files. How did you upload them, through a ftp program?

    Try:
select * from core_plugins where plugin_id = 42; You will get the plugin title.

No, the only "default" hooks are for our first party applications, which would not populate the plugin column but rather the application column.
That said, the issue could also be caused by an out of date template. You may need to revert the template in question if it is modified.
  7. Thanks
Ramsesx reacted to Daniel F in Template error
Yea, that's def. caused by a hook. You can identify the broken app or plugin by checking the core_hooks table for id= 383

In my experience, those expectations are reasonable but unrealistic. There are so many plugins and themes that were never updated that we could write a telephone book with the list...

Go to Instagram and copy the embed code of any post. In the code you will find the URL of the post too, for example https://www.instagram.com/p/CHgGzVBlhip/
Change that to https://www.instagram.com/p/{option}/ (multiple times). Edit other parts you don't want/need (like title, whatever).
The go to Editor -> Toolbars -> Add Button. Use option and paste your edited HTML code.
When you want to insert a post from Instagram, klick the new button and put the ID in the popup, in this case CHgGzVBlhip.
The result looks like this ...

That's how our forefathers did it before automatic embedding
Like said this is only a temporary solution, but works just fine.

Ramsesx reacted to Davyc in Pages SuperGrid support
These are sections based on the IPS grid system with the widths set as percentages.  If you create two new CSS classes to control the widths you can determine what widths you'd like them set at; copy these and add them to your custom CSS file:
This controls the left column - the width shown is what it is currently set at.
.SG_record_left.ipsGrid_span3.ipsSpacer_top.ipsType_right.ipsResponsive_hidePhone { width: 23.404255319148934% !important; } This controls the right and similarly it is shown with the current width setting.
.SG_record_right_with_image.ipsGrid_span9.ipsAreaBackground_reset { width: 74.46808510638297% !important; } By changing the width percentages, you can determine how wide each of them will be; a little experimentation will get you where you want to be.
    Hope this helps 🙂

To be honest, apps and plugins that get abandoned are one prime reason we need a way to sensibly obtain the files to fix issues ourselves if we want. I know many wont have the skills to do that but as someone who has patched abandoned plugins for vbulletin for years I think we as customers of plugins should have some ability to get plugins manually.
We are customers, pirates will always find a way to do what they want and they arent all lost sales but causing issues for customers will lead to lost sales. Always think of those that are prepared to pay over the concerns of those that would never pay.

Lindy. I appreciate you taking the time to respond as well. I agree that this change is useful as it will help novice and less technical users with preventing breakages. However, I do hope that the team will find time to offer the alternative of manual downloads that we have been very much used to, especially for us who like to set up third-party applications before launching our communities or those of us who run intranet-only sites. To me, it seems that with every major release, there are always about three features removed or new restrictions put in place that limit the control of our own communities. From what I've seen from all my years here, it is very rare that a feature is brought back or a restriction is lifted. And, I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard there was even a rule forbidding mod developers from reintroducing removed features. Furthermore, changes like this make me miss the days of third-party marketplaces such as Invisionize where I could select the version of applications I wanted all without having to worry about keeping my license current or the application being delisted simply because it wasn't updated for the latest version. There are apps that I've even paid for here that are just removed at the staff's discretion. It just seems that IPS is becoming a controlling monopoly in regards to marketplace applications.
I like that there's at least this positive aspect. I was also a bit worried that there would be alot of hassle in this situation. Although, I do find it a bit overreaching to revoke someone's license because they broke a third-party software's license terms.

I don't think it's the issue that you can't point to the marketplace. It's the issue that you can't download and inspect the packages directly from IPS any more. There's now a requirement that the test install have internet access and that you install things before inspecting them, and for localhost installs, you can't install and test applications and plugins published by the community (without a roundabout process of installing in test and then extracting the resource).
For many communities, plug and play is probably just fine. But it's not serving the needs of those clients that have more stringent policies or requirements that they follow in the development lifecycle. Now, there's an extra step of using a test install to acquire files rather than being able to download and inspect them as before (or put them in a virtual localhost environment).
The IPS marketplace should have a download button for 4.5 resources, and have its current integration as well. Go install from your ACP, or download here. That would be ideal.
Just to add for context, we've purchased, downloaded, and installed a few applications and plugins from IPS Marketplace that, when tested in our local environments, we quickly identified conflicts, issues, and breaking changes that would degrade our member experience and/or simply not work at the scale of a community the size of ours. We identified issues that would have otherwise taken down our production copy and/or production installs due to things like altering the core_members table rather than having an application/plugin specific table. Whatever checks of things (if any--I'm not sure) happening at IPS, they're insufficient for our needs, and we have a duty to our stakeholders to test things and ensure they're ready for our environment and configuration.
This change is an obstacle to that process. We have a workaround, yet it's needlessly causing us to install things in test and have to revert that environment after the fact when our workflow of installing in a local dev first and doing comparisons was much preferred.

As recommended, I'm creating this topic to reinstate the option to download files manually from the Marketplace.
It's bad enough you don't allow the download of apps we purchased when our licence has expired. But, to completely change the way file downloads are handle is a little much.

Please don't get me wrong, I love the idea that we can now do it all with ACP, but you shouldn't disable/change the way that a lot of us download files for localhost setups to test our sites before going live.

Please, please, please allow the option to download files manually like we've done for so many years!

We have talked about hashtags a lot internally over the years.

The core issue is that we're just not sure how useful they are on a forum. They work on Twitter because it's the only way to create a 'channel' of similar discussions. There is no other way to separate out conversations. So adding the tag makes it clear you're talking about that topic.

Obviously, with a forum you have categories, forums and topics. Adding a hashtag would be largely superfluous.

We have a tagging system for content already, and I would say that 98% of Invision Communities do not use it, and of the 2%, a small handful use it in a meaningful way that aids content discovery.

Hashtags are often mistyped further diluting the usefulness. Using your example, on twitter I've seen:

    #blacklivematter
    #blacklivesmatters
    #blm
    #blackouttuesday

Twitter actually is smart enough to know these are largely the same topic, so you will often see something like:

    Trending
    #Blacklivesmatter
    Also talking about: #blm, #blackouttuesday

That's a great system but takes a lot of AI/human collating and computing power.

So our current position is simply that adding hashtags won't really increase content discovery in any meaningful way.

Facebook has hashtags but almost no one uses them.

Most hashtags are added for irony, like:

We're not going to add hashtags into 4.5

    #sorryNotSorry

This creates a bunch of records and consumes a chunk of computing power and database size for almost no purpose at all.
