It depends on the outcome of the betas, to be honest. At the moment we are also coming up to multiple holidays, which will of course slow things down a little

It works for some, but not others. What version of PHP are you using? I think there's an issue with 8.3 and delta zips.

Nothing in 2024 due to the holidays. But we'll keep moving forward with beta releases. We're also profiling v5 on very large sites to ensure that it's all running well. You'll notice some optimisation stuff in the release notes for beta 6.

After replacing all files extracted from the zip, now visiting the page it say HTTP ERROR 500, I am missing some steps?

BETA 5 I get this, now I get this for BETA 6

 

I get this for every Beta since Beta 1.

My dev environment uses PHP 8.3.13

That'll be the issue Matt references. There's a known issue with PHP 8.3 that can prevent the admincp upgrade working, it also affects version 4. It's on our radar but we haven't got a fix for it yet. PHP 8.2 should work fine for upgrades (PHP 8.3 has zip library changes)

Just for visibility, I am having the same issue on my end. If I switch to PHP 8.2 to upgrade, will that cause site issues?
