I'm trying to set up a news section which is similar to https://invisioncommunity.com/news/ I created a database and attached few categories and I'm getting the following message "You have 2 categories in this database. You can only have 1 category to store records in the database directly. If you wish to disable category support please move articles to a single category and delete the no longer needed categories." I guess I have a couple of questions. 1. If I want a news page with multiple categories, I will need to have multiple databases acting as the categories on multiple pages? 2. Hi, I run a community with IPS 4 Suite - and it works super well (congrats for the great job!). In fact, it works so well that a sister community now wants to migrate from phpBB3 and merge with us. Can I "just" run the converter tool on their base, from my existing ACP? Will it preserve everything from my pre-existing community, while importing their data? If so, what will happen for duplicate users (same login and/or email)? Many thanks for your answer

Is there a capability for a member to see which calendar events they have RSVP'd to besides looking at each event individually? Right now we are having our membership signup for the iCalendar feed so they know of all upcoming events, but it would be a nice addition to have a "My RSVPs" iCalendar feed so that members can get reminders for events that they signed up?

Hello Community, I wonder if it is possible to set IPB up in a way that the starting page is a wall like application as on facebook, linkedin or buddypress? I know there is the social stream plugin by headstand, but despite the fact that it seems to get no updates, I think it works differently? I am looking for a way to not only have the content from the different parts of the community as a stream, but also give the users the possibility to post something in the stream. Like give a short update, ask for help, post a content piece etc. Have it more community like and interactive and not so "forum-like" on the front page. Can this be achieved? Or is th…

Sorry if this has been flogged so many times that it cannot get up, but I am curious as to whether there is an option (currently active, or a future feature) to limit the number of emails processed over a period of time. Currently we use Sparkpost - only because there was no way to limit sending out a bulk email to 500 addresses per hour with our host. If there was an option to limit how many emails get processed per hour, the need for a 3rd party provider wouldn’t be required. Allowing for the option of noreply@domain.com for any/all outgoing mail would be nice too.

I read that the gallery produces the EXIF information for photos. I'm using 4.3 beta and I'm not seeing any EXIF data displayed in the description or anywhere else after uploading. Or even in forum postings. Is there a setting in the AdminCP? I'm not seeing anything.

I've just noticed that when members upload images to an album set to "private", the action is announced to other members in the activity feed anyway. The photos don't show, but I would have thought that if the album is "private", no action that reveals the existence of that album should show in the activity feed at all (except to moderators/admins). Is this the normal behaviour or do I have something wrong in my installation?

How do I move comments from Topics (in clubs) or Forums to a plugin? Here is what I am dealing with at this moment: I can created a topic in clubs. There are many discussions in that topic. I then got the Tutorials application and now need to move those discussions to Tutorials. I imagine I would need to do this through the database but I am hoping there is an easier solution. If that is the only way to do it, what database tables and I looking for and should I do this through mysql or is there a safer way to do this through ACP?

I would like to give people a familiar feeling of being on their facebook homepage. The most similar thing I can think of is the users profile. Is there a way to set the users profile as the default home page for logged in users and clubs or something else as the default homepage for non-logged in users?

So, I recently purchased IP Board and I've worked with IPBoard before, and I have never had this problem before. As you can see, the body of the bulk mail is not showing, and it just has the "Drag Files here ..." bar and the "Tags" sidebar, which is squished. If I refresh the page, I can see the body and text editor for a split second and then it resets back to this (see picture above). Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

For the life of me, I cannot find where I can set members to be able to delete their own images and comments. The only settings I have under the Gallery tab when I go to group options are these: If someone can offer me guidance on where I can find the settings that allow members to delete their own images at least, I'd appreciate it.
