Copyright removal issue?

Could someone confirm that the copyright removal function still applies to 2.2 I have to confess to uploading to a live board and resetting all my skins for a FULL upgrade this time around. The upgrade completed successfully although the IPS copyright shows although the licenced key was still there. Im happy to log a ticket if required - (just seeing if there is a known prob?)

invision does not install with the new mysqli driver... platform is windows XP pro, apache 2, mysql 4.1.21, php 5.1.6 affected file: \ips_kernel\class_db_mysqli_client.php affected line: 675 $this->record_row = mysqli_fetch_array($query_id, MYSQL_ASSOC); change to: $this->record_row = mysqli_fetch_array($query_id, MYSQLI_ASSOC); a licence discount for bug solvers? :D without this fix i could not install the board, i got a ipb warning with errors on mysqli_fetch_array (second parameter was wrong type) already posted in bug tracker (1 minute ago)

Hi there, I'm just wondering wether you can add a possibility to make global threads just like the announcements. I want to have global threads (that the people can answer to the global announcements) and polls. The thread is posted in one forum (like any offtopic of the board or something like that) and you can just do a global pin on it, if you're an administrator or moderator (just like the announcements). The threads will appear also in the "important topic" list next to the only pinned topics in a forum. But maybe with another tag in front of them to mark them as global threads. I use [ .: pin :. ] for pinned threads and I would use [ .: global :. ] for the other o…

Hi , i'm not sure if it's the right place to post that..if not , please admin move this to the appropriate place. My question is simple..id this version will be compatible to be install ( update ) on a previous version ( 2.1.7) or it's completly a different system.. Not sure where to post this so it's going here. I've done an upgrade to RC1 on a backup site and all went well. Now normally on the board index I have blue forum links to match the colour soccer club the forum has been created for. So I've edited under global hyperlink styles as you do so forum links are blue. Except that has now changed every member link in the Memberlist to blue, as well as each member names in topic view. One little change and it changed much more than it ever has done before. I just wanted forum links a different colour :ph34r:

I just posted in another thread, added something to my post and wanted to add the "edited by" thing to make the people see, that theres a change. Is it left over when you're the last one who posted? :) But you can still mark it as such...? Is it left over like you just add things via fast-reply to your last post, when you've been the last poster? a little bit confusing that you can check the "add edited by" box.

I dont know if its a bug but its very annoying. In the installer I cant see what folders I should chmod because my hostname takes so much space. http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=utennavnkd3.jpg I use Firefox 1.5 and 1280-1024 screensize. PS: I know what folders to chmod, and I can also copy paste to find out. But might be annoying for new users.

Hello, I have been under a fairly constant attack by spammers to get access to our site. I guess we're posted on some spammer's list or board. I now have Admin Validation on and I'm having to go in on a fairly regular basis to remove the accounts. It would be nice when I'm deleting these accounts that I had an option to add the selected users to the Banned IP and Banned Email lists and possibly the Banned Users list. For the Email, it would be good to add a single userid or any userid at a domain (e.g. *@domain). As the software is now I have to cut and paste the IP addresses and email addresses patterns into a temporary buffer, navigate around to the Manage Ban Filter…

RSS Link Feature

I currently use the RSS feature to keep tabs on new threads on my board on the go as I view them on my Treo or Blackberry. I'd like to see a feature in the new board that allows the links created in the RSS export to link to the LO-FI version of the board. This would load MUCH faster on my portable devices since I don't care about the pictures, etc. Thanks!

Okay so i've been running 2.1 since for like ages, and i have a theme that differs so much from ipb its insane, so its gonna take ages to grab all the enhancements of 2.2 etc. the problem is will their be changes from beta2, to the final??? i dont want to start the 2.2 skinning until i know the stuff is final. any help with this? itd be ace to see the new bits for 2.2 so that i can add them to my 2.1 theme. and save time.

i have a couple points which i would like to suggest here. 1) Users should have an option to add users as favourite users in their list and a request should be sent to added user asking him wether to accept him or not. 2) There should be a system showing us how active is the user in general in the past few months by a start next to him name ( the brighter the star the more active he is ) 3) an option to hide topics from certain groups to view 4) a small personal guestbooks for everyusers profile where he could leave a small message to favourite users 5) I personally think some1 should something about this overloaded sticked threads. I would like to have a background music feature on the "User Page/portal". As we have witnessed music have contributed a lot to site like Myspace and iTunes. Mp3 files are smaller so allowing a member to upload a background tune to their page can be a fancy option.
