Link Previews?

Featured Replies

It shows exactly as it shows here in your post?

If you link to a content of your site it shows an embedded preview like this:

No, it doesn't. My first post even in this thread shows an underlined link rather than a preview. Am I missing a setting or something? Why do links convert to preview here for you but did not for me?

External links do not show a preview.
Internal links to content on your IPS installation do show a preview.

The link provided (which is internal, by the way, hence shows a preview) is to a topic asking for external links to be able to show a preview, which is what you are seeking here too.

This isn't working on my site. Are there any settings which have to be made to check? If not, any idea or steps I should take in making this happen?

Thanks,
William

It's magic!  Just kidding ....

1.  Make sure you link to content from within your own site (christforums.org)

2.  Make sure the link is on its own line.

You know if it's possible to fetch external links?

For your own development purposes, use CURL and then create the preview out of the resulting page.

Does the target site support oembed? If so, then it can be added using my oembedservices plugin to display a preview that the target site itself controls the look of.
