I see there is a new Community Hive Block. I've tried to put it on the Index page, Articles page, Downloads page, Gallery page, etc, and it always tells me "This block cannot be displayed here". So where can it go?

Hi I recently was informed by one of my member that his forum/topics view looks weird with the side blocks below the replies, not to the side. I have a question about IPS Spam Defense and the GeoIP module. If I uncheck the Send repots back checkbox, exactly what data does IPS receive, is it stored and to which country is it sent? And what data IPS receives when I enable the GeoIP module? Sorry to ask this, but in the EU such a module in its current form is a bit difficult to use and we have problems with spam. I'm pretty sure I've just missed a setting, but for the life of me, I can't find it! I cannot get the option to copy a photo into a post/reply . . . anything. It just copies a link that ends up not being an active link. Help. 🙂

I would like to create a group promotion rule that moves members from one group to another if a specific profile field is filled out (with any text). I have tried to enter the usual wildcard characters (*, %) in the relevant (text) field under the "Filters" Section. It appears that the group promotion isn't executed. I have checked the documentation if it mentions anything regarding the use of text fields in group promotions, but I haven't found anything relevant there.

I have had "products" for purchasing member badges and extra abilities as a member for a long time now. Probably when products first were a thing. I just noticed that in March 2023 products will be deprecated (see below). Question 1: I plan on moving to the cloud towards the end of the year -- probably in the Nov/Dec time frame. I have not set this up yet but will soon. With that said, do I need to do something before that with converting 3 "products" per forum (only 2 forums) to subscriptions before that? Question 2: I am retiring from running my forums and want to transfer things for both to a new owner at the time transferring 2 forums to the cloud with him…

Is it possible to remove the search box from the Nav Bar on a certain page? That probably sounds a bit odd, but I'm really playing with the possibility of using Pages to create our home page. However, the main part of our site is actually a non-Invision database of pins. Users are used to the search for that being on the front page at top right, so I'm wondering if it's possible to remove the Invision search option from a single page?

I'm absolutely thrilled with the options available for setting up subscriptions, and thanks to the Help Guides, I've got two tiers basically set up. We want to end up with three tiers, and one is the basic tier and always free. If a member joins the site, they're automatically in the "basic" tier. They don't have to purchase anything, so I've set it up as free. However, to get it to show on the page alongside the other two paid tiers, I have to enable purchases. Is there a way that all three options can show, but the "Subscribe Now" button on the first tier end up removed or greyed out . . . or something. I'm really open to options, but I'd like all three sitt…

I'm trying to get some Advertisements showing on the sidebar of the Forums area via Blocks. I've created a custom block (and think I've done it right, according to the Help Guides), but when I drag it over into the sidebar, this is what it says: Am I supposed to enable blocks somewhere?

I know that forum categories can be restricted to specified groups. However, is it possible for an administrator to assign topics/posts within categories to certain groups. (e.g. a member's topic might contain a discount code which should be hidden from guests) Thanks if you can help, Simon

Trying to follow the instructions in the Help Guides, but I must be doing something wrong. I've created an advertisement with this setting: The "Internal Advertising" help guide states that the tag necessary would be {advertisement="KEY"}, making it {advertisement="TinkAd1"}. Correct? When I set Pages as the Default App, rather than Forums, in the AdminCP all seems to work. However, when I go out to view the pages, they feature the forum links for "Home" and "Unread Content" and "Mark Site Read". How do I remove that? Playing with the idea that we should use IPS for our main page here, but I would like to be able to build a page without the forum-specific aspects.

Hi guys is there a way to toggle categories to be closed by default? One of our categories section has a long list of forums for each category and some categories are not relevant so to prevent scrolling down we would like to close some caetgories by default and let the user toggle the right category for them. thanks

I've been reading through the help guides and forum posts, and I've got a couple questions about Gift Cards. We're not planning on selling any physical items through the Commerce App, since I don't want to get into something that is soon to be removed. We're planning on having two subscription options that will be monthly tiers, only available on a month-by-month basis -- no annual purchase. Gift Cards are configured under Commerce/Store/Settings -- will they be able to apply to subscription payments? I'm imagining the possibility of one member wanting to gift another member with a subscription, so they could purchase the gift card of matching amount. Also…

I started an article (hidden) a little over a year ago and am now ready to publish it. I have since created a new category where that article belongs. If I publish (unhide) the article today, I want it to have today's date as the publication date, and I also want to move it to the correct category. How can I do that?
