Hi all, Hopefully this is in the correct thread! I have unearthed a 'duplicate page content' issue on our forum whereby the page ending / is the same page as /?page=1 If that has confused you, let me try to explain a little better... Take this forum thread; http://www.bolsovercruiseclub.com/forum/topic/1419-your-first-pop-concert/The above URL and; http://www.bolsovercruiseclub.com/forum/topic/1419-your-first-pop-concert/?page=1...are the same page and so create a 'duplicate page content' issue... This I believe is affecting every forum post and so creating a vast number of errors... Does anyone know of a fix or maybe a plugin? Many thanks AC

Hello! I have been getting this error for quite a while and I'm not really sure how to fix it. The error usually comes up if someone searches something or clicks the topic tags. What can I do to stop this error? I'm running CentOS 6.6 with MySQL 5.1.73 & PHP 5.3. Thank you!

I have a couple of ip addresses that are using lots of resources. For example, this one. http://anti-hacker-alliance.com/index.php?details=136.243.5.215 How do block this IP to stop it from driving up my average users which determines by monthly bill? I banned one in the ACP under the members tag but it didn't do anything. The offending IP just kept driving up traffic with the same IP. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I am currently removing the SSL certificate from my board and I got stuck at redirecting all the HTTPS url's to HTTP. Now, I have the code, which I had in initdata.php for redirecting all HTTP traffic to HTTPS, but now I need to do the opposite. We are in a time of year when we will see a big increase in traffic for a few weeks. Even in performance mode the site is lagging too much. Any help with the issues? I am using the Mandrill email app with our 3.4 community, and I'd like to know if any Mandrill users here have found a way to clean up the "From" field in the recipients inboxes. My from "From" field looks like this administrator@mail128-132.atl41.mandrillapp.com; on behalf of; administrator@thepatriotwoodworker.com instead of simply From: administrator@thepatriotwoodworker.com Any help or ideas on how to change this to pretty up the from field is greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'm trying to upgrade using the automatic upgrade but it keeps telling me that the ftp credentials are incorrect. They're not. I've checked them over and over again. The only think I can think is that I have the path to the directory wrong. My forum is in a folder called 'forum' and it's in the 'public_html' directory. I assume I just write public_html/forum for the path. Is that right? KL

Hi When my server was set up the admin set up the MYSQL database as latin1_swedish_c1. I understand the database, tables and columns will be set this way, as will stored data. What is the best way to convert it to UTF8 and set that as the default? The forums are mid sized. I discovered the issue when preparing to move hosting from an apache linux set up to a windows IIS set up. During testing I received driver errors when rebuilding the html and rebuilding the skins, and when running diagnostics on database checker and database index checker I get a simple "page cannot display" message. Hello! Can someone explain to me why my server load moves from 4.3 to 9.0 & from 9.0 to 15.3 and back & forth? Seems very abnormal to me? I have a lot of httpd processes running as Nobody and the site has become slow. I'm really not sure what's causing this but it is becoming very stressing.. :/ Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

STOP.. Before you start to tell me how to do it.. I can not even find my way around this stupid new forum. I had a glitch with my skin several months ago and I was able to find my way to the skin designer and found out what to do to fix it. Now with this new screwed up forum I can not find anything. Just a mess. I have about a dozen websites hosted on hostway.com. I now have a server on namecheap. I need someone who can transfer them for me.

Hello! Does someone know which is the best way to backup only the database without downtime? Downloading the whole site backup has become very big in size so I want to download the database more often than all the other files. I usually back it up using cPanel with the database download option but that gives an SQL error while the database is downloading so I was wondering if there was a better way? Preferably in the sql.gz format but all other will do aslo. Thank you.

Hi I run my IBP forum on a dedicated server, we have no other sites sharing resources, just one IPB forum The forum has around 4 million posts and 60,000 members with an average at anyone time of around 300 members and 8 or 900 guests online our server specs are Most of the time the site runs fine, uploads are quick, posts are made fast but for the last couple of months several times a day our mysql db seems to spiral out of control, eats up all of the processor power quickly followed by all the ram until it becomes completely unresponsive, sometimes it bounces back up after a few minutes, other times it can be out for several hours and we have to restart mysql and apach…

Hello ! I have a large number of forums and catégories on my board and,now, I can no longer modify a member group permissions : I uncheck/check the boxes for permissions in the ACP and everything seems to work fine, but it doesn't keep the changes. The first time this happened to me, I was told it was likely I was running into a limitation of my server (Centos 6.6 - 64 Gb RAM - 12 processors), max_allowed_packets or max variables. So, I changed php memory_limit value to 128M and it fixed the problem. But now, using a higher value for memory_limit doesn't help fixing the problem. Is there something else I can try ? (apart from removing a few categories) …

Hi all I'm in the process of optimising a somewhat large IPB forum, I've installed Xcache and enabled it within the IPB config file, but users keep on getting logged out every now and again Disabling xcache and they're able to stay logged in I had the same issue with an Xenforo forum and adding a line to the config file to disable caching of sessions fixed it Any tips? Edit- Bit more information A friend of mine says it's because I have apache running as FastCGI as opposed to DSO He suggested changing to mod_ruid2 Any thoughts?

I'm going to use the IPS4 forums app as a support forum for groups of members. I want to group my members into around 1,000 groups each with a support forum. When the member logs into the site, I want them to see just a single support forum and never see any of the other support forums. Can IPS4 handle this many user groups and forums without slowing down? In reality, the site will only have 50 or 60 groups each with a support forum initially, but if, by some miracle, the site catches on (and goes world-wide) and I need to support up to 1,000 groups, will my site gradually slow down because IPS4 isn't implemented efficiently for 1,000 groups?
