I have seen it on a few forums and now live on this one. :) I am going to go check the client center right now to see if there's anything in there for RC4 right now so I can start reporting bugs. If not, I'll wait until tomorrow. Note: At the time of this post, when I say "released," I mean it is live on this forum.

After upgrading there are a load of settings and stuff left over from old mods, when I try and delete them I get something like:- Also I have database tables which aren't in use from old mods. Can someone give me a list of all the default tables in a 2.2 RC3 database, plus a way to get rid of the settings. Also I want to know if these are default settings:

I really like the usergroups functionality they have on phpBB... it allows them to have a group leader who can accept or decline join requests and can kick people out of the usergroup and whatnot. They're basically little clubs, but I think the idea would be GREAT for some sites out there, especially big gaming sites with different clans/guilds and all... Hi, I have searched the web for answers about this topic, but as it does not seem to exist I would like to propose it. I would like to be able to do the following. 1. Set the "standard" (not custom) profile fields to "mandatory" (or not) so peaple have to fill them out when registering if I so choose. 2. Edit or remove the "standard" fields I don't want displayed. 3. Edit what fields (and how) to show up in a users post (below the avatar), like I can with the custom fields. It would be nice if you can "toggle" your CP menu options. Like; Messenger, Community Blog, Invision Gallery, Subscriptions, Personal Profile, Options, etc! so you can minus the one you do not use or need not to use..and there will be less options..

I'd very much like to be able to select which groups appear on The moderating team page, similar to MyBB and vBulletin. o.o We're thinking on converting to IPB from vBulletin, but one of the hitches we reached was the limitedness of the moderating team page. An example of this would be our Assistant Administrator group. On vBulletin, we have them classified on the View Forum Leaders page as what they are, Vice Administrators. On IPB, they'd be clustered in with normal Administrators, which we don't want. Banning IP Addresses

Hi, I get a handful of spam messages every day. Usually I delete the message and user and add their IP address to the ban list. It's just occurred to me that unless they have a fixed IP address, this won't be very useful. Is it really worth banning IP addresses in this way, or should I just clear my ban list now, and if not, what is the best way to deal with the spammers?

backing up your database

everytime I try to Back Up my SQL Database I get an error. I click on the link below the message "Once you have clicked the link below, please wait until your browser prompts you with a dialogue box. This may take some time depending on the size of the database you are backing up. " and it takes a long time loading, but the dialogue box does not appear, just a page saying the page could not be recovered. I was told on IPSBeyond that is due to the size of the data base, which is too large to perform a back-up in the control panel. was something done to fix this error???

Can you put in the final release a feature that would allow the administrators to force the customers to pass from a visualization mode (e.g.: Linear Plus) to an other (e.g.: Standard) as it happens for the skin? Thanks however. Sorry for my bad english.

People know they shouldn't post this stuff here, but I suspect they are mostly using pirated software and cannot sign up to IPS Beyond. :thumbsup:

I think it would be nice if the search had 1 more setting under the current one for "search only topic titles" which can be checked or unchecked like the other. I would probably rarely even have to use full search if that one was in there. :)

I know there is huge potential for this to be inappropriately used, or have no use at all.. however, I think it would be very useful if there was some way of setting topics as "urgent" or something similar. It could be used very nicely in moderator's forums, notification forums, and especially on "services" forums, (skins, software, customer support). Perhaps there could be a setting on who could use this feature to eliminate the misuse. Best wishes, Callum

I was wondering why the My Friends tab, can not open up like the My Assistant tab? I believe it uses Java Script to open, much is defiantly much nicer then that ugly new pop up window. A. I would like to see, in a future update, more advanced filtering methods be introduced--not as far as what can be filtered, but in what is meant by filtering. Currently it is a direct text-to-text system; the only factors which play in are the text which is to be filtered and whether it will be filtered tightly [any instance] or casually [standalone]. New US federal rules on electronic discovery take effect today. http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/...&ID=6239820 Request an optional archiving feature for all PMs be added to IPB. Companies need an ability to retain and store these as part of their document retention program.
