Twitter old logo

Balto

Recommended Posts

Hello,

If I go to AdminCP-System-Settings-General Configuration, I see this:

Could contain: Page, Text, File, Webpage

Adding a Twitter page will show this on the Home page:

Could contain: Logo

As you all know, the Twitter logo (and name) has changed, and most of the websites have now adapted the logo to the new one. When do you plan to update this as well?

Same should be done from the Block Manager:

Could contain: Text

Which right now is showing this:

Could contain: Text

Thank you in advance!

The current IPS version supports only Font Awesome 4.7, in which the new X logo does not exist.

You would have to upgrade to the latest Font Awesome (either via plugin or manually) and then you can add the social button yourself.

I wrote an article a few years ago how to do this easily, even without plugin ...

CSS styles should allow you to change its position.

Thank you! But I would prefer to avoid editing CSS code for this. I hope Invision Community will be able to change the logo, the old Twitter logo is not useful anymore.

I have the social logos at the bottom of the board. The X logo (black circle,white X) doesn't line up with the others. It's too high.

Could contain: Logo, Hockey, Ice Hockey, Ice Hockey Puck, Rink, Skating, Sport

Is this just me? It's the same on the IPS Support theme.

Twitter (X) is shown exactly like this, not inline with the others.

I have noticed this too. it seems a bit off to be exactly aligned. following can fix the alignment issue for position bottom, until permanent fix to be released. just add to your custom.css

#elFooterSocialLinks {
  display: flex;
  justify-content: center;
  gap: 2px;
}

Could contain: Logo, Text
