Hi, We've just migrated to IPB from vBulletin, so bear with our newb questions for the next few days 😊 We've noticed that some users have managed to embed YouTube clips in their forum signatures. I wonder if before this was just a YouTube link (in vBulletin) and has now been converted to the actual video? Either way, we don't want users to be able to put images or videos in their signatures, we literally just want text and links. We have set maximum number of images to '0' for the usergroup but it doesn't seem to impact on this? Thanks!

I'm using IPS for a writing community, and our events are all virtual. So we might have a write-in on Discord, or a challenge hosted in the forums, etc. Would it be possible to modify the venue function of the calendar to support virtual venues, such as a hyperlink, or even just to display simple text like "Discord"? When I tried just inputting text on the street address line and nothing else, the app ignored the entry.

I remember in previous versions it was relatively simple to go into the language pack and change what things are called, but I've been having trouble with that. Maybe I just didn't hit all instances, I'm not sure. In this specific situation, I'm trying to modify some of the Calendar language. All of our events are virtual, not in-person, so I'd like to change some key words, such as "Going" changing to "Participating." Does anyone have guidance on how to best do this? Thank you!

I cannot for the life of me find where to set a user group can edit content created by another user. Admins can do this, but no one else. This is for database content, not the messageboard. Thanks

On my forum-index, the last posts in a forum are displayed with last post dates. When i enable translation keys, i get '_date_this_week_c', which only shows me; <word key="_date_this_week_c" js="0">%s at %s</word> The same result for the sidebar topic-lists; <word key="topic_started_date" js="0">Started %s</word> The wildcards show daynames that aren't translated, after translating the day_0, day_1, day_2 etc. keys, and the MO,TU,WE etc. keys. Am i missing some translations?

I plan to keep a website running for 6 additional months for one of my licenses, but the IPS software will be closed. No registrations, not visible ( except the admin ). Absolutely no activity. Just CLOSED. the way it has been for the last 2 months. I'd like to move the license to a new project, new url and create a new community. Am I allowed to keep the old website closed ? Or I need to delete the whole IPS from the old domain, before installing it in the new website ? If I move the license to a new domain, can I keep the old installation closed for a few additional months ?

I just switched to Bluehost and SSL is part of my package. There is a directory called ssl. Am I supposed to have my forum in that folder? I am new at the SSL stuff so I am not sure what to do to make my site secure (which Facebook requires) Any help would be appreciated.

I have a member who is having an issue with their account. I asked them to send me a screenshot and in the top right corner it says : Sync isn't working Sign-in details are out of date Sign in again. Is this a Facebook issue or something? They have signed in again but it keeps coming up and as a result she can't see some parts of the community. Very odd :) Melissa

Hello, unfortunately the conversion of my old MyBB 1.6.12 forum to Invision Community 4.3.6 did not transfer the profile pictures to the new system. None of the files were copied and the database column for the profile pictures contains the value 'NULL' instead of the links to the according profile pictures. Also all the background tasks are already finished. Adding new profile pictures works though. Any ideas what could have gone wrong?

Is this working as expected or is something wrong with the streams? Left is showing with option "Content items, comments, and reviews" right window "content items only". Both show a review (unread Topic badge), but it should show only on the left window. And the red marked post should be shown on the right window too.

I keep up with bounced email by turning off notifications for these users as well as moving them to a bounced email group. I still get these bounced emails even though I turned off all notifications. Where do I change this? Thanks

We've got a fairly long list of bad words setup in IPB. We want to make sure people cannot register with these words in their choice of user or display name. I presume IPB applies the censor to user names, but I wanted to double check?

Alternatively: What is the data structure of an XML custom database import? I have an SQL backup of one of the custom "database" tables. I need to re-import that, but I don't know how to link that up so it fits back in with the rest of IPB. To clarify I've imported my table backup here. But it doesn't show up here. How do I relink it into the backend?
